I've been in contact with some guy from cryptonerd, he'd like to write an article about Tips, but he's got some questions: I'll lay them out here, so that people with more knowledge than me can answer them He asked: 1 - Regarding Fedoracoin old project, was is discontinued? Do you have some links where I can learn more about old Fedoracoin? Or TIPS IS Fedoracoin? 2 - How come the revamping and new branding? What is TIPS mission? 3 - Does it have PoS? 4 - If TIPS is intended to be used worldwide, what are the steps the Fedoracoin team is taking to affect not only internet operations but real-life ones as well? 5 - Do you have images to send? 6 - What will be the next developments? Are there other services coming? If so, when? Could someone from the devs answer these questions? Ok, some are obvious, but I don't want to reply some untrue stuff. Thanks!

What do you think about this? For the first page! Edit: By the way, I'm offering a 5 million TiPS bounty to whoever can design the best thread starter OP (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391192) since IMO we need to make it look a bit more professional. Just post it up as a regular reply here. Bounty ends when I get back (monday/tuesday), whoever gets the most votes from people here wins! PS: I put my logo for test thats all! I think that's really great. Thanks again for your hard work Fayens ! I agree, it's awesome. You've got some talent Fayens!

Who created that logo? Very nice work man !!!! Looks very good and not like some other "bullshit" coin logos out there. Does anyone know why the TIPS are falling so hard right now? I saw that the 1200 LTC buywall on cryptsy disapeared about 2-3 days ago. But who is dumping it so hard right now? Down from 42/43 to 31-33 latoshi in one night This buy wall dissapear simply because someone dumped 2.5 B on it, the price went from 44 to 41. Same happened 1 hour ago but there was no buy support so the the fall was hard. I predict it will happen again soon and the fall will be bigger unless we have some buy support of at least 1k LTC but even with a good buy support how many times we will see those big dumps ?! But really i start to loose faith right now, i am selling a part of my holdings. EDIT: From 33 to 01 there is only 600 LTC buy orders, from 40 to 50 there is more than 2000 LTC sells orders !!!!
Where do you think we are going ?In the short term we might dip a little further due to miner dumps, but I think that this will stop soon. When is block reward halving again? I think many alts out there experience or experienced the very same pattern. Everytime I sold, I regretted it later on. Believe me, just see this as a buying opportunity to buy more coins. As long as the tips community is strong and dedicated, you have nothing to worry about. Also, every alt is coupled to bitcoin. Bitcoin down, almost all alts down. As soon as bitcoin will sort out the problems it has, it should go up and all alts with it, and so will tips. And because tips has a low market cap compared to overhyped coins like vertcoin, mooncoin and co., tips has much more room upwards than these coins. I tell you something, if the price plummets even more, I'll sell half of my other coins just to buy more tips. I'm serious. Actually, you should be happy that you get this opportunity. And buy and sell walls, man, in crypto this means next to nothing. These are all moving walls. Also, often fake walls to discourage buying, or to pump a coin. When people see the coin rises, half of those sells could magically vanish and reappear higher. Crypto is full of deceit and treachery. Only the strong hands will smile in the end. So again: buy as much as you can At least that's what I'll do and I think that I'll have a big big smile on my face 6 months from now. Cheers!

this is the best coin logo ive ever seen see i told you removing that glare buble would make it sexy I agree, one of the most Proficiant Coin Logo's I've laid eyes on ! May be make a hat monochrome? Like a underneath label "TiPS" color. And flip hat down? I would flip the hat too Who created that logo? Very nice work man !!!! Looks very good and not like some other "bullshit" coin logos out there. Does anyone know why the TIPS are falling so hard right now? I saw that the 1200 LTC buywall on cryptsy disapeared about 2-3 days ago. But who is dumping it so hard right now? Down from 42/43 to 31-33 latoshi in one night Good qurestion, I asked myself the same. Maybe some miners wanting quick profit. But selling at these prices is insane. Nevertheless, the same happened to other coins as well. If you remember, Dogecoin was dumped severly after it hit cryptsy. There were people dumping it even at 20 Satoshi !!! When all the smart people were buying all they could at these prices. The same here. The dumpers want quick profit and will cry later when, same as happened with doge, price will be up tenfold from here, yes TENFOLD !!!! Only a matter of time.
|
|
|
Wow, what is happening?? tips is diving??!! 27satoshi??
time to buy?! Yes, definitely a good buying opportunity. Remember, the same happened to Doge. Once it hit cryptsy, it steadily went down from 200 Litoshi to about 20, where it remained for several weeks. Everyone thought that was it for Doge, and then BAAAAMMMM!!! Probably the same will happen here. It will go up, there's no doubt about it! To at least a few 100 Litoshi medium term, over 1000 longterm probably.

