202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tax refund scheme scams on the rise using "Gas fee refunds" on: March 17, 2024, 01:53:21 PM
Thanks for doing this and I hope it gets to many people as soon as possible, although not everyone on the forum will care about this and it also can't get to all the newbies in crypto spaace but atleast it will safe the little that it can, hopefully, beginners on this forum will come across this thread.

There is nothing on the block chain that will reward for all the gas fees you've spent since you started buying Ethereum, if you come across any, it's likely to be a scam, only greedy people who feel like making money can be free will become a victim to such similar scams online.

Be very careful of Twitter and Telegram, scammers and many impersonators are on these social apps, do not believe anything you see online, especially when they are trying to give out free tokens or compensation for anything.

If you don't work for it why try to claim it? Don't let your greed get the best of you.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Faketoshi saga is now coming to a close... on: March 17, 2024, 11:19:23 AM
Thank God this whole drama is finally coming to an end. I saw this news yesterday but it's surprising how one will just be too thick skinned to let go off his false claims even from the first time in 2016 when he spoke about it, I wonder what was is drive all these years since we know deep down he knows that in the end he will definitely lose the case
Its nothing to thank God about.

Assuming that this man somehow confused us all that he is Nakamoto, will you believe him? Because I won't.

Until he is able to proof that he is the real Nakamoto, maybe by

1. Siginig into his BTT account thats been less active for a very long time already.

2. Sign some contract on chain? I believe this is possible since many knew Nakamoto's original address, can someone confirm this for me?

Sometimes, lies find its way to the top, Faketoshi just isn't confusing enough that's why he failed, you need to find answers yourself even when those around you believe something to be true, don't just make up your mind due to what others believe.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 17, 2024, 10:09:01 AM
I want to believe that we all agree that our betting budget should be within 5% -10% of our monthly income as responsible gamblers. However, our perspective on sports betting differs. Look at the gambling sentences and indicate which of the statements you agree or disagree with. You could also write a brief explanation for your standpoint

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

This is not a bad write up but here are my answers...

1. I can bet all my money on a single bet and I don't see how this is wrong, if $5 is all that i can afford to lose on that day, I can just risk all the $5 on a single bet, what I will never do is losing the $5 and still feel like risking more money, the solution is, can you walk away after losing?

2. Still doesn't matter if I bet same amount on every bets or not, once you reach your limit that you normally use in gambling you must quit and go away, next time you can decide to go slower it still won't matter, because if its not your lucky day you aren't going back home as a winner.

3. Still similar to my no 1 and 2 points, you can choose to bet more than once in a day, if you have not lost all the amount you want to risk in gambling, assuming I enter a casino in the morning with $5 and I risk only $2.5 and I quit, decide to come back in the evening and risk the last $2.5, how is this bad?

4. I accept your last advice not to bet every day, because it's not good for you as a human, it means that gambling is slowly becoming very important in your life and that my friend is not safe, business and jobs are what should take most of our times and days, not gambling.

The less time you spend gambling, the better for you.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A personal view on: March 17, 2024, 09:07:18 AM
I've been around a lot of gamblers and you would find them in all their types according to what they say and do, and there there several arguments and views that they have on different issues, and I'd like to hear your on them too.

👉 how do you view women gambling in your area:

I've never seen one either but thats because it looks immoral for a woman to visit a gambling location, its something that men do, but today we have online casinos, and its a perfect fit for females that want to take risks on sports and others.

👉how do you view notorious gamblers:

Its not doubt, such people are irresponsible gamblers, they choose to risk all they have and they are the type that cares about themselves only, gambling is risky and many people know this, but they believe that they are diffrent, they knew what could probably happen to them, so I don't pity.

👉how do you really feel when you lose money on gambling?  Do you feel bad or just lie to yourself that's it was for fun?

I don't feel bad when I gamble, because the money I use to lose is not worth feeling bad about, its the type of money that one can easily spend on drinks and foods, unless they don't have a source of income.

👉how do you spend your gambling wins: I know a lot of persons that woudl say gambling wins is for enjoyment and would use to to buy cloths or shoes or may go out to have fun. And you also like this? Or do you use you gambling wins for other issues?

I haven't win any life changing amount from gambling before but when I win I always keep some amount aside for future gambling and I put some money back into Bitcoin too, holding Bitcoin is far better than risking money on gambling, just a plus.

👉how do you feel when peopel ask you for money to gamble?, do you gamble with debt?  Or would you never indulge in such no matter how sure you are about the game ?

No one has ever ask me for money to gamble, if this is what they plan to use the money for, I am sure that they won't tell because its easier to be pissed and say no to them.

👉Do you set rules or limits on how much you stake per week to control your addiction or you are disciplinedenough to know when to stop?

We all have our own rules, if you don't I advise you should consider one, I have my own limit that I risk on gamble and I have limited days in a week for gambling also, I am very much discipline to stop gambling when I lose my balance and I don't move funds that I am not ready to lose into any casino acc.

👉behind the mask of loving to gamble if you get rich would you still gamble or never again?

