201  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: October 09, 2022, 02:44:24 PM
If we have a positive vision in the future, the thing we have to do is saving, whatever economic and financial conditions, we must be able to focus on saving, besides saving, of course a good thing is investing, with investing, we are like planting trees that continue to grow.
Saving is important - be it inflation or the normal life.
Having emergency fund is very important . . trouble and bad luck comes uninvited. You never know what is going to happen in the next minute. Sometime of professional or personal life changes in a jiffy
So better be prepared! Always

Before bad things happen we must always anticipate, for example the inflation trend that occurs must be responded to by increasing the source of income, the benefits of saving are for very emergency things such as illness or needs that we cannot postpone.
Having emergency fund is as important as having the monthly fund.
Life is so unpredicatable - one should always be ready for unforseen - this happens once in a lifetime but here is no denial it happens

emergency fund = savings = monthly fund is all important in my opinion because it can be used at the right time. especially in times like this, inflation is getting worse in my country, making my savings as a helper to meet needs
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 09, 2022, 12:26:17 PM
Quote
CONCLUSION
Most time we blame our government and economy for being poor. Although they contribute largely to the masses poverty but we also need to work on ourself to make a difference out of the bad economy.

right, poverty is not the government's fault 100% the fault is in us too as you said,
managing finances is the most accurate thing so that we avoid poverty during this inflationary period, but no one knows with the current situation.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: October 09, 2022, 12:19:30 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

the fact is that social media is now a place of online business and is almost dominated by women who sell their products, they can still earn money without having to leave their responsibilities as wives, but there are still many who use it as social media in general.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Our Bitcoin and Other Assets If We Die? on: October 08, 2022, 11:46:21 PM
Hello guys just don't get me wrong. As we all know that one day we have to die. So for this I was wondering that if we have at east 1 million dollars in cryptocurrency or just couple of buck like me  Grin and nobody in our family and also friends do not know anything than what should be the possibility.
I think that's the reason still there are millions of BTC that are still missing cause of lost key or dead Bitcoin holders too.
I think we should at least make backup  file and should transfer in Bank Safe so that when they receive than they know how to retrieve it.

Still not getting Any merit 😁

it's actually simple, every time we have valuable assets, there must be a careful planning who our heirs will be, even if in small quantities if it is useful in the future, it is mandatory to record it and to whom we will give it
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: October 08, 2022, 11:34:31 PM

I don't really think that are so many women involved with bitcoin or any kind of cryptocurrency. But anyway, I think that is a nice statistic.

because today's women, have thought investing in crypto could be better and give good returns. compared to investing in a bank that has a period for taking profits
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: October 08, 2022, 11:09:46 PM
I saw this post and what do you think? Is it possible for him to become that rich in such a short time?

look at the post here https://boletimbitcoin.com/2022/05/19/com-o-bitcoin-el-salvador-sera-o-pais-mais-rico-do-mundo-em-8-anos/

the article is in portuguese so i need a translation, i think this is too much in responding to the situation, it's not that easy 8 years can make 1 country rich, but we can't intimidate this country with dream  countries, all can hope with bitcoin
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins future is Bright on: October 07, 2022, 02:25:11 PM
The period of bitcoin will always be bright, where bitcoin will always be the talk of millennials, and every year there will always be new investors to own btc.
but we also can't be sure that everything will run smoothly obstacles will definitely exist but let's live what we have we follow the technological direction of this blockchain
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 13 years ago... on: October 07, 2022, 02:16:33 PM
I found the below image online, this was exactly 13 years ago when the price of bitcoin was still as good as zero, it is seen on the table that exactly today, being the 6th of October, 2009(13 years ago), with $1, one could purchase BTC1,130.53...
I then tried to calculate what BTC1,130.53 is worth today according to Bitcoin's current market price, and I am indeed overwhelmed.
Makes me kind of asking myself where I was and what was I doing at this time 13 years ago  Huh Huh

How does this make you feel?

EDIT: I found this article too really interesting to read - https://www.cryptodefinance.com/1300btc-worth-1dollar-new-liberty-standard/

no one expected bitcoin to be like this, if i knew bitcoin 13 years ago, i think i am currently enjoying the results of my investment,
but anything can't be repeated so let's take it today for the day after tomorrow and so on until BTC reaches the highest value
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When You Heard About Bitcoin For the First Time? on: October 07, 2022, 02:12:29 PM
I know bitcoin in 2013 but it takes a process to understand what bitcoin is and how to transact it, to invest in new btc in the last 3 years and thankfully I enjoyed the new ATH btc although not in large amounts but I am more grateful and believe bitcoin can provide benefits if you continue to be patient
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc not money on: October 07, 2022, 08:27:11 AM
......... I am really waiting for bitcoin to overthrow all currency of the world.
are you sure about this, whether the country will approve / recognize it as a currency, it is impossible for bitcoin to overthrow all world currencies,
bitcoin is not like fiat which is needed in every country and all walks of life,
sorry bitcoin if in my country only certain people know about this, and they don't care about bitcoin but they are hard to find out what bitcoin is and its advantages, because they are very sensitive to the name money more trust in fiat
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 07, 2022, 08:12:47 AM

