Hi XC Community!

We are proud to announce that we are implementing XC to our mining platform. The implementation will be done until next week. All of our users who mine scrypt will be able to allocate their rented hashpower to XC. Our multipool will mine the most profitable coins and exchange it automatically to XC.

We will communicate this over all our public PR channels and also to our 10,000+ active mining users.

We hope that you like our decision.

Yours,
Genesis Mining

Short Update:

The affiliate system should work correctly again and all missing hashrate was credited. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks I did notice the change in the hash power but it seems a tedious task to go through all those mails (some unique and more duplicate) and verify the total hash power awarded. I trust GM and hope it was all added up correctly.

Our IT team decided to start with a clean state. Thus, they rebuild all affiliate contracts from the beginning. Unfortunately, this approach caused duplicate emails (thus you received unique and duplicate ones). Sorry for the duplicate emails, but this way we are sure to be at the correct state. In case affiliate contracts are not correctly showing up, please let us know and we will have a look at it.

Thank you for your trust Smiley

Best regards,
  Marco (mk)

Genesis-Mining Could you explain why your customers are fully liable for hardware and software management when purchasing a fractional lifetime mining contract?

From your TOS: "The Customer will be solely liable for the maintenance of the relevant technical equipment (software/hardware) that is required to receive the above service."

What about customers who are not familiar with maintaining websites, miners, mining hardware, fractional mining software or calculators etc.?

This part of the contract means that the customer has to provide all relevant technical equipment to receive the payment. Most importantly he has to have a wallet address for each coin, in order to allow us sending him the coins. For example, we will not send a paper wallet to a physical address. It is the customers obligation to have a wallet.

Our users do not have to maintain mining hardware or any technical equipment / software in our locations (this would not be a reasonable requirement).

Hope this clarifies the above point.

Best regards,
  Marco (mk)

Dear all,

We experience a problem in the affiliate system. Our IT team is looking into it and will credit all missing bonifications for affiliate links as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Your Genesis Mining Team.

Hi Miavator,

I think Mike18feb already covered this a few comments above.

It's really nice to see that you are reading the agreement in detail, but please don't misinterpret them. If you have any more questions, feel free to let us know any time.

Thank you!

Big enough to mention, Daniel. A lot of people expect things now, immediate, pronto, not a second to waste! So, any delay should be mentioned so people don't start worrying for no reason other then success Smiley

--

miaviator, the TOS may not be clear, but whatever liability you have, no one will ask you to keep up the website literally or any such thing. I'm sure you can't even change a single character on their web pages, or enter any datacenter. And if you can, please notify GM asap Cheesy
I think elrugrim is right and the fee covers any liability you may have. If you still worry, I've been with GM for like half a year now, and they've never requested me to reboot the webserver or flip the powerswitch of some miner. The only thing you have to do is buy hashrate, and in the case of SHA hashrate sit back and wait for returns, or in the case of Scrypt hashrate allocate the hashrate to the coin or coins of your choice and then sit back and wait for returns (oh, and enter a wallet where the mined coins must be send to)

There seems to be confusion and uncertainty about the fees.

Currently a fixed fee will be deducted from the mined coins with the Lifetime Contracts. Okay, but as we all know difficulty is not a nice thing, so sooner or later the amount of coins may not be sufficient to pay the fee. According to the contract, in such a case Genesis Mining may deduct a missed fee from later earnings. If that happens once then it's not quite a disaster, but what happens if the fee is structurally higher then the mined coins? Will the fees be lowered? Will the hashrate be set higher? Will GM keep on demanding fee money until the customer is in debt for life? Will the "life time" contract end? Anything else perhaps?

Can Genesis Mining make this subject a bit more clear, please?

Okay, I got a message from someone who couldn't post telling me (thank you!) the Terms have been changed a bit. An addition was made to make sure you don't dry up completely on an endless amount of fees:
"The Service Provider may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect if the Coins generated in the preceding 20 days do not suffice to pay the Fee under 2.b above."
If that makes you want to complain about Lifetime Contracts not being Lifetime, two things: 1, there's only thing in the entire universe that lasts a lifetime, and that's you. 2, Don't underestimate Genesis Mining, they have proven to be able to adapt to changing conditions, and they've proven to listen to their customers, so expect them to listen when things get rough

Thank you Mike for pointing this out! We have added this passage explicitly to the terms to make clear that we will of course not charge the user in case the mined coins do not cover the fees anymore.

Users will mine as they always did and the contract ends in the most natural way - and that is, after there are no payouts coming anymore. Running the contract longer from then on obviously would not make any difference. Please don't get us wrong on this, but we only want the best for our clients and it's good to see that people know this.

