vested    Angry Sad Sad  need how long time ?? or how i know that coins is vested or not yet

Every day 10% of the unvested xem will vest. So if you really got 100k xem on that account, 1 day will be enough to have 10k xem vested.

i already sent 500K  Undecided Undecided Undecided
and keep other 500K for trading

But I dont know rewards will be how much Sad

me I installed wallet in windows dedicated server online 99.9% with 100 Mbit connection speed

I dont know rewards for these 500K coins ,,,just trying ,, lose too much for withdraw this coins Sad
god please... just forget about your 500k in your wallet for a month or two and then have a look how much you've harvested.
the speed of your connection doesn't matter.

After two months even if harvested too much xem coins this no useful .. because the price after two months will become low ... see xem trent short ... for this reason I asked what is the rewards for harvesting xem ... no one answer my questing clearly ....I want to know harvesting depend on what exactly ... also no one answer my question clearly ... what I want to know if harvesting is good reward then I keep harvesting ... if not then I cancel this and continue trading because I saw who want sell xem is very huge comparing with who want buy. ... that is all

No one answered your question clearly ? We practically took you by the hand. You're clearly not willing to read up on anything or invest even the smallest bit of time to figure things out.
Not to mention all the questions you asked were answered like 10 times in this thread since the price went up because understandably new people need some help. You are a special kind of ignorant though.

You won't get any kind of satisfying reward from harvesting so please go back to trading if you wish.

We are on (Google/Chrome/FF) blacklist again and again. This is very sad, as in this time of "Chinese pump" we should lost some new users/investors (they would have fear of this [even if false positive] situation).

Anyway, can we be 100% sure, that there wasn't any malware or incidental access on that pages, and everything (especially NRS SW) is clear ? Could one of dev do md5sum/sha256sum list of all files there (I mean bob.nem.ninja) and place the result on some another, "independent/non-blacklisted" domain? Check thru PGP sign looks clear & valid, but for sure... thanks.

Yes this is frustrating ... makes no sense unless someone really is falsely reporting the domain.

Any possibility the server is somehow compromised?

gimre is putting passwords on the files now so they can't be scanned. hopefully the warning will go away in a few days.

running java version have too much problem in my server
i always get this problem
NIS: java.net.SocketTimeoutException

very boring from this java
for stand alone version can working good and harvest ?
or lite wallet ??

This java.net.SocketTimeoutException is not a problem. It basicly says that the other side is not reacting in a timely manner. I see those exceptions in the logs of my nodes too.

ERROR 700

NIS: HARVESTING INELIGIBLE

when i try to start delegated harvesting

How many vested XEM do you have in that account ?

i just wait my wallet to be synchronize and send to this wallet 1500 XEM , then i press delegated harvest as XEM tutorial then detected from my XEM 10 Coins then wait one hour and i find START delegated harvest is active ,,,,when i try to press start delegated harvest then always i got error 700   NIS: HARVESTING INELIGIBLE

You need at least 10 000 XEM vested to be eligible to harvest.

the same

i transfered 100K Xem to that wallet
when i try to start harvest i got this
ERROR 700

NIS: HARVESTING INELIGIBLE

You need java to harvest. Your Problem is not with Java it's with your connection and without more details noone will be able to help you.

Hi Guys,

Lots has happened with NEM in the last year and we hope that lots more will happen in the future.

We recently just put together a 10 person team to work on Lightwallet so I am really happy about that.

This reminds me though that we need many more teams and helpers.  Maybe there is some small way you can help this project.

Please take a minute to look at this short volunteer survey and lets give it a try.

http://goo.gl/forms/NJVlcH7oJa

Lemme rephrase that if i may.

Are you constantly unsatisfied with the progress of NEM ?
Do you feel like criticism isn't being heard and/or addressed ?

Here's your chance to change that. Take it or..... Wink

Here's a interview by CEO of Zaif, a little old but good read that explains the japanese market's thoughts on Bitcoin & the blockchain:

It's from 2 weeks ago. You make it sound like it was years Smiley

Why don't people that are having problems with NCC (mostly problems that have  been explained/solved 100 times over by the way...no offense) just use the standalone lightwallet ? That's exactly why they made it. NCC has a shitty UX. The lightwallet literally couldn't be any simpler. You don't even need Java installed.

http://bob.nem.ninja/lightwallet-standalone-1.1b-cdn-nginx1.8.zip

It's a really early version but it works good enough.

My wallet has been working 100% fine since day 1 until the last week when all sorts of crap has happened for no reason.

Yes i should ask on the nem forums but havnt registered yet and im sick of signing up to countless forums for all the coins i hold etc, but NEM is one forum i should register on.

