202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BITCOIN-SCRYPT POOL] ★★[iMine.at]★★ | PROP Payout - Dedicated Servers on: March 20, 2014, 06:17:09 AM
Is this the ANN for that BTCS coin?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=318253.0

Very confusing, the logo clearly says B2. This is also referred to as BTCS (very wrong and un-Googlable), BTC-S, BTC-Scrypt and BTC2.

So first this coin needs a proper ANN that has list of pools and exchanges. Then you promote your pool.

I dont even know how much the coin is worth.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NET]Netcoin Evolution - NOW WITH GRAVITY WELL! on: March 19, 2014, 06:34:56 PM
It is possible that a few sellers are waiting for this blockhalving push, if they don't see a signe of upwardstrend they panic and fill buyorders and after that the price jumps 2-10 fold.

I think as long as we fly under the radar like we are without getting much attention here, we will be fine. If we get lots of attention here on this board, tons of people mining it then it gets out of hand.

So far its been doing a small steady push up, that's better than the typical jumps like LTC which crashes in within minutes after.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool proof | KGW | no-premine on: March 19, 2014, 08:03:49 AM
Can someone please help me with the VTMiner setting for 7970? I'm getting only 250-280 while I think I should be getting 50% of my Scrypt rate which is equal to 365 kh/s.

My 2.6 MH/s rig only does 900kh/s on Vertminer.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CHIKUN! [KUN] - SHA - KGW on: March 19, 2014, 08:01:28 AM
Dude what is this SHA coins coming up? SHA died in 2013 bro, talk NScrypt now.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: hashra.com asic scrypt.... scam? on: March 19, 2014, 07:47:29 AM
Hashra really dropped the ball here in terms of credibility.

Indeed.

It appears my package is near me but got held up with yesterday's snow storm.. but on a related note my order from Zoomhash (cheaper too!) is expected to be delivered tomorrow.. and the order was put in on 14 March (last Friday)... which puts this whole Hashra mess into perspective, and displays a huge red flag for anyone thinking about ordering from them.

Just curious why would anyone buy these with no resale value (90% cost) when you can buy a $150 R7 265 that does 445 kh/s and has 70% resale value in a year??

I never understand this ASIC buying mentality. I see those poor souls trying to get $10 for the USB BTC 0.333 GH miner from 2013 when they paid $100 for. I feel bad. Those who bought AMD GPUs back then at $300 can still get $250 for them.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NET]Netcoin Evolution - NOW WITH GRAVITY WELL! on: March 19, 2014, 07:43:26 AM
Now #1 coin to mine on Cryptsy. This coin will be a good hold for when block halving comes in a few days.

It may drop a day before the halving just like last time, be warned! Tongue

This is at such a low point that I doubt anyone would sell that hard. This is a hard rock bottom for this coin. This is one of those old coins I would put in line wiht LTC, BTC and VTC. This is from before the altcoin scamcoin madness of Feb 2014.

Wow now I know what "DECENTRALIZED" means, it means BULLSHIT. Anyone having access to the FKINGCOIN.org website or being the OP on a thread can switch the wallet with a modified source and make everyone's coins worthless?

No I think you learned what CENTRALIZED means, as in the alt coin had such a small community that it was essentially one person.

All these altcoins are CENTRALIZED then not just goldcoin.

This guy akumaburn if he is the OP on the [ANN] thread, he basically is the god of that coin, he can manipulate the wallet, fork the chain, create a new fake chain and have the new updated 1.2 wallet download the "fake" chain which he created to have some other people's coins move into his account.

There is no "decentralization" here, we are just kidding ourselves.

Bitcoin may be different somehow, but still, someone (or a few) has (have) the password to update the QT wallet on bitcoin.org which could change everything in a snap. He could put a code in there to take the coins out of 1% of the Bitcoin owners and send them to his own account. No one would care about that 1% screa, ing their lungs out in these threads. Many may not even find out before its late. Such a thing could completely destroy all altcoins.

I don't know what you're smoking but don't do it anymore. At least not while you're on this forum.

