201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: March 14, 2020, 10:39:42 PM
I’m a newbie in trading. I want to improve my trading skills. I have heard some experienced trader said that I should learn and read more before start, and also get some experience. Trading requires a lot of patience and hard work, learn about the way to analyze the price chart, when they can be able to analyze price chart they will know the best time to buy and sell and know which one is the best coin to trade…
I tried one but I falied. There is something I don’t know? Please tell me more.

Knowing the best time to buy or sell if the basic and the crucial aspect of trading but no one knows perfectly when to opt in or out in trading cryptocurrency, I'm sure if everyone knows when to enter and leave a trade, no one will loose a fortune to the cryptocurrency market.  Trading of cryptocurrency is really a stressful task that one have to gather lots of experience before venturing into it
202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: March 14, 2020, 10:33:04 PM
In the bull market, any altcoin can pump anytime. It happens all the time. Look at recent pumps of BSV, HBAR, XVG etc. No matter what factors lie behind these pumps it happens.

I don't know which coin will be pumping next and I don't trust any trading advisors, gurus, twitter stars. So I came up with a simple solution that satisfies me for now, but I need some advice to improve it.

It will be round by round investments. Each round has own duration and profit goals. For now, I think about max 1 month and min 100% ROI. I wrote a script for choosing random coins (X) from the list of coins with mark cap >= 100m (Y). X is planned to be somewhere between 2 and 5 coins. I plan to distribute the budget evenly. The goal is to keep everything as simple as possible.

I appreciate any improvements and advice on my strategy.

Your assumption is totally correct, during the bull market virtually every coin do seems to be increasing in value and this is the perfect time to fill the bag but how are you sure that these coins will be able to pass the test of time that the cryptocurrency market is about to venture into. The guenuity of most altcoins will be tested and only a few will survive the storm, i hope the storm will end earlier than we expect
203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 14, 2020, 10:25:54 PM
I don't know if it's only my perception but I constantly notice people who expect continuous growth. Whether it is bitcoin, crypto,
stock, they only see one side of things and never the opposite.

Yes, things go up but they can go down, and going down does not mean the stock/crypto is dying. It means it is alive!
So please stop all these recession & bitcoin going down topics and be wise

Any market which is control by the force of demand and supply is subjective to increase and decrease of assets  prices, and it is applicable to the cryptocurrency market. This is definitely not the firts time the cryptocurrency market is experiencing price fall and this won't be the last but I'm very optimistic that the market is somehow experiencing a correction and very soon, we gonna see price increase in crypt assets
204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading? on: March 13, 2020, 09:24:21 PM
Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading?

Is it true that Corona Virus is affecting Cryptocurrency trading? If so then I have some ideas which may help to prepare the vaccine in short period of time to control the Corona Virus. However I am unable to find a forum where I may share my ideas.

Undeniably,  the epidemic coronavirus has causes downtrend to not just cryptocurrency market but even world's economy as well as other investment industries.  The stock and other related markets are experiencing a massive turn down at a rate higher than that of the cryptocurrency market. The activities of commerce across many nations have been limited leading to economy crisis. Cryptocurrency is not an exception as it is being traded by humans and not aliens.

However, I'm curious about the so called cure recipe you claimed to have that can cure the mighty coronavirus, like where have you been all these while when people are suffering from the disease. I'll be glad to know about this your cure
205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was $3,871 on this day - 1 year ago on: March 13, 2020, 09:03:30 PM
On this day, 1 year ago on 8th March 2019...

1 Bitcoin = $3,871

Here is how far and wide we have gone in the last 1 year. Now bitcoin being tested as an asset class in the current global turmoil of coronavirus and rate cuts.
Where do you think it will go from here?

The whole thing seems more like a circle repeating year after year. However I'm certain about the current bear market being caused due to the global crisis everywhere and the coronavirus epidemic. Cryptocurrency seems to be the least affected investments option when you check out other markets. I'm very optimistic that bull isn't far from cryptocurrency market as this year already shown a great market prospect before the coronavirus and the crisis.
206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TOP 6 RULES IN CRYPTO TRADING on: March 13, 2020, 08:53:43 PM
So you want to make some money through CRYPTO TRADING?

Rule #6: DIVERSIFY

And I don’t mean your CRYPTOCURRENCIES PORTFOLIO but your whole INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO. Putting all your hard earned cash in a volatile market as CRYPTOCURRENCIES is a huge mistake! Investing up to 10%-15% of your portfolio in CRYPTO considered safe! The other 85%-90% consider to invest in more tangible assets like GOLD, REAL-ESTATE and the STOCK/BOND MARKET.

