201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You selling to buy Xmas gifts or using bitcoins to buy Xmas gifts? on: December 19, 2019, 06:58:44 AM
I was shocked when i saw the price of bitcoin plunging way deep into the $6Ks but i don't think this price reduction is as a result people using their bitcoins. That is merely a small amount of bitcoins, i think this is the work of some whales who have come together to shake weak hands of their bitcoins in order to buy them cheap.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOTHING IS ABOVE BITCOIN on: December 19, 2019, 05:44:41 AM
Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies based on their designs are revolution to the financial industry which is about bringing financial industry to the people. It would also help achieve transparency in government transactions if inculcated into their payment systems and also reduce the level of corruption among government officials.
203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Exchange on: December 19, 2019, 05:38:20 AM
Most exchanges actually try their possible best to provide the best of security systems to their users but hackers always find a way to abscond with some of its funds. However, i have been trading on exchanges like Bitrue, Binance, Kucoin and i think they are pretty secured to conduct your transactions there BUT never store your funds on any exchange mate, it's so not safe.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is very bad for the European crypto community! on: December 18, 2019, 08:58:37 PM
That's right, this does not really sound good for crypto projects and exchanges based in European countries but i think any serious industry can relocate to places where crypto activities are tolerated. For instance i know some projects which moved from China to other countries when China made a whole number of restrictions regarding cryptocurrencies and its activities.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy BTC or Gold? on: December 18, 2019, 03:02:56 PM
I don't know much about stocks but this is the perfect time to buy into bitcoin and hold it for the nearest future. Bitcoin halving is just a stone throw away where we are likely going to see another crypto run. Trust me you don't want to miss this run because it comes with a whole lot of profits upon your investments hence invest wisely.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will hit 5500 ? on: December 18, 2019, 02:56:55 PM
So just because some few folks decided to dump bitcoin everybody is now giving us new bottom records of bitcoin. Anyway, this is not the bottom of bitcoin and no matter how we may suffer the volatility of bitcoin i doubt it would ever sink that low. This currenct price is surely one of the perfect buy zone of bitcoin, don't miss out.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs stock markets on: December 18, 2019, 02:43:14 PM
It doesn't matter which makes more profit but i think the question should have been which is a suitable way in making profit. Because ever since i join the financial investment industry stocks have never been a sure bet for me. I always lose and so many friends of mine also did same, but with crypto is more like a win win for everyone unless you decide to go in for margin trading or sell cheap. I like to invest into cryptocurrencies other than stocks.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP BUYING BITCOIN NOW!!! This coin is crap on: December 17, 2019, 02:33:26 PM
Bitcoin is a total worthless coin that is controlled by chinese miners that hate you.

Bitcoin cant do anything that ethereum can do much better.

Bitcoin is worthless and only paid shills like tone vays or antonopulus are promoting this crap coin so you can lose your money on it.

Proove me wrong before delete my thread- and what happened to free speech bitcointalk moderators?  are you paid to be chinese?

Bitcoin isnt a coin anymore for the people but it became a chinese company

stop bitcoin now
And you think you are better of than this shit you claim. At least this shit coin has given people financial privacy, some have made some good returns when they invested into it. No offence mate but before ranting out at us make sure you have some facts to say not just words because all that you said up there don't count.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy new token or coin? on: December 16, 2019, 09:01:11 PM
I would buy a coin because it has some good trading volume that i know that if i invest into it at a point of a dump i am likely to gain profits from it when it rises. At some point in time, maybe you might want to use that as a form of payment for your employee if sending in bitcoins would take quite a long time.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before I Invest With Cryptoqurrency? on: December 16, 2019, 08:53:59 PM
1. Check the overall contents of the project such as a team, road map, white paper, etc.
2. Check various features offered by the project such as privacy coins or decentralized coins.
3. Check how valuable the coins are or compare with other more popular coins. if the coins have potential, of course have a multi-professional team & the volume of coins always increases.
4. To be honest, the best coins to invest are the top coins or have been listed in the top 10 at CMC.
5. I suggest you invest in established coins rather than looking for very young and newly planted coins to invest.
I say this because I personally don't have a high risk appetite, so it's better to invest safely ..
how about you guys?
Well this is a very resourceful points to take note before investing into any cryptocurrency project that you come across in this industry. But i must say that you left out some salient points as well. For instance you need to look at some developed products or working systems that the team has developed from their project. These bring very high liquidity to cryptocurrencies.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: December 16, 2019, 05:29:59 PM
Masternode coins are not doing well at the moment so coins like Zcash, Dash are not the best of choices. Litecoin is a dead coin walking when its own founder left the project and sold all his holdings. This leave me with Ethereum and BNB coin which i think they are good coins to invest into but you will need to go in a for a very long hold to make some decent profits.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 16, 2019, 04:37:23 PM
oh please Sad, enough from these nay sayers. Who does he think he is, some sort of god to bring the price of Ethereum all the way down in a flash lol. Nobody has forced him to invest into cryptocurrrencies so why waste so much energy trying to keep it down. Don't listen to these guys people, they are all fake news trying to create FUD to make people sell cheap.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning for newbies on: December 16, 2019, 04:02:54 PM
Newbies needs to be prepared for this coming new year, scammers will try to take advantage of that year because bitcoin halving is already dropping the HYPE in crypto space  already, Learn to do research better, not all bad results in crypto are because a project failed, mostly are because of lack of research, with no good research you can easily fall for scam projects.

