Do you really think that someone (like Paul Vernon) would waste his sucessful business by stealing? People who say that should really think again. If he wants to cash he could sell his multi million dollar exchange, right?
Ok, please then explain to us WHY he did it then. If you forget about the hack, and just focus on all the people who lost money AFTER that fact... Those coins were stolen too... not by the hacker in question but by Paul. Unless you have some better way to explain it... we will all be listening. |

class action law suits that ages, I mean look at how long BFL class action law suit took.
And thats more of the better scenarios since the litigation actually took place with the whole raid. I doubt it would be the same for crytpsy.
On top of that, I don't see any real reason for Paul to ever come back to the states to argue. They can drag in the rest of the staff, even Hours if he is still in Canada... but there is no extradition treaty with China... He will just spend the rest of his life hiding there. |

I is way more scary then that they where asking all kinds of information from their users to get "upgraded" while they knew this wouldn't help.

Great thought. Did everyone who "upgraded" their account when told by jshock start checking credit reports and lock your credit? Since they knew it would not help you get your coins back, there must have been a great reason for asking for all that wonderful data... Also, since they collected all that data, and got hacked... can they prove your ssn and photo id was not stolen as well? I don't know what the going rate is for someones identity... but im sure there are some craptsy employees looking for a retirement option. Just saying |

Cryptsy had a BTC/LTC "hack" (or however they really lost the coins), and for someone I can't withdraw DASH?  ? Thats cause they used your money to pay bills. It was clear that they ran the site with customers money and no intent to return deposits made. You don't really think that everyone was banned from chat because cryptsy was going to make it all right? They banned everyone from chat because they wanted the new deposits coming in as long as they could to make extra coins for paul. Hiding in china... |

I was just able to log on to Cryptsy a few minutes ago. Isn't this new website that Vernon has considered to be property that can be seized to pay back Cryptsy customers?
bitebi9.com is not Paul. They even tell you that when you open a ticket demanding that he release the funds stolen from cryptsy. I know project investors was involved in setting it up, and the fact that Paul ran to hide in china as this site was set up looks suspicious... but if they say it isn't related it must be true... after all people associated with crypto can't lie on the internet... |

Supposedly in Chinese Prison they beat the prisoners with 2x4s with nails sticking out of them and force them to chant communist slogans. Does the government extradite from China? I think it would be great if the coins coins be recovered. Vern needs someone to recover the coins or else buy him out, if one of these things happens soon enough I think he can avoid going to jail. If Cryptsy can manage to get bailed out real soon he can probably turn it around. After the lawsuit begins, it will be hard for him to stay out of jail. Showing up in court and at depositions and pleading the 5th will just make him look even guiltier. Avoiding the whole thing will make him look guilty and then he'd potentially lose a judgment by default.. Answering questions under oath he will likely incriminate himself if he does answer. The longer it takes for the coins to be recovered or for Cryptsy to secure a bail out the more chance Vern has of going to jail. He should want to sell Cryptsy at any cost since it is a huge liability for him at this point. If he can recover the coins or sell Cryptsy to a buyer who can payout the customers I think he can probably avoid jail. I think that's what would be best for the customers as well. Perhaps a rich chinese millionaire investment group could buy Cryptsy, pay out customers, and then Vern would probably have the heat off him and go on with life.
Vern will never come back to the US to fight the lawsuit. EVER. There is no point, he has no defense. Whatever he wants to say about the hack, all coins lost after that hack are on him and his staff. Cryptsy stole the users funds in the end... the hacker stole some and cryptsy stole the rest. Even if he came back to fight it, he would loose, and he doesn't have 10 million laying about to settle the judgement so it would be worthless. China has no extradition treaties with the US (except Hong Kong) so he would have no incentive to ever leave China. Face it... the money is gone. The rest of this is all just for show. |

There was never a chance to get them back this way. Think it over.... Think this way, for a million dollar bounty he would have returned the coins the same day and been done with it and moved on to his /her new life. I personally don't know anyone who would not have done exactly that. Tempting as it would be to just take the stolen coins, there would be people tracking them and the chance to get caught would go up. This was simply a troll to get the masses fired up, nothing more... and its over now. |

However they logged in as Eternal Insolent by mistake when it was posted. It was deleted right after, but there it is... clear as you need. |
