201  Economy / Gambling / Re: BestBitcoinSlots.com | Free Games, Casino Reviews, & Slot Community News on: May 06, 2019, 02:11:06 AM
I like this website and its idea! It has a nice design, massive database of slots websites and articles on various topics that might be of interest to gamblers. I've seen different review websites, and this one looks really promising. However, I was sad to find out that the first random slot game I opened was not available, there's even a "file not found" text here: https://www.bestbitcoinslots.com/game-provider/playtech/age-of-gods/. Then I tried out some other slots, and I was actually amazed by the animation some of them had! It's really easier to choose a website when you first see a big variety of options. Good luck with this project!

Hi, kryptqnick! Thank you for raising that issue with the demo game of Age of Gods. I appreciate it much! Now it's all fixed, thanks to you: https://www.bestbitcoinslots.com/game-provider/playtech/age-of-gods/.

Never tried a theme slot before for a real money.
I have seen some before but it was just for fun and it was free to play.
I don't think that casinos would really make some of those theme slot since it wouldn't change anything.
Game would still be the same and not everyone would like it so it could affect their current gamblers.

Haven't seen a themed slot before, maybe it is because gambling operators or owners might have to pay marvel comics to use their creation since they have a copy right. (Not really sure if this is how it works in gambling when they use something as a theme.) Would be fun playing on one to see the interface and animation whenever you hit a jackpot. Grin

You're right. That's how it works, and that's how it worked between Marvel and Playtech, hence the Marvel-themed slots that used to be available before. But since the contract already expired, and Marvel got acquired by Disney, there was no plan anymore on Disney's side to renew the contract.

The site given by the op is where we can choose what gambling site you want to pick and read it's review but after that we shouldn't believe all stated in the gambling site's review rather than searching for more review of the gambling site or in short do your own research to avoid getting problems or getting scam from the gambling site.

Hi, nakamura12. Do know that the website is not just for casino reviews. There are also game review pages where players can try new and old slot games all in one place. The site also publishes valuable content ranging from gaming tips/strategies to industry news and game releases.

I hope you don't miss those important parts.

Widely read today on BestBitcoinSlots.com: 4 Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC

205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: May 03, 2019, 02:14:00 AM
Well you can't blame gambling sites nowadays to add KYC since gambling sites now accepts different crytos and allows you to exchange example BTC to ETH. If its a new site and ask for KYC, I wouldn't try to send anything to them, but if its an old site that has been running or operating for several years already, I would go for KYC.

That's the way to do it. If the casino has already established itself as a trustworthy site, then and only then will I try to transact with it even if there's KYC.

Thanks for all your replies.

I combined most of the responses of those who don't approve of the KYC process in casinos and was able to come up with an article summarizing them all: 4 Reasons Crypto Players Skip KYC Casinos

Also, here's another bitcointalk thread focused on those reasons: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5136360.0;all

209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: April 26, 2019, 10:20:02 AM
(SINCE THE TOPIC HAS BEEN ACTIVE HERE ON BITCOINTALK FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW, I DECIDED TO CREATE AN INFOGRAPHIC ABOUT IT. AND NOW IN THIS UPDATED POST, YOU WILL SEE I ALREADY ATTACHED BELOW THE INFOGRAPHIC FOR EVERYONE'S EASY READING)

“Know your customer,” “know your client,” or simply KYC is a procedure carried out by a business to verify the identity of its potential and existing customers. This is done to avoid putting the business at risk of being used by fraudulent individuals for illegal activities like money-laundering.

Additionally, the procedure is one way of protecting the interest of the customers, usually in case of loss of account or fund forfeiture.
In the online betting industry, all the reputable casinos you know do the KYC in compliance with the gaming-related laws within the jurisdictions they target. They are required to get their players’ personal information like name, age, address, and sometimes banking details. They even ask the players to present copies of their valid IDs just to ensure there will be no fraud.

While some cryptocurrency players find KYC beneficial and well-intentioned, others see it as a menace to online betting. Here's an infographic summarizing why:

210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PokerStars fined $10,000 on: April 26, 2019, 12:55:03 AM

In January, Rush Street Interactive was also fined $30,000 for allowing minors to access its igaming services, becoming the first operator to face a punishment for this offence in New Jersey."

Thanks for sharing this detailed information. What can I say? I am sure such popular sports betting websites have enough money to spend on good lawyers. They should have known bets in college sports are against the law. And while $10k sounds like a lot of money, it's probably close to nothing in comparison with the site's revenue.
It also seems from this story that it's not the biggest fine that was issued in New Jersey, contrary to what the op says.

