MemoryCoin is the momentum algorithm. But from the pool side it shouldn't matter its just brokering blocks. If you are going to base on MPOS, I am planning to build example mining app that consumes mpos api, which give you a head start for custom app.

I think good marketing activity would include things to gain broad awareness/publicity: - comment on news articles with broad distribution e.g. forbes/businessinsider/etc. and include short blurb about Particle. You don't have to drop links (might get flag as spam), just mentioning the software helps get awareness. - Twitter - Tumblr - comment on blog posts - comment on crypto related youtube videos - comment on forex related youtube videos interest new trader - reddit comments - make short videos with webcam post to youtube (like fyrstikken does) - Screenshots to instagram and pinterest - start a blog and write blog posts about it Would really like to engage more general public interest, and start grow outside of the niche crypto community. Posting on threads here etc. is good to keep existing interest going, but need to grow the potential user base too. Basic content marketing / social media marketing. Engage people on Twitter etc. and casually mention Particle. Also generating newsworthy events. This would be like gaining an integration with coinpayments and similar services, we should be pushing hard for this. Maximize utility for users. Of course, I post this but I am terrible at keeping up with it, because too much code to write so I don't have time to sit on twitter etc. But the community can! Like in rise of the apes on FX channel last night, Caesar say one ape weak, many ape together strong. edit: Another place to maybe start to try to pull users/interest from are traders on investorshub.advfn.com.

I believe Particle has a shot later in the year, maybe springtime into summer.
Definitely agree Unobtanium. It was already over $5 and I think will go beyond.

Warning: This thread is very graphic heavy! We are quickly approaching a beta release. As requested by the community, we've created another thread as a progress log of what is coming. We will post screenshots as we make progress so you can see the cool stuff we are making. Blog Posts:Particle Advanced Wallet Development Update 1/25/2014 – Approaching BetaWhat is the Particle Advanced Wallet? This is an all new wallet implementation in C#/.NET platform. It works cross platform using Mono (v3). For faster time to market, what we have done is encapsulated the daemon (particled) behind the scenes. The wallet runs a basic internal message bus, brokers requests to/from the daemon using BitcoinRPCSharp library. What are Particle Apps? The Particle Advanced Wallet (aka BitParticle) support custom apps/add-ons, as like Firefox, Chrome, iPhone etc. Apps are put in the sandbox, and extend the functionality of the wallet. Do we need Angry Birds in a wallet? No. Of course not! However, there are use cases today where this bring value, like consumption of various trade APIs. We're really unsure of just how far it will go, we're opening the door and providing the platform. There are a lot of creative people out there so I'm sure we will see some amazing stuff we can't really imagine right now. Once the wallet functionality is completed we will stand up a first example app store/repo. It is similar idea to how Linux package repositories work. Like open source App Store. Our focus has been on reaching feature parity with the Qt wallet, so we can start using the new wallet as swap out replacement for it.Ok, some sexy screenshots for you:The main dashboard:Send:Receive:Transaction History:Real Time System Monitor App:This has option to turn off piping of daemon output for less chatty. Allows to see what is flowing on message bus. Collapsed mode:If you want to keep small bar at top of screen to monitor. Pluggable Protocol URIWe have also implement pluggable protocol for custom uri (particle://). This is similar to bitconi: uri scheme but with some more capabilities. It follows such scheme: particle://appslot/action/parameter/parameter/... For core wallet it is for instance:particle://prt/send/address/amount/comment For apps it is:particle://myapptokeniknowhowtohandle/actionisupport/parameter/... Apps can listen on the message bus for URI message and handle if they support. We have thread on BitParticle forum where you can post your app ideas or wish list, please come participate (we also have live chat box): http://forum.bitparticle.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=35

ok moonmoon, let's test. Try this: particle://prt/send/PaXJ74wUwieuRqfQi2yR1Ue5fdqejkcx7N/100000/buy%20something%20nice%20for%20wifes%20birthday I Got another idea since coinmarketcap is such a useful tool for everybody is there some way to make the wallet pull info for the coins you select from the website and into the wallet? I mean i know you can just open a browser and goto the site but im just thinking of some more features to make the wallet be Disruptive. and this would be like having a ticker for all your coins in one place. Yes, this is how we are pulling PRT/BTC info in. Most of these sites have APIs coming but not out yet, so we "screen scrape" the page from the raw html. Can do this for anything you can think of. edit: What if we had a real ticker tape running across the top of the form? Like a wall street ticker?

maybe i didn't pay attention because in most cases i read this late at night, but will it pick up particle:// links from browser? Like Skype does with Click to call. That will make things easier when buying stuff... No Paypal redirection or things like that, but still even more secure. Just click to pay for something in an online store, where the page will generate links with the price of article and comment to hold info about article and logged in user. Clean and simple Yes, it does this on windows and "some" linux. Mac I know what needs to be done but I don't know how to do from .net app/mono, need to look into. But on Windows 8 it is working great for me I suppose workaround on Mac is to use drag-and-drop. Problem solve

Moonmoon, when will you be releasing the wallet?
Or a beta? Will you be able to use a different coin daemon with the same wallet?
I think this would be something to look into if not. Then the source code doesn't necessarily have to be open immediately.
unless you wanted it to be...
Well code should be ready tomorrow night but there is release packaging/docs etc. to do to do it right. I am also think of add some ease of use things that might need another day. I have not really built with forethought to support other daemon, but I suppose would be possible with some modification. Would probably be good idea to avoid clone wallet for some time but this can be managed

Got drag and drop working for particle:// uri's. Send pulls address, amount, and label/comment, expect at least address. Is smart enough to know if you already have a recipient and will add another one not overwrite. Apps can listen for a message on the bus with everything already parsed and handle a uri for an appslot if they can. Not sure what other commands besides send people might want link to in core wallet. I'm sure people will come up with idea. It works nice. For instance this: particle://prt/send/Pjh1SXpcgaQ7bbbweXU1ioQUWcNtW4yZZx/1337.1337/Show%20Yasuki%20Love Will open send app and put in 1337.1337 PRT with a comment "Show Yasuki Love".

Btw i really want to collaborate in this PRT, i would to talk with a DEV for this, its possible? Just post on forum.bitparticle.com. I am head down coding this weekend to push on new wallet. Would prefer to keep all collaboration out in open on the forum, so everybody can participate. And then maybe we can organize polls to get community to vote on different design things. I have overwhelm with PM's and contact form submissions from website. So many people who want to promote PRT or who want to work on different things. Just post on forum, so we can all work together, and I can catch up as I have time. I put recent posts box on forum for this reason, so I can glimpse it

Only 47BTC to .0001. So, pretty thin.
|
|

CoinedUp is relatively low volume exchange so big price swings/volatility on thin volume. I laugh, when I saw small sell order for low price, someone obviously trying to push down to snatch cheap Particle Larger more visible exchange more stable price, but also other side is maybe temporary short term price suppression on big exchange people might dump into initial hype over exchange placement. Also, we just had small news cycle and quiet now while develop more things. As we roll out more things, new wallet and a few other things in works, brings more news cycle/PR etc. Enjoy price now while it last

Maybe we should start a new topic? - something like change log of new wallet with picture of what you do ,what adding in wallet and what you will adding . This may attract more interest to PRT from those who do not know about a new wallet ,because new wallet is important feature of PRT. But many people don't know about new wallet.... This is a good idea. I will put one together this weekend. Right now we are flying under the radar ;-)