Here's a rough draft for the news site. What do you guys think?
TiPS (aka Fedoracoin) From meme coin to dream coin
Whether you’re lover or hater of fedoras, this is definitely a coin worth paying attention to. Over the recent weeks it has progressed from a mediocre 4chan joke coin to one of the most exciting cryptocurrencies we’ve come across. It has all the hallmarks of a coin that’s about to take off, and here’s why:
-TiPS just launched a world-first for ANY coin, an anonymizing/mixing option, from the wallet
Rather than just be a copycat cut and paste job, the TiPS developers are really trying to innovate. The in-wallet mixing feature has been quested after by several other coins in the past, but no one has been able to deliver. Stablecoin and Zerocoin simply weren’t able to achieve the results they promised. What Invisibel (creator) has done with TiPS is to fully implement a feature into this coin that has been elusive and desired by the community for some time. Impressive.
-A professional, fully functional payment processor is nearing completion
The guys over at “w/ fedoracoin” have been releasing some sleek screenshots of their payment processor and it’s looking very pretty. They recently released a demo of their web-app which can easily be integrated by any site to receive TiPS as payment. This gets TiPS past one of the biggest hurdles for the mass adoption of any coin, which is a way to spend and use it. With over 100 developers already signed up to use the processor, you’ll be seeing a “Pay w/ Fedoracoin” around the web in no time.
-There’s a huge amount of energy and excitement around marketing and rebranding to TiPS.
It’s no secret that fedoras are off-putting to more than few, and this fact is not lost on the community behind this creative coin. While the mere mention/sight of that certain hat may cause many to skim over the coin, it doesn’t change what this coin is all about. Tipping. The hopes and dreams behind this coin are for it to be given freely all over the internet (and hopefully one day in coffeeshops/restaurants) in appreciation of content. It promotes a spirit of generosity. Anytime you come across a post, or image, or status, or video, or artwork, or comment that strikes your fancy, it is the hope of this community that you’ll send a TiP to the poster. Thus, the new brand of the coin, the name they want everyone to remember, is TiPS. There’s even been ideas tossed such as getting TiPS working everywhere, from Imgur to Youtube. So, hopefully one day soon you’ll be to watch someone’s video, then send a few coins their way with just a click if you like.
-Speaking of the community it is one of the most enthusiastic and loyal ones out there
Any successful coin is obviously going need some talented and dedicated people supporting it to ensure its growth. The TiPS community seems to be unwavering in their passion for the coin and relentless in their pursuits of furthering its success. There’s a level of fervor behind it not really seen outside the Doge community, until now. Early on, the creator of the coin was threatened personally and therefore took his leave from the project. Rather than let their baby die, the community stepped in with ideas and development of all kinds to not only keep the coin alive, but resurrect it to new heights like a Phoenix from the ashes. The involvement of the community so inspired the creator that he is now back with a vengeance, threats be damned.
In addition to all of the above, TiPS has all the classic requirements of any successful coin: Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty adjustment, fair launch, no pre-mine, a hard cap on the amount of coins (unlike a few other alts), and currently it is the 2nd most profitable coin of all to mine. So, if you’re looking for the next big thing, but lost in the deluge of altcoins, you’d be hard pressed to find a legitimate, non-Pump-n-Dump coin with more promise than TiPS.
So, who sends the article to Cryptocoinsnews.com? Possiblye the one who organized the collection of the 0.3 BTC for the article? Probably we should hurry!

