@Dagger
I think we should rebrand PoSa.
Cloakstake?
Well if you look at other coins that have invented something completely new they tend to refer to it, by what it actually is. Bitcoin: proof of work (not bitcoinwork) Peercoin : proof of stake (not peerstake) Fluttercoin : proof of transaction (not fluttertransaction) So it seems to fit best that we create the tech and call it by what it is. Cloakcoin : proof of stake anon (not cloakstake or cloakanon)

awesome.
Just like BitcoinTees says, i think it is important to grow in social media, especially reddit. At the moment
/r/drkcoin : 2347 members /r/nxt : 799 members /r/worldcoinalliance : 142 members /r/peercoin : 3343 members /r/potcoin : 1717 members /r/megacoin : 427 members
and now cloak:
/r/cloak : 38 members
This needs to grow, and grow fast. I want to urge people to join the reddit and get this going.
I really think cloak can be the next best ano-coin
It's great to have a social media presence for sure, but for official Cloak Dev team we are committed to improving / innovating and building new tech, that is where our resources are. Hey Dagger, Can u please tell us more about the dev team? As investor I would like to know a little bit more No names ofcourse, but for example; how much people, full time parttime, what are their bitcointalk aliases and perhaps more? Maybe programming experience? Thanks, boestin 4 full time 2 part time. 3 guys on dev team have and still run very successful IT businesses. Please respect their wish for privacy atm.

We've added a nodes / ip list to the CLOAK blockexplorer.
Next add will be an option so you can download a .conf straight from it with latest nodes.
http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/nodes/
|
|
|
For more connections copy following nodes into .conf.
Or download this one:

A node explorer will be released soon.addnode=cloak.blockexplorer.cc addnode=192.99.151.16 addnode=50.128.154.237 addnode=77.249.168.146 addnode=76.169.255.141 addnode=218.164.167.197 addnode=24.135.45.41 addnode=79.183.66.206 addnode=5.250.177.24 addnode=24.19.201.140 addnode=118.211.182.156 addnode=173.160.122.197 addnode=69.158.26.167 addnode=70.181.40.178 addnode=81.155.25.161 addnode=94.189.223.95 addnode=108.166.185.202 addnode=84.40.109.91 addnode=96.231.24.234 addnode=73.36.117.179 addnode=93.48.222.5 addnode=24.22.1.36 addnode=24.89.19.47 addnode=73.55.246.45 addnode=5.18.157.198 addnode=222.161.201.150 addnode=95.57.120.229 addnode=50.108.60.236 addnode=113.241.110.247 addnode=223.217.62.137 addnode=71.195.246.16 addnode=173.60.109.115 addnode=68.49.149.156 addnode=74.93.57.157 addnode=114.85.223.175 addnode=66.75.115.59

Anybody experiencing any of the following: Coins not arriving at mintpal or other exchange Wallet is out of sync Not displaying the exact block number as showing on the Cloak block explorer... http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/chain/CloakCoinFollow the instructions posted below.
went through the same. Apparently fork on mintpal. Only way to recover for me was:
1. Make copy of wallet.dat -DO NOT MISS THIS else coin gone 2. Get rid of the entire appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder 3. Run the wallet 4. stop it and copy your saved wallet.dat back in 5. create a cloakcoin.conf file in the appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder 6. add some nodes eg this is the content of my file:
addnode=cloak.blockexplorer.cc addnode=108.166.185.202 addnode=95.57.120.229 addnode=69.175.37.134 addnode=128.199.178.172 addnode=204.11.237.74 addnode=54.76.17.223 addnode=83.5.174.97 addnode=208.84.132.253
7. Run the wallet again and let it sync
I had to restart it a couple of times to get the sync to complete If your coins don't show (happened to me) : go to debug console and enter and run repairwallet
Should be good after that

I sent some test coins (0.5) from my wallet to Mintpal and they have never arrived. The transaction ID doesnt exist in the blockchain, even thought it has already more than 500 confirmations. Can someone tell me what is going on ? I am with the last version of the wallet. Can someone help me please. I am scared to send coins now trough the network .... Thanks. Please join IRC #Cloakcoin for some help in sorting that out.

As a secondary project to PoSA we are continuing development of CLOAK services:
The following three options are the next steps after CloakTrade.
We want the community to decide which path to take as a priority (we can and will make them all).
1. CloakDocs: Encrypted Document Sending
Safely transfer documents p2p in the knowledge they are kept away from prying eyes.
2.CloakChat: Encrypted Chatrooms and Messaging Service
Talk with other Cloakers, keeping your discussions private and secure.
3. CloakMarket: Decentralized p2p Marketplace
The worlds first Peer to Peer Decentralized Marketplace, where you can list goods/services for cloak. There will be NO centralized service for storing listings. These listings will propagate amongst the wallet holders. It will also include reputation system tied to the address that wants to receive payments for goods or services. You could think of it as a decentralized ebay.

It's odd the market hasn't reacted more favorably. TOR is implemented! Not saving your API key just means you can't trade via your wallet for a little bit. That's a secondary feature in my opinion. Did I mention they got TOR IMPLEMENTED?
Yes this is correct. We'll get the API patched today.
|
|
|
Does the wallet need to synch fully to be able to verify and save API keys!
coz it isn't !!
Yes : Looks like this is the first bug... was working fine in demo and initial build. Looking into it and will get a patch out asap.
|
|
|
Worth mentioning that TOR is fully built into the wallet and works from startup automatically.
During testing we saw no apparent slow down in performance and so decided not to include an on off toggle for 1.9.5.0: TOR works out the box.
