201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Sell me your SHIT COINS on: July 18, 2018, 04:48:21 AM
so why to waste time with shitcoins that probably pump and dumps, if you really want to support the market there are excellently established altcoins that can generate good profits, in addition to finding a project that really interests you and help them grow
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: July 15, 2018, 11:26:58 PM
Bittrex, with their extreme security, has not been hacked yet I believe. Yet. But their extreme security is almost as bad as a hack when people get locked out of their own accounts. Spending and coin security are major problems yet to be solved imo.

I believe QSP are trying to solve coin security, their product and white paper looks promising if they can deliver on it
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: July 14, 2018, 02:57:30 AM
Of course, it is quite important that we are very wary of ICOs, as there are almost daily new projects of which I believe 80% are scams (and I am being generous), so our participation and reputation must be taken care of, so as not to be involved in such projects and thus try to prevent them from scamming more investors.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest scam you met on: July 13, 2018, 02:35:20 AM
I think bitconnect has been the biggest and funniest I've ever met, thank god I didn't know much about cryptos when they were offering the 1% daily return because surely in my hazing I would have fallen like a fool, but to see the videos that followed, the mocking and the parodies was epic, especially the h3h3 one, sad for the people who lost all their money there and the bad publicity they gave, but nothing can be done now, I hope the lesson has been learned.... wazzap wazzap wazzapppp !!!!

205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy altcoin on: July 13, 2018, 02:30:46 AM
What you're basically asking is how to do multiple consecutive flips. Which can be either insanely profitable or vaporize your investment in no time. In the end comes down to either insider information or just luck. This is not something that can be done on pure market projections alone.
206  Other / Archival / Re: How to earn altcoin every days? on: July 12, 2018, 04:11:22 AM
faucets!! now in a more serious response, you could be involved in several projects, such as airdrops, signature campaigns or doing several social media campaigns because they do not require much exclusivity, airdrops are good because they are quite simple and do not require more than filling out a form and waiting a certain time with some activity in their discord/telegram
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't cryptocurrencies successful as a medium of payment on: July 12, 2018, 03:18:50 AM
if you had a good bank account your money would be more in the future too. the thing is: you cannot save all money but you 'll need to spend some. of course, it would be financially beneficial to spend as few as possible.

The same applies to crypto, just that it is performing better than your bank account. as crypto is quite new, not yet really spendable and still risky, most people would not have all their money in a crypto account. but as the time goes by volatility will decrease and usability will increase. once is known how much bread you get for one token, the value will adapt to the economy only.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Campaign are wastage of time? on: July 11, 2018, 03:30:06 AM
Usually when an ICO lasts more than 1 month to distribute the tokens, you can forget about that, also as the project progresses they have to had several distribution exchanges ready, and you can get an idea of the price, it's a waste of time if the ICO does not collect enough money or simply is a scam, so you have to document yourself very well before choosing the right one
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best exchange with less risk. on: July 11, 2018, 02:42:49 AM
I use Binance and Kucoin mostly, and I use Cryptopia for new and harder to find stuff. Also, I just invested in COSS. I think it's gonna be big once the new UI and engine launch. You are entitled to a fee split as well which is guaranteed by a smart contract, so that is a big plus in my book.
210  Other / Archival / Re: So many Bounties-Which one is trusted? on: July 10, 2018, 04:25:15 AM
don't rely too much on the ratings either because it has been shown that they can be altered, you can take them as a good reference, but also make sure you have a good bounty manager, who is aware of the thread and updates the spreadsheet when necessary, it is also good to review the project in depth (whitepaper, roadmap, necessary investment to complete the project, and if the team has experience in what they need to achieve).
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So Much Scam Bounty on: July 10, 2018, 04:15:06 AM
because it's easy enough to look like a legitimate ICO, with a good web design is enough to attract several investors, so you always have to see the project in depth (whitepaper, roadmap, team behind) and if they have a good bounty manager behind, these are some tips to minimize the risk with ICOs, but there will always be a risk
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: July 10, 2018, 03:24:10 AM
In several forums and groups it has been shown that these ratings are manipulable with some ETH, so it is not good to follow them blindly, always check the team behind the project, the whitepaper, which offers the ICO and if possible get it, it is also important to see if they really need a token to achieve their goal.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think other coins can come to close bitcoin value in the next year!! on: July 06, 2018, 03:14:55 AM
Because of the amount of use it can have and the growing need for it, I think ETH will keep pace with bitcoin as it has done so far, but if they find any way to verify or regulate so much ICO scam out there, I see the price of ETH going up like foam.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming ICOs on: July 06, 2018, 02:46:32 AM
Some interesting projects here. A lot of projects I'm going to take a closer look at during the upcoming weekend.

