201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC] -POW & 3.33% POS - no IPO| 3 Exchanges | Anonymous Wallet Coming Soon on: May 23, 2014, 01:22:48 PM
---------------     IMPORTANT     ---------------

I spoke with the Dev around 30 mins ago regarding the reduction of PoW coins, and he basically said that the decision to do so would be left with the community, so it is up to us whether he goes ahead or not.

DEV:
Quote
I'm open to anything, but can't think about that now, too much anon work to do - if the community agree's to reduce POW them I will do

MY VOTE:

Reduce PoW Blocks to about 10M coins (Remaining coins still need to 8-15 weeks mining until PoS) After 10 to 33 Just PoS.

The Dev is willing to do so if us, as a community, really wants this, but the decision must be taken before the wallet release.

Hmm maybe this wouldn't be such a bad idea after all, discuss:

look at the price of Dark MRO  and QCN, all Anonymous coin

Dark price: 0.025BTC

MRO price:0.0065BTC

QCN price: 0.0037BTC

so after XC wallet come out, the reasonable XC price will be at least 1XC=0.001BTC

Keep in mind DRK's price in early february did 3 main steps, prior to the first DarkSend wallet (that was launched around mid/late-feb).

0.0000x -> 0.00018 -> 0.0005 -> 0.002, all in less than 2 weeks.

All these numbers are all good but i would like to urge people to have patience,Rome was not built in a day and though the project appears to be well on the way there may still be bumps on the road ahead resulting in delays, let's give the Devs some breathing space and the coin a chance to grow organically.

I just wanted to extend my gratitude to all those who panic dumped a while ago,not only have you aided me in increasing my holdings but i now have more BTC to boot too.

To the Dev,ignore the window licking trollboxers and keep up the good work.

I've taken the liberty of registering the channel ##x11 on Freenode if you folks want to join it etc,if not it's no biggie Wink
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC] -POW & 3.33% POS - no IPO| Anonymous POS in development on: May 21, 2014, 07:00:21 PM

I'm interested in hearing alternative names for the coin... if the name is to be changed it would be before the anon wallet goes public (non beta)...

Maybe a simple Xcoin since you already have the ticker (dunno if a coin named that has been released yet) and i agree with the dude above me,an Irc channel might be a good idea too.

Should we carry on mining here? i know it's apparentely being fixed but i don't particularly fancy the idea of possibly wasting my time and loosing my balance...

AVcoin is an innovative, secure and energy efficient pure PoS coin. After of 7 day as a PoW, the coin has been transfered to a pure PoS coin, where the generation of new coins and the maintenance of the network are done through minting instead of mining.

AVcoin will have a total of 100 million coins.

PoS will start after at least 8 hour of holding of the coins in the wallet. With PoS, the coin is more resilient to 51% attack.

As an investor, you will be glad to know that holding your coins in the long term will result in tremendous rewards. AVcoin  is also designed to be widely spread amongst population all over the World, and so is available in a large quantity.

AVcoin uses a chained hashing algorithm approach, with many new scientific hashing algorithms for the proof-of-work. This is so that the processing distribution is fair and coins will be distributed in much the same way Bitcoins were originally. ASICs will be much more difficult to make for these algorithms and should take years.

With chained hashing, high end CPUs give an average return similar to that of GPUs. Another side effect of the algorithm is GPUs run at about 30% less wattage than scrypt and 30-50% cooler.

Dont worry my friends , keep a look at https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-SHIBE
crazy shit about to happen also join IRC https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/shibecoin

I see a dead coin. What do you see?
It's gonna explode soon

If i had 1 Sat for everytime i heard that i would be rich, don't get me wrong,i sincerely hope for bagholders the ongoing issues are resolved and the coin does indeed explode and wish them luck, however any sensible investor has already sold in the 300-400 range at the peak like i did and will likely stay away, you need to provide valid reasons to persuade people to buy back in and as it is right now all they see is a non 100% functioning wallet,a skewed blockchain and empty promises.

Mining didn't end? Looked at whitemine.com. NetHashrate 17 GH/s, but looking through pool list at first page, pools haven't this HashRate. Where is all hash???  Shocked

Multipools perhaps?
