Good news everyone, we are now on version 0.8.6.3. This is not a major release and if you already have a working client installed you can skip this one, however if you are a new user or are unable to connect then this new release is for you.
What we have done is created a DNS seeder for the CannabisCoin network. When the client first connects to the network it asks the seeder for a list of other clients to connect to. Without a DNS seeder you will have problems connecting which is why there was addnode information shared on the first post in this thread, those addnode entries were a way of manually specifying other clients to connect to. We can now do away with addnode information as clients will now automatically connect to the network.
On top of this a small list of pnSeeds have also been defined in the client source code, these are simply other clients to connect to if the DNS seeder is down, it is like defining addnode information in the source code. This update is the first in many to help develop the CannabisCoin client and network.
Small point to note, the dark interface wallet has been retired. Alternative or improved interfaces will no doubt be returned to in the future.

He was NOT a dev but a day trader whom was out for his own benefit.
Just ignore him and move on.

LOL, something doesn't quite seem right about a H1 Hummer being used to promote CANN. It's like the anti-green promoting the green.
I am a huge environmentalist and am well aware of how serious our situation is with regards to climate change, water shortages, overpopulation etc. I also drive a Prius and recycle obsessively. That being said, CANN is about cannabis.....nothing to do with the green movement. If you want to invest in a "green" coin, check out cleanwatercoin or genercoin (backed by renewable energy). Course you probably won't make any money with those coins, but at least you can say you invested in "green" coins. If, on the other hand, you want to invest in a coin that is about getting meds to patients in need, then invest in CANN. And of course, investing in CANN has a nice side benefit which is that it will make you rich. It's BIODIESEL anyhow Sheesh! lol Makes a nice billboard. |

Quick Update:A "POD" or "Proof of Dev" verification has already been done for CannabisCoin by CryptoAsian. Who is CryptoAsian?CryptoAsian does a free service to the general public regarding some trustworthiness of coin developers to help give investors peace of mind in their investments. We are currently a 4 of 5 "POD"  DeltaNine will soon be giving full disclosure on himself but before he does, the real credit goes to people like CryptoAsian who provide a good service to the crypto world. DeltaNine has submitted (9/19/2014) his final requirement to CryptoAsian and we will be 5+ "POD" Why bother doing a "POD" if DeltaNine is going to disclose anyways? It occurs to me that it isn't mentioned anywhere in the OP (1st page of this thread I mean) that 1 cann = 1 gram of cannabis.
Seems to me that anyone interested in investing in cann would first read the OP and they would have no idea that 1 cann = 1 gram so they might move on to another coin.
Just thinking out loud.....

Great pictures, what exactly are we waiting on? That looks like several Kgs of good weed, why cant it be sold for CANN at the dispensary right now?
We are finalizing procedures, supply, transaction training, POS system. This makes it easier for the others to adopt. We will also being doing a test run to ensure everything is successful. As noted, more news, photos, and vids. coming. |