If you feel confused and don’t know how to invest in the exciting market of cryptocurrencies, just subscribe to our FREE WHALETANK CHANNEL and give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Nice write-up you put out here, i can't deny the fact that the entire post is insightful and educative as you can't just finish learning cryptocurrency market. However, the cryptocurrency market is too volatile and i guess that's why the whole sector is still battling to be accepted by everyone out there as means of payment. Your rule #6 nailed the whole thing needed in trading and investing in cryptocurrency market. Putting all your hard earned money in this market is more or less like gambling with your entire money. I think more secure and safer investments options just like the ones you listed are the ones worth locking one's investments in for long term

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 08, 2020, 04:42:48 PM
Ethereum has been steadily on the rise for a good while now, and this first half of Q1 2020 has proven that they have brought that same energy into the new decade. They have started 2020 with a bang, more than doubling in value in just 2 months.

There are quite a few factors that have come into play to make this a winning year for Ethereum and here are just a few: https://thecoinshark.net/en/5-reasons-why-ethereum-is-winning-in-2020/amp/

What do you think we can expect to see for the rest of the year?

Undoubtedly, ethereum saw a price surge just like every other coin because of the little bull run of 2020's first quarter. By the way, when you says can it takes the 1st place, do you mean in token price i.e becoming the expensive crypto out there or becoming 1st in terms of overall marketcap or utility?

For either reasons, i'd say ethereum dosen't have the necessary resources required yet. Quite understandably, ethereum is among the cryptos with real life usage, it's potentials to provide smart contracts, Decentralized finance (DeFi), Digital identity, Tokenizing, real-world assets, Health applications, Security, infrastructure, Payments, Privacy from third parties, Politics, Storing data, Initial Coin Offerings, Gambling are enough make it 1st crypto but as we all know, crypto dosen't work that way, not to talk of the fact that lots of scam projects that utilized ethereum blockchain contributes to the bad tainting on the ecosystem of anchoring bad DApps.

I'm very optimistic that one day, with the various Usecases of ethereum, it will sour higher than it's current worth. I cant say to compete with bitcoin though as both of them offers different life solutions.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 30, 2019, 06:03:55 PM
At present time in the crypto space. Yes there are more and more projects coming up every day. New coins and tokens. What would you rather see more of this time that be more useful to you?

Coin or a Utility token that can be earned by doing something else?

Why do you think a Coin is what you want to see?

Or Why would you want to see more Token projects?

or why you would not want to see either of both

Tell us your reasons why. this be neat

To me, its not really important which (either coin or token) we have more in crypto. What matters most is the impact made in cryptocurrency in terms of boosting crypto usability and adoption. Libra proposed launch news did more for crypto than hundreds or coins and tokens that have launched in the last 12 months
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 30, 2019, 04:33:12 PM
I never knew it will be that bad maybe because I wasn't a perenial IEOs investors but Bitmex Research makes some damn revelations. You can take a look below

"In its latest report on the phenomenon published on Dec. 23, the analytics arm of exchange BitMEX, BitMEX Research, identified twelve major IEOs that launched this year. Of those, eleven are now almost worthless compared to the price at which they first traded on exchanges."
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitmex-crypto-ieo-poor-performance-sees-investors-lose-up-to-98

Especially Binance IEOs initially promised good profits. For Binance IEOs things went generally well initially. But in other exchanges, the result was not the same. Especially the Ocean had been a great disappointment.

This reminds us that; we must always be very careful in this market.

I think its a general issue and not just related to Binance IEO coins/tokens. Where are those coins that had top top sales and popularity on OKEX, Gate, Bitrexx and Kucoin IEO launchpads. Even the token Ampleforth from one of the biggest exchange in Europe(Bitfinex) is one of the worst performing tokens.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 23, 2019, 06:12:30 PM
This could be the reason why there's a sudden silence that came in for IEO lately. I haven't heard that much hype with it these days because of the introduction of it which made a lot of expectations and people turning to rush with investing to every IEO that will be done by an exchange.

There's a possibility that IEO will be over their success is shortlived what happen to ICO is now happening to IEO, I wonder if STO will follow after this, there should also be a study about STO, and see if they are following the same path, it'\s really preferable to invest on the top coins in the market, than gamble to this crowdfunding.

STOs were introduced immediately after ICO and before the IEO. But it didn't attract much attention. Because in logic, it seemed that the market was not very convenient.