Go back to the support section and do your homework again before even thinking of writing this things down.

Wait? Im smoking or are you living in denial? Just like the developer of a coin can switch the code to implement KGW he can also implement other code to take YOUR coins out of your WALLET anytime in anyway, maybe in percentages, ANYWAY he wants, he writes the CODE he makes the decision. Who is going to catch that? Even Apple cant find loop holes in their Safari and constantly gives updates. You think people on this forum can catch crooks like that?

You are the one who is in denial my friend. I am not smoking anything.

Looks good,i will start mining..... Grin

Mining is not so profitable (even LTC is better) mainly because the price is low. Thats why Im mining other stuff and just buying this one. It will take a long time to mine enough to make it worth. No one seems to be wanting to sell anymore, I guess all holders know this is a reversal point.

Now the question is, if the investor who come in and start buying, are they greedy enough to stay for the long term 1,000+ Satoshi? Or they will jump out at 500? This was trading at 4,000 Satoshi in just January.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NET]Netcoin Evolution - NOW WITH GRAVITY WELL! on: March 19, 2014, 03:19:50 AM
Netcoin seems attracted to the LTC upwards trend.

Yes historically it has been tied to LTC, some exhanges like BTER only have NET/LTC actually so the new gains in LTC will definitely help it gain its previous support levels.

That is wrong, here is netcoins biggest pair: http://bter.com/trade/net_cny thats the price maker right there.

90% of netcoins volume was traded there on that pair for the past months.

Well I guess its rising slowly against the BTC.

VERY thinly traded ready for a huge gap up. If a small 1 BTC investor takes a note of this and comes in with a buy order it could practically double the price of this with a single buy order. It will wipe all the sell orders out. Disclaimer: I have 10,000 Net coins and in the process of buying about 50k more as I convert coins.

Been mining NET for a while now, really like this coin and community

Yes the community is great.

The best part about NETCOIN is first off its name, its ZERO pre-mined that the coin does not have a "theme" its not just to buy coffee, buy GPU, its not about an iOS game, or people of Auroraland, neight is it tied to an internet MEME or Mr. Satoshi.

Its basically a COIN to do transactions online. PERIOD. No colors, themes etc attached to it.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Netcoin | Scrypt | **No Premine** on: March 18, 2014, 07:21:44 PM
Accumulation period is concluding. Looks like it hit a hard support line at 250 and it is bouncing back. No sellers now and difficulty is set so that its not profitable to mine at this time, therefore very little new coins are hitting the market.

This will be a nice ride. Not to the moon, but it will be a nice steady profit IMO.

Looking at that chart it seems like there will be some resistance at 700 Satoshi then smooth up to 1,000.

Remember this was trading at 4,000 in Jan. ITs not a scam coin and was ZERO pre-mined. There were some developers and graphic artists who got in early and were probably cashing out but those are long gone.

The difficulty does not allow hash farms to mine and sell a lot of coins at this time because while its not profitable to mine but profitable to buy and sell high.
Enjoy the hints, watch the ride, listen and learn. If you think I am pumping this then look at my previous comments on this thread stating how expensive it was at 1,200 Satoshi. I bashed it then and now I am supporting it. There is no pump and dump. 1.3 BTC can catapult this to 430 Satoshi min, the rest I cant see on Cryptsy.

It's funny because the exchanges with the nicer frontends are the ones that end up getting hacked...the ones with the crappier frontend however...well only time will tell.

Nobody is getting hacked. Some exchanges are a front to steal bitcoins. The owners simply TAKE the coins and walk away, they don't even have to run.

Just jumped to 276-291 this thing has legs.

With a small push from an investor this could bring in the crowd. There are no sell walls left all the way to 430 that Cryptsy shows, super thin trading.  Shocked
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NET]Netcoin Evolution - NOW WITH GRAVITY WELL! on: March 18, 2014, 04:25:02 AM
According to Cryptsy a mere 1.32 BTC investment would propel this all the way up to 430!! No other coin is traded this thin!! Love it.