1) Do better research on new projects before promoting them or investing a penny on them

2) Visit scam accusation thread on the forum time to time, it will safe you a lot too

3) If you you have to invest always invest what you can afford to lose.

You hit the nail right on the head @OP. These are the fundamental rules in the investment into cryptocurrencies, ICOs, IEOs etc because without this you are likely to fall into one hell of a big scam. One thing that is worthy of being mentioned is that, never be greedy or else you will lose everything that you have invested.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold backed coins are real?? on: December 15, 2019, 04:04:20 PM
There are a few ones like DGX which i know are backed by pure 99.99% gold that are safely stored in secured vaults. However there are numerous of them out there that are scam and have not even been successful. Take a look at VEIAG etc. If you are looking for a real gold backed coin then i would advise you go for DGX.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit hackers using EOS tokens for money laundering? on: December 15, 2019, 03:58:55 PM
I also feel very sorry for all the victims of this hack as i know so many people have lost their hard earned funds in this situation. Sometimes i tend to wonder how these hacks are able to pull out successfully like they were part of the exchange team members. I think these hackers have some inside guys that they work with especially the developers of the exchange as these are the guys who built the whole exchange. These guys would only do this if they are not being paid well.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Bakkt has been appointed as new US senator on: December 15, 2019, 01:28:26 PM
This is certainly one of the good news that i have heard today lol. I hope his penetration into the US Senate department would have a good impart on  the adoption of cryptocurrencies. however, let's not forget that these government officials can also win him unto their site further compounding and restricting the use of cryptocurrencies.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: December 15, 2019, 06:04:50 AM
Sure, the world can choose to run on only cryptocurrencies but the question is which one is going to be the globally accepted one? My bet is on Tron or Ethereum and not bitcoin as it is very slow. If the entire world should jump into using bitcoin to make transactions the bitcoin meme pool will be clogged and this would cause an increase in transaction fee.
Governments can make rules and laws but when the people want it they would think twice, we surely need to educate people about cryptocurrencies as you say in order to make them see its good uses.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese football players wear bitcoin wallet QR code T-shirt, popular social net on: December 15, 2019, 05:57:53 AM
This is awesome! such a campaign for bitcoin will definitely add volumes to the exposure of bitcoin that we all seek. One thing that i have not seen much being done to promote bitcoin is one the part of our celebrities. Just imagine, these hiphop stars like Jay-Z, Rick Ross all putting on some t-shirts saying bitcoin is good, damn! this is going to be crazy. I bet it can even increase the price of bitcoin to some extent.
219  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-13 ] Africa Experiences Surge In Use Of Digital Currency on: December 14, 2019, 05:16:16 PM
https://deythere.com/2019/12/13/africa-experiences-surge-in-use-of-digital-currency/

"A Citibank report ranks Kenya among African countries holding the highest amount of cryptos that translate to 2.3 percent of gross domestic product.

As many as seven African countries have cryptocurrencies banned outright while 10 countries are yet to take an official stance on it let alone formulate laws and policies that will enhance its growth.

The cautions by central banks have not deterred crypto traders in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, South Africa, Liberia and Burkina Faso from transacting.

African countries will have to enact solid data protection laws to shield users against cybercrime. For instance, Paxful has more than three million traders with six-figure transactions across Africa. This is the rate of crypto adoption.
"

It is no wonder that the Reserve Banks in Africa are the one cautioning the Crypto currency users and traders, because they are in bed with the

government and also the major Banks. A lot of these local currencies are manipulated by International Banks as we saw with the latest news of 20

international Banks colluding to influence the South African local currency. (ZAR)  Angry

I would not argue much about this publication as there have been a number of African countries announcing their acceptance of cryptocurrencies. Among the cautions that some countries like Ghana are sending out to their people the bank of Ghana i heard is planning to launch a digital form of payment to replace the fiat currency. Is this not a bit ironic, for all you know they might end up developing a cryptocurrency lmao.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: December 14, 2019, 04:58:55 PM
Wow, i think this might have been initiated some crypto enthusiast in Croatia. This is what we all should be doing in our own efforts, that is pushing for the acceptance of cryptocurrencies. I have been on  a project with some colleagues of mine back home and i hope our banks will see a future in our proposal. Actually we are planing to operate as an OTC platform where people can purchase cryptocurrencies but we want to partner with one of the reputable banks in my country
