Seem to be getting a bit high on the stale shares 3318 - 111.

Which is odd, though, because the dashboard only says 17 rejected.

New to the pool today.  Took my computer offline for a few hours to ghetto rig my gfx card with a new old heatsink.  Some snips, zipties and dual 120mm fans later, I got my VDDC down from 100c+ to 75c, core load temps from 90c to 65c.

Going to see if I can overclock it a bit further now.  I did lose a lot of ground but I am sure in the long run the down time will pay off.

EDIT:  Well, managed to get my 5850 from 860core to 930 stable.  I was able to get higher but my VDDC temps were hitting close to 115c.  340Mhash to 370Mhash.  I'll take it  Grin

209  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best Pool At the Moment! Australian Based Check it Out! ozco.in on: June 24, 2011, 05:03:10 PM
hmm the site looks exactly like "http://arsbitcoin.com" is it the same pool owner or is there public pool script?

I believe it's a public one as I've seen quite a few with the same general layout.

This is pretty torturous right about now.

I prefer to think of it as character-building.

If by character-building, you miners climbing to the top of a building and contemplating the jump, then yea   Cheesy

On a serious note though, I had to disable CPU mining.  For some reason it pretty much cuts into the Mhashes coming from my GPU (and I even used the no GPU argument when setting up the Ufasoft miner).

Yea and the difficulty increased during the morning.  This is going to be a rough one.

I'm close to turning my CPU into a miner x.X

EDIT: Ahh eff it.  Efficiency be damned, turned on my 950@4GHz.  An amazing 18.5 Mhash added.

Pretty much sucks for Canadians to get money into these exchanges.  Hoping CaVirtEx gets out of beta soon.

Hard to say.  Someone's experience might not exactly become your experience.  Best thing to do is to contact them and ask what options are available.

219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's up with Canadian Post? on: June 21, 2011, 03:18:02 PM
Workers got locked out because the Govt. wanted to cut pensions and pay in a new contract.  Workers said fuck you.

Incorrect - most workers did not say "fuck you", it was the union (CUPW).  Simply because they are greedy and cannot accomodate a DYING business.  Pension cuts and rate cuts were for new workers ONLY (i.e. someone not hired for full-time yet) and rates would go up over time served.  Sounds, reasonable, no?  Better than say... no job? and instead of getting the exact same pay as people who have been in there for 30 years +.  Union is scared as a result because their Union dues will be a whole lot less.

Unions are draconic and self-serving.  At any rate, hopefully the conservatives do this right and force back to work legislation so people can start working and get some money again; the union sure as hell aren't paying them anything.
220  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: pool.bitp.it SOLVED OUR FIRST BLOCK! - (LP, Score, OnDemand, SSL, 0% fee!) on: June 21, 2011, 07:32:35 AM
Yea.  I dunno, wish there was some sort of inbetween but I guess scoring is ok.  Doubt they could offer that much BTC reward per block without charging a fee.  Maybe 1 or less (not even sure if that's viable) per block, as something to distinguish themselves from other pools further.