I could, because I am gambling to have some fun, and that's a good reason to always come back and gamble, for many its only money but for people like me, fun is a huge plus why we gamble.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 17, 2024, 08:25:25 AM
I always have this kind of mistake before way back when I’m still inexperienced gambler. A simple mistake such as not placing a bet on a round that result to massive win just because my screen glitch makes me tilted that resulted to lose focus and bust all my bankroll quickly due to risky bets.

There’s some instances that I’m already winning big on blackjack then one of my bet is a pair of 10 which I accidentally double down instead of stand while I place huge bet triggers me a lot that result to terrible loss.

I’m sure many players here experience this kind of minor mistakes that resulted to terrible outcome. Share your story and let’s have fun hearing it. I hope there’s no BS story…
This is hard to believe, because I have been gambling for a long time now and I have never had such problems, internet in some countries are pretty bad and if you know this already why still gamble on such a network?

It's your problem to solve, abandon the network and look for a better option, make sure your network is very fast before you start gambling, you can use an online network tester and see how fast your Mbps is.

The only one time I messed up was when my data got expired when I already start gambling, I lost nothing though bit it interrupted the fun, and I quit to buy a fresh data for the month.

All these can't be blamed on the casinos.

Do not blame anyone who has heard of Bitcoin but never invested in it. Loud and clear, Bitcoin is not for everybody but can accommodate anybody.
You don't just have to give all business opportunities trial, sometimes just pay deaf ears and pass by in as much you don't have interest in it but if you do but only that you do not have the investment knowledge, then go seek for it and don't hesitate to get on it because time lost can never be recovered although opportunity lost today could be replaced in time but based on luckiness and how much we strives

I just feel that investing on the Bitcoin was not a calling for Jeff otherwise his excuses are irrelevant and he would keep posting Mike that he would buy sooner and later.
There is no just passion for Jeff about that Bitcoin investments and I don't blame him in anyways in as much he has sources of income for Bitcoin is not the only option for source of income.
Let us be guided so that we don't keep to persuade people to involve into what they are not interested about.
Let’s be realistic here. Bitcoin is not the key to solve poverty but it can be a great aid for our daily survival. But not everyone gets attracted to bitcoin, simply because of how the government is against on it, and how volatility might threaten profitability. We don’t need to let other people take some risks with bitcoin when we all know there’s always other ways to gain income even without getting involved with bitcoin.
I don't want to believe that, and also we all become what we believe, crypto in general, not just Bitcoin, have taken me from the ground to a higher level, I am worth thousands of dollars thanks to crypto, and this money in my local currency is in millions, I consider myself a millionaire and I am working towards a millionaire in dollars, I believed it and it happened.

Most people don't get attracted to Bitcoin simply because of the waiting game and the lack of understanding, I am saying this from the experience I had with people around me, it always looks like a big deal to hold on to something for years before you get some good reward, but for me its easy.

The sad part is, these same people go on with their lives and 4 - 5 years will still pass like it's yesterday, and their achievements will only be fairly better to none since 5 years back, I just made up my mind that poor people are poor because of the way they think, and rich people are rich because of the way they reason.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: March 14, 2024, 02:33:08 PM
Really funny act. How will you accuse someone of such when you never had them in mind if you win the money? If you make a mistake, take responsibility for what you did and own up for your actions. Don’t try to make anyone suffer or pay wrongly when they are entirely innocent. If I had the power as the judge, I’d make them pay even more time in jail because it could have been an innocent person.
Yes, but unfortunately not many people in the world think like this, and I believe that's why they never grow.

Taking full responsibility for your decision will make you stronger and you will have more confidence in yourself, even when you make mistakes you will learn from them, if these people successfully blame someone else I believe they still won't learn.

They will probably still carry out the same operation on someone else someday, people who don't take responsibility for their own decisions will never grow in every aspect of life, because they will keep shunning failure away from them, and failing is how we grow.

Like my father trained us, saying it's fine to fail, it's how we gain more knowledge, whenever I fail at something, he will ask me what I have learned from my failure.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a quick rich and get poorer investment. on: March 14, 2024, 01:41:00 PM
Bitcoin investment is an investment you start early and take time to grow, discipline, monitor with patient to enable your target of investment excel and you can only make this investment when you patiently elongate it to enable you flourish well to the extend that when you harvest your profit from the investment it will still be progressing and not when you invest in six months time and you are inquisitive to get your profit in eight months time its wrong and getting patient to achieve what you invest is a good helping hands for future and at least when you invest in six months time you get your profit in one or two years or more for your effort to be reasonable and bear in mind that Bitcoin is not altcoin that can be hype or where many altcoins are built based on the basic structure provided by Bitcoin, Bitcoin cannot not make you poor when you know what you are doing and is more valuable and can make you rich when you wisely trade in futures.
When there is no source to survive people tend to want a positive result very fast, the problem is not the rush but what prompts them to be in a rush, it's the lack of a source of income, this is the only problem I have seen in people that wanted to learn about Bitcoin investment through me.