Anyway, i havnt seen anyone else reporting my issue, but i will ask on the nem forums if i will get more help there.

Ive also been concerned about security with the light wallet as mentioned here, so i would rather just use NCC if possible.

Dont know whats so shitty with NCC, its been absolutley great for me (until now! lol)

Im also interested in hosting a node, since im in New Zealand, it would be great to have some nodes running down here Smiley

What is your problem?

I posted my problem on the previous page but basically now i cant get into my wallet, it says at the top of my browser in a red bar that NIS is not running, even when the tray icon menu says it is.

Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, still the same.

Any chance you used a remote NIS before and that one is down now ? There is really no other reason for that to be happening if your local NIS is really running.

You mean delegated harvesting?
I was delegated harvesting on a remote node.
Ive tried booting a local node but it doesnt save the changes.

I don't mean delegated harvesting. I mean having a remote node configured in the settings. When you do that - e.g. when you want to harvest on a remote node but not exclusively then - you also get all the information about the blockchain from that node. If that node is then no longer online/not reachable for whatever reason you get the exact problem you're having right now.

Configure localhost or 127.0.0.1 as node in the settings and you'll be good Wink

OK, im lost here, as i thought that the only reason for using a remote node was for delegated harvesting.
Ive had such nodes go down before and ive never had this issue, ive just always gone and changed the remote server and harvesting would start again, and all this time i was still able to login into NCC.

Anyway, ive changed the remote server to 127.0.0.1 and now it appears to login, but ive never had this trouble before, and nmy blockchain had always been syncing all this time anyway.

Just weird that trying all the servers listed would not let me in, but ill try another server and see if it works now after this Smiley

I dunno, maybe the problem of not being able to log in is a new one.

Delegated harvesting is not the only reason to use a remote node. I never used NCC with a local node. Why wait for the sync to finish everytime? Why let my SSD be torcherd? It's just a smoother experience all around with a remote node.

How will I know that the node is still up and runnin? thanks

Thank you for the reply.
So I have the delegated harvester goin now. does this mean I can shut the computer down now
and it will still harvest for me.?

Question dev team When using delegated harvesting.
would it be havesting still even when my comp is shut down?

There has to be a node somewhere harvesting on that key.  If somebody else running a node is willing to harvest for you (which is pretty easy for some people) then yes, you can turn your computer off.

If you are running an NIS on your home computer, once you have it running and harvesting for your account, it is safe to turn off the NCC and close your browser.

it will, as long as the node that is harvesting with your account is running.

no easy way to do that rly. You can check it from time to time but that's about it.

Off topic. Approximately how long does it take to harvest something? and is there a way to check if you are really harvesting?it has been more than 24hrs after my vested balance was >10k and I haven't harvest anything with 0,82% importance, is that normal?
although it is necessary to have 50-60k to be less time and succeed in the catch block and so conceived in the system of the NEM, although the planned harvesting at 10,000 NEM and the probability that the catch block too, but here we have to say that the importance of the account and receive blocks accounts with a large number of coins ( now probably accounts more 1x mln ), and that here at this stage the probability to catch a block with 10k is equal to 0, but to catch the empty blocks ( blocks without pay ) can be obtained, although, but the chance is 0.80% on catch block is not bad and that probably from 24-48h it will take time for this
Awesome, thanks! Atm my vested balance is 25k and my balance around 160k.

2 more things I noticed

1)http://nodeexplorer.com/ has currently 0 nodes. Not sure why

2)Does NEM's POI favours exchanges such as Poloniex with more importance than an active user or is there something that avoids exchange to control the harvesting? I read the white paper but this still not clear to me.

Cheers

1) been like that for some time. Site is broken appearantly.

2) Nope, nothing that kepps exchanges from harvesting which makes it even more important that people don't keep their XEM on exchanges. You can be active like a mad man you're not going to outweigh THAT kind of balance.

So, are you saying that your XEM balance in an exchange counts as if theirs?

Yes, of course it does. And you should consider it at risk since most exchanges don't even utilize mullti-sig (in fact does anyone know of an exchange that does use it ?) because they don't appear to give a shit about security until it's too late.

I can't decipher everything but I'm pretty sure the .82% is incorrect. Even if the importance score - which is in ‰ btw, not % - would translate 1:1 into likelyhood of harvesting, not all XEM are harvesting.

I created a new wallet in lightwallet. Where can I get the private key if I want to import this wallet into another wallet?

No such function in the lightwallet righ now. Depending on what options you chose when creating the new wallet you may or may not only need the password though.