And if we are still waiting for the lowest price, I think it can make us late in deciding because we can lose the moment to buy at the lowest price. If we see a downward trend and the price is also decreasing, that's a good time to buy so we don't miss the buying moment. The price now is good enough to buy and even if the price drops later, it will be a good low price to buy. But it all depends on the results of the analysis you do.

right now,  i think the price is right enough to buy btc, if we are  keep delaying and looking for the right time i think we are  will misstep and fall behind, convincing yourself to buy is the right thing at this time
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you stake stablecoins now? on: October 02, 2022, 03:06:04 PM
There indeed are many altcoins out there offering good APY and Evmos is one of them. I'd suggest you make your research on Evmos and probably put it into consideration. Believe me, it's worth putting money on.

currently need to review everything carefully, so as not to repeat the Luna case, actually with a large APY does not guarantee that our money is safe,
For me, if I want to save stablecoin to stake, it's better for me to save it in the bank than in the exchange
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: October 02, 2022, 02:57:36 PM

The question is what app that you have been used to store your money? If your 2 FA didn't work and i do believe if there would be something wrong with you or your app and if you didn't mention what kind of wallet or app that already used. You can try to enable 2FA verification and any withdrawal that will be  happening in your wallet will require 2fa to be able to take it from your wallet. This is adding second security layer to your wallet but it's better if you can encrypt it as well. This is increasing the security of your wallet. Im always using 2 fa for every wallet or assets to make it even safer.

I use a lobstr wallet, I activated 2fa, but maybe  it's true that you said something was wrong when I activated it, most likely the intruder had entered before I installed 2 fa
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: October 02, 2022, 02:51:18 PM
there are many favorite coins, I think people usually take 5 coins under bitcoin, but sometimes people still ask what coins are good, even though it is clear that the top 5 coins under bitcoin are worth investing in,
I will not take high risks by investing in new coins and have high hype because they will not last long.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 02, 2022, 02:44:34 PM
In many days i see in my port filo 5$ up and 5$ down , what is the best strategy to increase profit?

The profit from crypto cannot be obtained daily, especially in this bear market. because it is a tough market. we have to look for loopholes to make a profit, the surefire way to buy as low as possible sell as high as possible. instant value of profit 50% of my capital I sell my assets when the market is green again,  that's how my trading cycle continues
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow fiat with your Bitcoin and never sell on: October 01, 2022, 09:09:44 AM
I don't get you. Based on what I understood you're planning to borrow fiat once you've got enough bitcoin. Does this mean you're planning to borrow money placing bitcoin as the collateral. For borrowed money you need to pay regular interest.

Maybe this can turn to be effective, if the borrowed money is invested on something that brings you regular income.

Yes, if I need something, I would borrow the money instead of selling the Bitcoin to purchase it. Michael Saylor talks about this. If I have to pay 5% interest, but Bitcoin’s price raises over 5% a year, then I would be making money. If I sell the Bitcoin for fiat, then inflation will eat up that money. This is apparently what everyone from Elon Musk to Donald Trump does. They don’t actually have any money. They just have property, and borrow against the property because the property is more valuable than the cash.

maybe I'm one who is not the same as you, I'd better sell my bitcoins if I need money, especially since I'm just a casual worker, I save bitcoins for savings if I need money, compared to borrowing money with 5% interest, it's better if i release my btc, than i have to have debt and plus 5% bonus
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 62nd independence to all Nigeria Bitcoiners on: October 01, 2022, 08:58:39 AM
Happy Independence Day to all the Nigerian Bitcointalk users. The country have got independence from the colonial masters, but the people of Nigeria weren't enjoying the real independence. From the source it is astonishing to see 27% of the population into cryptocurrency usage. In all aspects slowly cryptocurrency usage is bringing freedom to the people who are getting used to it. For now the country needs freedom from the corruption, and the same can be made possible through blockchain technology. Hope the country with lot of resources grow good.

being independent but not feeling free is really painful, an interesting topic for me to find info about nigeria,
but I am quite surprised that 27% of citizens use crypto for transactions, what about their fiat?
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen If Bitcoin got stabled ? on: October 01, 2022, 08:23:58 AM
bitcoin becomes stable I don't think it will happen because bitcoin was not created to be stable, the unstable value of bitcoin is the hallmark of bitcoin and the limited supply of bitcoin that makes the value of bitcoin unstable because people are competing to own it even though it's only a third of 1 btc
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be Palestine's currency of freedom?? on: September 30, 2022, 02:45:56 PM
I don't think I can, because bitcoin is not a means of payment like fiat,
what is my highlight here you say elsavador is financially free is this real? there are many articles that state this country has not succeeded in using btc as a legal currency, and the society is still as it used to be.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment projects ? on: September 29, 2022, 11:30:09 PM

Now I want to Holder long-term projects. I like platform coins like: SOL, ETH, ... But because it has grown too much
People can suggest hidden gem projects. marketcap under 500 million dollars

I think every project has positive and negative values, rarely 100% perfect in the same class as BTC, there are still shortcomings, especially if you are a new project, try to see the GTN, I see it has enough potential