$10,000 has been the biggest "sports betting"-related fine ever sanctioned by NJ, as in the report I shared: https://www.bitcoinsportsbetting.co.uk/news/porkerstars-fined-10000/. I believe that that $30k fine imposed upon Rush Street Interactive wasn't for sports betting. They were fined that amount because they allowed minor to place bets on the online casino games they have. I don't even think Rush Street offers sports betting services in NJ.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PokerStars fined $10,000 on: April 25, 2019, 09:56:04 AM
Such a non-newsworthy item, looks like this particular news website is just publishing shit articles to bump up their statistics.
I mean they can't even spell Pokerstars right in their title... It says Porkerstars Tongue

I'd be embarrassed if I were the writer of an article like this.

It's been edited already, eternalgloom.

Anything that's illegal is news-worthy, btw, hence that news article.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No chance for the Avengers slot games to return to online casinos on: April 25, 2019, 06:47:12 AM
It seems that Disney is not going to have partnership with any game providers anymore since they are going to have their own casinos, probably they will have their own license and service as game provider as well in the near future.

Is it true Disney's gonna establish its own casino/s? Disney said they didn't renew the contract with Playtech for those Marvel slots because they didn't want their movies/characters to be associated with any gambling brand. It would seem hypocritical if they put up their own casino.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / No chance for the Avengers slot games to return to online casinos on: April 25, 2019, 05:52:50 AM
So the hype of the latest Avengers movie is on. Even online gamblers like I want to get the better of it. But we can't play anymore those Marvel-themed slots that used to be huge hits in online casinos.

Before, there were these slot games offered by betting sites:

Avengers
Iron Man slots
The Incredible Hulk
Blade
X-Men
Thor
Wolverine
Spiderman
Ghost Rider
Fantastic 4
Elektra
Daredevil
Captain America

But they've been gone since 2017 mainly because of Disney's decision. Now I see there's no more chance for these titles to return to casinos.

Any slot recommendations then to Avengers/Marvel fans?

Just checked the site again, and I think it is better to categorize the casinos into two different type (KYC and non-KYC). I see so many casinos requires KYC in order to play, which is not really attractive for bitcoin players.
Also, would you mind to add Stake.com? I believe Stake deserves to be on the list.

This is a very useful suggestion.

I'll forward that KYC filter thing to our developer.

And yes, we've already added Stake.com to our review queue.

Thanks!

Thanks for listening and forwarding the suggestion to your developer. Filter feature will be very useful for your reader as it help reader to get easier access when they are looking for something based on their interest.

Totally agree with bitinity on the kyc issue which many of us does not fine too appealing since we using a decentralized currency such as bitcoin to play games on the site. Online gambling should be free from all this process and should give users the freedom to get access to game without having to go through all this stress of passing kyc requirements.

So our developer already integrated in the backend a "KYC" ticker option which will start to work for the next reviews we'll publish. Hopefully we can retroact this function the soonest to cover all the reviews we now have listed. As for the filter option, planning is still underway as we want to add not just KYC filter but also other categories. But for now, at least the "KYC: yes/no" will start appearing in the next reviews, right on the table presented on every review page along with the other casino info.

Thank you so much for your suggestions.  Wink

Do a $10.000 fine really means anything for a huge betting company like PokerStars. This fine cut turns out to be a good commercial for PokerStars where they reach customers they usually wouldn't reach!

We should not focus at the amount of the fine, but it is more about the mistake made by PokerStars. It is very unprofessional behavior for such a big company like PokerStars, I'm just wondering why they did it.
Most people replies on here do focus only on the amount of $10k.Yes,this isnt really that big and i dont consider as a slap for Pokerstars. This amount is just too small and can be handled on piece a cake.
The thing here is that they do go overboard on law which is really unprofessional for a known gambling company.

I agree. No matter how much they were fined, what's illegal is illegal. You know what PokerStars said when they were asked why it happened? They said it was just a technological mishap. Nothing like that could ever be believed as a mere accident. I think it was all intentional.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / PokerStars fined $10,000 on: April 24, 2019, 09:22:44 AM
On April 22, the largest poker site in the world was slapped with the highest sports betting fine ever sanctioned by New Jersey.

PokerStars, the operator of the sportsbook BetStars NJ, was asked to pay $10,000 — an amount way higher than what used to be the biggest sports betting fine in NJ which was $2,000. The sanction was given after the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement found out that the bookmaker accepted over 200 wagers on sports which the state law prohibits from being included in the events that sportsbooks offer to punters for betting.

Tips? Lol. There's just very limited things to consider when you play slots dude. Just set aside enough money to burn and then quit when it's all gone. For me it's even better to play dice than slots considering your chances of winning lol.

But some are in for the fun. For many, the design is a big thing to consider, especially that modern slots now are meant to be eye-catching and innovative in nature. Even if in dice you can control your chances of winning, dice can't give you the aesthetic appeal that most of the time only slots can provide — like this new game by Red Tiger Gaming called Vicky Ventura:

I mean look at the features and the craftmanship there. It's meant not only to give prizes but also to entertain.

Right, that affiliate program promotes a casino that targets Russian players mostly. If you plan to target non-Russian players, you won't have much luck there.

So I suggest you check out these other affiliate programs that also allow you to promote multiple casinos under one program:
