201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:  INTERNET OF COINS ⛓ blockchain freedom (r)evolution  on: January 30, 2017, 08:38:50 AM
@gramen: It specifies the multiplication factor needed to denote a full unit of a cryptocurrency, comprised of its smallest fraction. For example, 1 bitcoin is 100000000 satoshi's, which is 10⁸. In other words, one satoshi is a one hundred millionth of a Bitcoin. That is why it says factor=8 for Bitcoin, and many of its sibling cryptocurrencies, as hybridd is configured to calculate from the smallest possible fraction.

Thanks! We're being swamped in e-mail and messages right now, but will get back to you as soon as possible.

We have extra TOR and I2P buttons on the frontpage of the website now. Happy surfing for the deep web users!  Smiley

Additional language support coming soon.

@gramen: Keep those questions coming. It helps us to make things easier and better.

@gramen: Your recipe syntax is good. There are some things that you should change to get it working.

First of all, when you specify a module, you should look in the directory modules and enter one of the names you find there. Which module to use depends on which technology the cryptocurrency uses. In the case of Florincoin it is the module altcoin, since that module can hook in all Bitcoin and Litecoin derivatives.

Also make sure you enter Florincoin's correct RPC port.

@Dotrego, @JoltCola: Added Github link to the OP.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:  INTERNET OF COINS ⛓ blockchain freedom (r)evolution  on: January 27, 2017, 12:20:32 PM
@gramen: hybridd.conf contains recipe's for hooking in coins. Every recipe describes which module is to be used for connecting to the daemon of a coin. You can sure copy/paste one of the sections in the .conf to create a recipe for your coin. Feel free to post your results, and let us know if it works.

Remember that the current hybridd altcoin module is still in development, so there may be changes to recipes for coins down the road.

@cengsuwuei: Total supply of our first hybridd asset will be 5000000 tokens. It works over 5 different cryptocurrency systems. So it will use both XCP and NXT technologies at the same time, as well as LSK, Omni and ETH.

@arteis406: True. It is still 53 days before we launch our fundraiser. Compared to some projects that may be a bit long. However, we want to prepare properly for it.

Good news is, we are currently being investigated by a due diligence team for a large listing site. We hope they'll find our project solid and provide a review of their findings.

Heh, I am not in the devs team, but I think this project belongs to all the community! Good going guys, now even whitepaper is there.   Cool

Want to be added to our dev team?

Thanks, was about to mention it. You jumped me to it. Smiley The link is https://github.com/internetofcoins.

@gramen: Full nodes run blockchains to support cryptocurrency networks and transactions. Lighter nodes need not store blockchains, which saves space. I'd suggest you make your laptop function as a light client. You could turn a raspberry pi with harddisk into a full node if you like, to support your favorite cryptocurrencies.

Welcome back. English? We've got that covered. However, we haven't got a translator for Klingon yet. Wink

We don't see Cosmos as competition to what we are doing. Smiley As a foundation we are more focused on collaboration than competition. The guys at Cosmos have a good idea that involves a kind of pegging that we think would benefit our project as well.

As you can read on our website we want to make all blockchain related value systems into an integrated financial web. This environment will enable coins to participate in a system that requires no changes to be made to their wallet code and we use no pegging construction.

The design Cosmos is developing uses zones that peg value. These zones may be very interesting for high-frequency trading, while we are currently focused on providing personal finance for everyone. We don't use a blockchain like Cosmos for instance, because we are more interesting interested in combining the blockchains that are already there. This doesn't rule out that we may like to integrate Cosmos into our environment in the future to enable high frequency trading. At this time, however, it is not our priority.

We've been working on a method of consensus that has no need of a blockchain. We will share more about this when we have done our alpha tests with the testing group.

We're posting some more info soon about the connections we've made at the Blockchain Expo. A lot of interesting projects here.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:  INTERNET OF COINS ⛓ blockchain freedom (r)evolution  on: January 22, 2017, 05:30:26 PM
@yhlsqj: Yes, we have been working on this since 2014, and have already put our early alpha code on Github. It contains the hybridd core, processor and scheduler, plus some rudimentary modules. These are functional, but not production ready. You can clone the repository and execute...
Code:
./hybridd
...in the directory of the alpha to test it. It is an init of the processing core, so no complete bootstrap yet.

We are currently working on our first alpha release which will be featuring a GUI, and can perform deterministic transactions from the processor core using client-side code injection (i.e. no sending of private keys over SSL, like we've seen in some 'secure' web front-ends). Our alpha test group will be testing this release the next four months, so we can fix any security and cryptography related bugs, after which we will upload it to Github.

Would like to meet your friends at the Expo. We do not have a table there, but they can meet up with us right after the speech, or find us (three of our team) walking around the Expo. Smiley Any way I can recognize them?

tomorrow there is a gift not?

@budibayu: Tomorrow we are giving a speech in London.

@alicex: Thanks! We'll contact you right after the London Expo.

Thx logictense, we'll review the story to make it more simple and clear.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:  INTERNET OF COINS ⛓ blockchain freedom (r)evolution on: January 21, 2017, 05:20:36 PM
@PolyPanto: Thanks! Will look at in transit to London Expo. Have patience, we're very busy on it. Smiley

@rindo: STORMWIND was our test asset. It was also a hybrid, however, was managed centralized and via exchange API's. We found that suboptimal, and since then have been working on Internet of Coins to decentralize the concept of STORMWIND. So for now, the previous test asset is no more, but its idea is alive.

@2012: Thankyou for reading. Any comments, ideas and criticism welcome. We want to improve the theory, and we'll be putting the LaTeX source of the document up on Github soon.

@Machina_US: Indonesian sounds good. We're looking for chinese, russian and japanese as well. Please send in an e-mail using the contact form to become a translator.

@celot: That's right. Grin We're still around and working diligently.