Nice ! I did one too but yours looks better. Anyway : First of all we have recently agreed that the name is now TiPS (a.k.a. Fedoracoin) which allow us to focus more on the Tipping aspect of TiPS. There will be a large amount of coin in circulation (500 billion), 150 Billion at the moment and there is only 3 blocks premined. We have successfully implemented kimoto gravity well diff algo and right now it is the 2nd most profitable coin to mine. Fedoracoin is the first Coin to create a “mixing service” which is an innovative feature that allows people to send coins via a trusted third party, it makes untraceable the source of the coin. Our community is growing fast, focusing on marketing , advertising and new innovations. We are proud to have people working into marketing/advertising/designing… in their real jobs and some students into international business. You can see the huge activity at Reddit, Bitcointalk and in our irc chanel. https://pay.withfedoraco.in/ is a payment processor which make you able to accept Fedoracoin on your website, already more than 100 developers have signed up. For the future we plan to focus on the payment processor and mass adoption, every kind of TiPS in real life (in a restaurant for example). Both did a good job emphasizing the selling points of the coin. Lets make sure people understand the coin has a wider reach than simply online and real world tipping. Great to see invisbel back! That's a great draft for the article So, we got the draft, we got the 0.3 BTC, who sends it to cryptocoinsnews?

What troubles me about this coin is when you look at history on cryptys its sell orders every day. sell/sell/sell/sell/sell/buy/sell/sell/sell
But look at coins like moon coin and it is sell/buy/sell/buy/sell
And i dont care what people say price does matter and the more price action the more people will look at tips
right now we are at a slow death..
Yes it's sell sell sell because the Kimoto Gravity Well implementation reset the diff to 0. So now we have low slowly-adjusting difficulty. Multipools are simply mining and selling. All we have to do is get enough people mining and buying, and we can easily jump the strip mining hurdle. This reminds me of the Dogecoin breakaway at 50 satoshi. Get in now while it's cheap. We've already seen an 8.9% growth in subscribers because of vir66's giveaway. We just got to get the snowball going. TiPS has more tech than Moon, but Moon is priced more than 10x higher. The value is there... the price isn't. Get on board! +10000000000000

So CryptoAve opened? Is it in closed Beta right now? I can't wait for it to be opened to the public !!!!
Digitalcoin is one of the great coins out there, and so unbelievably undervalued right now, it's not even funny any more how undervalued it is. I bought into DGC long ago, and I will continue to hold these coins for a very very long time. Because I think that this coin is headed upwards, and massively upwards!

It seems that the activity on this thread has greatly decreased. What has happened, where is the worldcoin community? Did I miss something, is there a new thread somewhere?
There used to be days when 5 new pages were written every day, now I frequent this forum once or twice per week, and the pages hardly get more, the posting almost ceased.
Come on, I still believe in Worldcoin, it always had a good and dedicated community. Is it because of the Scharmbeck stuff? Really? I mean, Worldcoin is much more than only Scharmbeck. This coin cannot go on like this people, we need to restore the glory and power that Worldcoin once was, and shall be once again !

yeah don't publish the code, hazard is a fucking douchebag who will steal your work. FYI Hazard is actually the creator of stablecoin he just hides behind his sock puppet account
I agree to not publish the source code. But please give them detail explanation of how it works. If there is a technical writers out there it would be helpful. Mixing feature cannot be use for trading because there is no proof that you have send it. So what is the main purpose of mixing coin? Laundering money i guess By sending TIPS through Mixing does not violate any laws of any country so it cannot be called laundering. If there is no law to kill other people then it is not Murder. Edit: Mixing did not work? http://chain.fedoraco.in/block/7ba7d05c4443e372ded87fb6fa5e566e020b203129aa03bc8d266f5d34c1220bI can see my address sending to ETiPMiXRLDvEifQgFLjG4Dp44epvP2ja96 There is nothing of mixing feature implemented yet, just info command and a checkbox which does nothing https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471660.msg5215753#msg5215753 I suppose invisibel should to give a good explanation for why he said mixing is working when it is not. It is fully deceptive by invisibel part. Nice trolling. As far as I know the feature is implemented, the code is just not released.

I have to say it again, this logo is for me the best one out of all the contributions we got so far. So can we use this now for promotion or do we have to use the other one, I mean the one on the left here: I probably should not use the logo yet as it is work in progress, but I can't contain myself, so bear with me. I would like to proudly present to you my newest wallpaper creation! Or just a source of a healthy smile Enjoy!