I wanted to mention XiWATT as a project worth following. I stumbled upon them a while ago in the Weekly ICO discussion thread. I guess a lot of people here heard of Power Ledger and/or Electrify. Asia as "energy projects". Now XiWATT has a different goal it wants to achieve so there is enough room for several projects in the "energy space" to coexist and to cooperate.

As far as I understand their vision - the CEO of the company is a helpful and patient guy who answered my questions on Telegram - they are developing a framework for communities and investors alike to benefit from renewable energy projects by helping communities set up projects and providing them a better position to negotiate with contractors. Furthermore, as an investor XiWATT provides access to projects (of different scales) all around the world (should it take off in the U.S.).
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin has no demand! on: July 06, 2018, 02:25:07 AM
It has value because the people who use the currency says it does. Why is USD worth anything, it's nothing more than a piece of cloth. It is not backed by anything store of value like gold. It has not been backed for a while. In the production of any crypto coin, there is the value it takes to mine that coin. It takes electricity to mine coins, so there is a basis of value in that. There were times when it cost more to mine what a bitcoin was worth on the market. I'm not an expert and someone can please correct me if anything wrong, for my better understanding, but that's how I see it.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin on: July 06, 2018, 01:46:45 AM
DOGE maybe started up as a joke currency but in reality its one of those few that are pretty easy to use IRL. Also being cheap helps a ton.

The irony is that with development, this "joke" currency could be not only perfectly viable but also perfectly usable for wide-scale adoption. That doge icon only helps with it. I mean, it's cute.. rite?
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad idea!!!! on: July 05, 2018, 02:42:48 AM
With stocks, you own shares of a publicly traded company. That means four times a year they have to release info on what they're working on what they're spending money on how much they're making how much they expect to make. So you have a fairly clear picture of what the business does and where it could be headed.

Crypto, on the other hand, is more based on what someone else is willing to pay you for it. If people want to buy it to buy something else, the demand goes up.

You cant really see what the cash flow is or any of the other info you can see with publicly traded companies to get a gauge on potential future value based off earnings growth.

based on these analyses you can come to a conclusion
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency prices falling on: July 05, 2018, 02:03:58 AM
its similar to the stock market.once the prices go up so much ,they get over priced, and then they fall ,whatever happens in the future once they go up so far ,they come down.and you got to keep your nerve and coins, and if you got spare cash, you buy more ,when the price is at its lowest,if you cant hold your nerve , move it to your cash account on your exchange, and bring them back out on the climb.i hope this has helped.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: July 04, 2018, 02:59:37 AM
When people say crypto is safe they're actually talking about the infrastructure. The system as a whole is hard to control.

Storing crypto is still extremely dangerous. I see it as the wild west. People are storing their gold (crypto) wherever they can. Some in banks (website wallet) some under their pillows (software wallet) and others in a personal safe they paid extra for (hardware wallet). No matter what though there's always crooks and gangs who rob people and banks.

The safest way is to just bury your gold and hope you remember where you buried it (paper wallets).
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: July 04, 2018, 02:29:09 AM
They always say that the best amount to start with is the one you're willing to lose, also keep in mind the saying "no risk, no reward", but to start with you can start low and feel the market, as we are down you can get good prices, so take advantage and diversify your portfolio