Our legal team is working hard, but it is often not that easy to put everything in legally correct terms.

Again yesterdays payment missing...
(last payment 17.9)
Nope, just requires patience. Genesis-Mining does not have fixed payout times, but you will receive a payment for every day. It can take a bit longer. Also, opposite that, don't be surprised if you receive two payments in a relative short period of time.
If you miss the payment contact support, they are cool, but that's probably not what happened  Smiley

Let me try to explain how it works, it was written somewhere, but never mind...

I get my payments every day on time since the day 1. On time means every day from 00-23:59 UTC for the previous day of mining.

Payments might come in short period of time, it actually happened to me as well couple of times, but it was: 22:00 UTC and 01:00 UTC, in my wallet it looked like it was the same day, but actually it was not, it was my timezone settings and LOT QT client.

So Genesis actually, sometimes, do a payout earlier during the day which I like, and sometimes later in the day.

If I go to my transactions I see all info for the single payouts, amount, time of processing and the transaction with online link to trx info.
There you can see everything, all payments are all within next 24 hours after 0 UTC for the previous day of mining.

The other day I was missing the info for the transactions, but my wallet was happy and that is what counts. Later on stats arrived and it was all correct. Wink

When taking a contract it is better to take it earlier in a day, lets say 12:00 UTC, so 1MH will effectively produce 0.5MH till the rest of the day.
After that you will have full power every 24 hours. The same thing apply when reallocating hash power, better do it earlier in a day if you want full rate on that coin
the next day. Too small hashrate on coin can produce small amount that is not payable, but go to the transaction section and its all there.

Cheers and happy mining

Very good!

Couldn't have explained it better! Smiley

hey guys,

At monday i transferred money to GM, enough to buy 3 MH/S scrypt, the guys at the bank said to me that i had to pay 25 euros as a fee (so expensive) but i put those 25 euros as GM fee cause they didn't say otherwise anywhere and i already i have to pay something like 7euros fee to buy those hashes.

Well, anyway i contacted support after the payment to see if there would be any problem and they said that it shouldn't be... Yesterday i got an email saying that they just received part of the amount and that they are waiting for the rest to upgrade for 3 hashes...

I'm kinda angry right now because my money that they have is there standing still, they didn't even gave me the hash power respectively for the money i paid and they take so much time to answer and i am here loosing coins... not very nice indeed

Hey wec,

this is a good example of how inefficient the banking system is. We try our best to minimize the costs everywhere, but we are rather limited doing this when it comes to bank fees. Since we are all engaging in the bitcoin community to offer the world an alternative solution with crypto I will compensate your inconveniences so far. Maybe you want to pay next time in crypto. Wink

P.S.: Please pm me with your order details and send the correct amount next time. Wink Thank you!

Yes. Thank you for mentioning it again Mike18feb. Please understand that there are a lot of users with each mining his individual portfolio of coins. This is not a trivial system and some additional checks are important to keep everything 100% correct.

Thank you!

From the FAQ @ genesis-mining.com:
"As of September 2014, we provide: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Darkcoin, Reddcoin, Blackcoin, Feathercoin, Auroracoin, Lottocoin and Megacoin."

Expect more coins to follow (GMCoin? MegaMikeCoin?)
I also think that Genesis should add more coins on their list and I hope Genesis will add only those coins which have high profitability level.

We are going to announce another high potential coin very soon that you will all like. Smiley

Stay tuned!

Does it start with M and end in N? as someone as already posted that it was coming already.

No, not that one Wink

Me too. Do not be paid today!  Angry

Have you actually checked your Bitcoin wallets?

It is just the interface for me that is not showing the payments yet, but the bitcoin has arrived in my wallet as normal.

If you are not mining BTC but another coin, check that coins wallet as you might find you have been paid, but the web interface does not show it on that yet.

Ian
you are right i look at my wallet now and found my payments in my wallet

Great, having your coins is good! Smiley It is just a problem with their interface at the moment, always check your wallet if that happens again.

We have had display bug in the UI which is fixed now.
This has nothing to do with the payments itself, they have been sent.

In general, as we have received many requests via support regarding this;
- The first payout may take up to 48 hours to arrive
- There is no fixed time of the day for a payout
- Payouts are conducted within 24 hours after a full mining day, timezone CET
- It's more important the coins are in your wallet rather than shown on the UI.

Best regards,
Genesis Mining

Last payment received at 13th....
What is wrong? My id is bMxlDH

Hey Holdaaja,

You should have received your next payout by now. If not, please contact the support directly. This is really important for us and we can guarantee that there is not a single user where we missed one day of payout so far.

Security still has highest priority for us and therefor we keep on doing our double check routine to be safe that everything is working fine and the payouts are correct.

Thank you!