Has anyone agreed to write the article yet? We need to continue marketing efforts like this to promote the coin.
somebody volunteered to write the article today I think and has a list of the important features to write about. I don't know what happened since. Probably working on it but maybe can drop us a line again to know how it's going! Yes, matsmyth seemed quite interested in writing the article, maybe he's working on it right now.

I must say that fedora anonymizer looks good... but fedora was so pumped recently many people must have lost fortunes
Which coin wasn't pumped recently? Vertcoin, Mooncoin, Dogecoin, all coins pumped to an overwhelming extent. I'd also go for Tips a.k.a Fedoracoin. It has some really cool features, which made me buy a lot of these coins, as I see a bright future for Tips: -Coin mixing feature for anonymous coin transfers -large number of coins, fair launch, no premine -kimoto gravity well difficulty algorithm -2nd most profitable coin to mine -Fast growing community Plus, it's dirt cheap right now.

how is it more comfortable to sit in those tiny chairs than on the ground All I see are security threats. How come there are no Japanese people protesting? Afterall it is Japan Yes, that's true. And most of all, where are all the japanese manga girls with short skirts??? Come on, they have to be somewhere!!!

What are the all the main points we want to hit with the article? And how long?
I'd like to give it a shot.
Do you think it's interesting to include the fact that invisibel left for his own safety, but the community so loved the coin that we took over and kept it alive?
Hi, that's great! The main points to cover would be: -Coin mixing as it is our unique feature as of now -rebranding of the name to tips (a.k.a. Fedoracoin), show our new logo -the tipping aspect of tips -large number of coins, fair launch, no premine -kimoto gravity well diff algo -2nd most profitable coin to mine -Growing community -payment processor and future plans for mass adoption, for example tipping in restaurants Maybe 1-3 pages long, I don't really know. I'd say most of the articles on cryptocoinsnews are about 2 pages long. About that thing with Invisibel, I honestly don't know but maybe some other people who have been around back then, know better.

Nice, that was fast So, where are the Hemingways and Shakespeares amongst you, steph forth, don't be shy

Alright, we decided to collect 0.3 BTC to get an article on cryptocoinsnews. For your information 0.3 BTC is around 30 Millions TIPS at the moment. We need to send a rough draft to cryptocoinsnews and they will write it, here are some points we think it's important to be in the article, feel free to add anything : - Coin mixing as it is our unique feature as of now - the tipping aspect of tips - large number of coins, fair launch, no premine - kimoto gravity well diff algo - Maybe we should also say it's the 2nd most profitable coin to mine - Growing community - We need to mention withfedoraco.in and what they are doing for the community with their great service ! Also it would be great if someone with a perfect english could send the email (it's more serious) Here is the donation page : http://fedora-foundation.net/advertisment.htmlThanks everyone. We've got 2/3 of the required amount already. Nice!! This community rocks! So, as I suppose that the last third of the 0.3 btc will be completed fairly quickly, we could already try to find someone willing (and skilled enough) to prepare a rough draft for the article? It should cointain the above mentioned points.
|
|
|
Our path is bright ahead, and all is clear.
We are TIPS (aka FedoraCoin) and any other detail is irrelevant now.
I don't want to see any more discussion over it, until of course, developer(s) him/them selves decide after copious amounts of community talk about changing anything.
We have compromise, and a great one! LETS F***IG USE IT FINALLY!
Spread the word people, write, tweet, send TIPS to other people, make jokes, memes and all that stuff!
THE TIME IS NOW ! Let's make history of coins today!
That's the spirit !!! Tips FTW !!!
|
|
|
so for the 0.3BTC for the cryptocoinnews, we should send BTC to the address here? http://fedora-foundation.net/advertisment.html or can we also send TiPS to the advertisement wallet on the same site? ps. so why TiPS is written with a lower case 'i'? and what was the idea behind the name FedoraCoin? (I'm not sure what's the meme going on behind it, or is it related to the linux OS?) I've sent it to http://fedora-foundation.net/advertisment.htmlI think that's the best solution