Yes STOs is the proper model but wouldn't really work because most cryptocurrency companies aren't established especially for the startups. Maybe Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Bitmain would successfully hold an STO.

Also the fact that the market is not fully developed made it impossible for STOs to thrive, plus investors mostly want immediate returns with high margins.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 23, 2019, 06:09:49 PM
A reason they do not have a good performance, IEO only guarantees security in crowdfunding events, not means there is potential for the future, please note this. because what I know lately is that the IEO project has been filled with manipulation and allocation that doesn't make sense. from the OP source link provided, only the Matic project was able to provide more investor returns, and there was bad news, but the team succeeded in overcoming and refuting the incident. from this all the projects can be concluded with an active team and build a good strategy, will affect performance and there is more potential at a later time.

You are right. One thing we are sure IEO brought to the table was crowdfunding security which ICOs really didn't offer. On stability of investors funds or returns of higher profit margins, we will think of a solution for that Wink

213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How EOSIO Plans to Ameliorate The Problems of Buying Blockchain Resources on: December 23, 2019, 03:42:47 PM

215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL&CALM on: December 22, 2019, 11:02:44 PM
Hold and Calm, Yes! But please don't make the mistake of holding and looking away in cryptocurrency especially if you hold altcoins instead of BTC. Because you might just get back from sabbatical leave to find out that the coin you now hold has been rendered useless by a SWAP you missed. That reminds me, Storiqa swap is currently own. Holders should check their group on telegram and do the needful
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: December 22, 2019, 10:52:41 PM
$ 1,000 is a big amount, if you want to invest the money in crypto then my advice is you can buy some crypto like
1. BTC = 50%
2. ETH = 30%
3. EOS = 10%
4. BNB = 10%
especially now that prices in the market are down, this is a good opportunity for you to invest with some of the crypto above. I believe some of the crypto above have great potential in the future and are worthy of long-term investment.

In my opinion, the answer is pretty simple. Just but BTC. I mean why should I even consider other coins when halving is few months aways and judging by the record of past bitcoin halving, it's always been a moon time and happy time for holders.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many projects is bad on: December 22, 2019, 10:46:17 PM
As far as this forum is concerned, Imo I would have suggested that the admin can also ensure that scam project are not allowed to advertise here but I think I have also seen some bounty threads being tagged as warning for participants (or maybe they should just remove such thread entirely).

On the other hand, is difficult to ascertain scam project at the beginning.
I advise that participants could choose to follow certain legit managers and managers that are producing scam projects will be alone to themselves and pack up with time  Grin

It's very difficult mate. Truly the admins can help regulate and sift projects but then in the early stages how can you know if it's real or fake. There should be a mechanism or model developed to mitigate scam projects, I guess we are still looking for the right equation to balance the model. Sooner or later it will happen anyway
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The True Decentralized Exchange on: December 22, 2019, 10:34:50 PM
Block dex is quite new to me because I have not used it. I will look out for it as well, that's if they will have enough liquidity. One of the most popular DEXs I know to have remained stable for a while is fork delta but they all still have the problem of poor liquidity. The user interface, I can manage but the trade volume is terrible
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here got paid in Presearch on: December 22, 2019, 10:30:14 PM
It is a total scam.
Slow search engine, tons of ads, and they are stealing data.
Also 100% premined Token.
Scammer Colin Pape first ripped you off with his Shitcoin and now he is selling ads and userdata.
Don´t waste your time or even money to make this guy rich.

You cannot possibly assume a project is scam because its primined or based on your personal alignment. Also the accusation that they sell data is serious one I might ask for proof if you don't mind because I wouldn't like to participate in a project that will farm my data and make money of it
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DOES BOUNTY PROJECTS TAKE TIME TO ENTER A MARKET on: December 16, 2019, 11:43:27 PM
I Notice that most projects that conducted bounty finds it difficult to enter the crypto market especially a quality market. i think most are afraid of been dump.
what are the possible reasons why tokens takes too much time before getting listed on exchange.
One of the top bounty manager yahoo managed a bounty which was finished in Q2 2018 still has no sign of listing. They are telling one thing, can't let this token price dump. Exchange listing money isn't few amount, this could be another reason. Some coin has good plan like without beta or main version doesn't enter in exchange.

True. Exchange listing fees can be exorbitant a times. As it ranges from 0.6 btc to 2btc for medium range exchanges like Hotbit, Bilaxy. But then it all lies on the developers. This is why Investors prefer IEOs because they are allowed the opportunity to actually see the possible future listing of the project unlike in ICOs
