Conversely, the U.S. dollar will serve as the go-to safe haven for investors escaping risk-on assets "There seems no reason for the Fed to soften the hawkishness shown at the recent Jackson Hole symposium, and a [0.75 percentage point] 'hawkish hike' should keep the dollar near its highs of the year," analysts at ING told the Financial Times. Independent market analyst PostyXBT argues that a 100 bps rate can "nuke" Bitcoin below its current technical support of $18,800. He also suggests that BTC has a good chance of recovery if the rate hike turns out to be lower than expected, or 50 bps. These speculations echo general rate hike expectations. John Kicklighter, the chief strategist at DailyFX, notes that a 50 bps rate hike would be bullish for the U.S. benchmark stock market index. ہمارا ملک اس وقت سیلاب کی تباہ کاریوں کا شکار ہو چکا ہے۔زندگی کی سینکڑوں شمعیں بجھ چکی ہیں ،ہزاروں جانور بے بسی کی نیند سو چکے ،کئی ہیکٹر زرعی فصلیں ملیا میٹ ہو چکی ہیں۔لاکھوں لوگ بے سروسامانی کی حالت میں دربدر ہیں۔لوگ پانی کے بے رحم ریلوں کے بیچ زندگی اور موت کی کشمکش میں مبتلا ہیں۔کئی معصوم ننھے پھول مرجھا چکے ہیں۔ان کی معصوم روحیں بار بار یہ سوال کر رہی ہیں کہ ’ہمیں کس غلطی کا خمیازہ بھگتنا پڑا ہے‘۔ان کے بچ جانے والے بے بس والدین یہ التجا کر رہے ہیں کہ” ایسی بے بسی سے سب کو بچانایارب“۔اپنے مال،گھر حتیٰ کہ اپنے جگر کے ٹکڑوں کو گنوانے والوں کے لئے تو قیامت برپا ہو چکی ہے

اس بات کے شواہد موجود ہیں کہ زمانہ قدیم میں بھی سیلابی صورتحال سے لوگ متاثر ہوتے رہے ہیں۔ زمانہ قدیم سے لے کر اب تک پانی کا مقابلہ انسانوں کے لئے بڑا چیلنج ہے۔ہاں البتہ انسانی دماغ نے اس کے نقصان کو کم کرنے کیلئے نت نئے طریقے ضرور دریافت کئے۔انسانوں نے پانی کے حوض بنائے جسے نہ صرف سیلابی پانی کو کنٹرول کرنے میں مدد ملی بلکہ پانی کی قلت کو کسی حد تک کم کیا گیا۔زمانہ قدیم میں بہت سے قدرتی حوض اور ندی نالے موجود تھے جو پانی کے بہاؤ کے حساب سے کام کرتے تھے۔ بڑھتی آبادی کے ساتھ انسانوں کی ضروریات بھی بڑھتی گئیں،انسانوں نے پانی کو استعمال کرنے اور اس کے بہاؤ کو کنٹرول کرنے کے لئے نہریں،ندی نالے، بیراج اور ڈیم بنائے۔دنیا بھر میں پانی کی تباہ کاریوں سے بچنے کا رہنما اصول یہی ہے کہ اسے مختلف برانچوں میں تقسیم کر کے اس کے بہاؤ کو بھی تقسیم کر دیا جائے۔اس سے پانی دور دراز علاقوں تک پہنچ جاتا ہے اور پانی کا بہاؤ بھی قابل کنٹرول ہو جاتا ہے۔پاکستان میں انیسویں صدی میں انگریزوں کا بنایا ہوابڑا نہری نظام موجود ہے۔پاکستان میں متعدد دریا،ڈیم،بند، بیراج،ندی نالے اور رابطہ نہریں بھی موجود ہیں جو زرعی بقاء کی ضمانت ہیں،یہ سیلاب کی شدت کم کرنے میں بھی معاون ہیں۔