They believe that they don't have the patience, since they need to survive as humans, they need to pay bills and also eat healthy food, it's a good point the solution is finding a paying job to survive and use some percentage of the paying job to invest in Bitcoin.

While you are holding your Bitcoin, you won't need your Bitcoin to pay for any bills or get food on your table, you will find holding to be easy compare to someone who have no source of income.

Bitcoin is capable of making you poor, don't forget that not all investors are successful with Bitcoin, you need to acquire the knowledge to understand the Bitcoin market, some times are good for buying, if you sell when you should be buying you aren't getting anywhere.
212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the needful this period and save yourself stress and heartbreak on: March 14, 2024, 10:13:11 AM
note: just a quick reminder

The bull market is here once more and we can definitely see the effect it has on folks that HODL and others that are weary in a haste to sell off their coins due to FOMO and also others that were doubtful are still going crazy looking for huge funds to invest in Bitcoin for particularly the same reasons.

And this period comes with alot of significance because a whole load of shit normally happen during this period like
  • crazy scam altcoins projects
  • exchanges bringing up stories about being hacked
  • hackers striving to get to as many victims as they can
  • scam traders flaunting their progress to lure novice into trading of their coins

All these and many more happen during this period so it would be nice for every newbie and know what to do to avoid such stories especially for the aspect of saving or keeping your coins on exchanges.

Let's all stay smart out there and avoid getting entangled in any scam event and be always be on guard that these are trial time for those that refuse to learn and heed to advice.
In the past years in crypto space, I have heard about stories of inside jobs on crypto exchanges where they lied that they got hacked but it's all a big cinema to them, they plan the whole thing themselves, to either avoid bankruptcy or they just want to steal money from their customers.

Though there is no genuine evidence that this is really happening but they way it happened just make it look so, it's good advice when beginners are warned to never leave their digital assets on any crypto exchanges, you will never know when something bad will happen to any centralized exchange.

Also, greed has a lot of contributions to every scams, if you listen to strangers in the crypto space, you probably think that they have something to offer too, if you see tokens you don't buy in your crypto wallet, it's greed that makes you want to claim it, everything is connected to greed.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 14, 2024, 09:20:49 AM
There are many gamblers that loves the risk aspect of gambling, it has become a adventure-like experience, they will surely go for the 5BTC with it's trial, and if they lose they will take it as another lose day in gambling.

I won't say that it's greed, cos few of them want the excitement that comes with the possibility of winning that 5BTC but I don't crave for such excitement, I would rather take the 1 Bitcoin because it's easy as it gets, no extra stress included.

In today's world, 1 Bitcoin will do wonders in your life, I will feel more satisfied taking this 1 Bitcoin and gladly walk away with my head facing straight up as I walk away, in boldness of course, there is no risk attached to the 1 Bitcoin and this makes it the best option instead of the 5 Bitcoin.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 14, 2024, 08:40:35 AM
Hi,

As everyone knows the goal of betting is to get the largest amount of money , knowing that the risks do not change whether you bet a large or small amount, and sometimes the amount you bet with is your capital, and this drains you of your time and money, and perhaps your work and daily tasks.

Do you think that the benefits in gambling Worth the invest of your money and your time with knowing that your chances are Just 50/50?

Don't get it twisted, in gambling, we don't invest anything because gambling can't be considered as investment, if what you are risking on gambling is mind boggling for you then you should be turning that money into buying an asset or something that's worth calling investment.

Do you know the type of money that's fit for gambling? The kind that you use to buy biscuits for kids when coming back home every day after work, it's biscuit money, if lost there is nothing to regret there, it's not something worth thinking twice about.

See, I don't pity gamblers that lose money, if it's painful for you then you are risking too much, find a way to lower the amount and also lower your expectations, people like trying to solve a problem with more problems, we can see a lot of examples among gamblers today.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 11:26:06 AM
It doesn't feel true, why the camera? It's like the camera knew that this risk wasn't going to fail or something? It looked like a advert exeocted from a casino, anyways this is how I personally feel about the video.

Many people have risked their life savings in casinos and they lost, no one knew about it other than their families but in this case, all eyes are on this man, very entertaining it must have been for other gamblers.

Maybe this will have a positive impact on other gamblers watching this. I wonder what their gain will be on the casino's side.

Or maybe the man announced that he planned to use his life savings to play a single roulette game? Why this much attention? This is not a 50/50 it's a win-or-lose situation, a 0/1.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan says BTC price could drop after 2024 halving on: March 13, 2024, 09:18:43 AM
Yes, it could, and for smart investors, it's going to be a final buying opportunity, I crave a massive retrace in Bitcoin price, to be honest, but I don't like getting too emotional, I am not so bullish and I am also not too bearish, I have to learn to not lose my sense about the market anymore, whatever happens, is very welcome in my world.

Either this is coming from JP Morgan or not, I already believe that a correction is possible, even down to 20% but that doesn't mean it will happen, instead of trying this hard to figure out what the future will bring, it's better to be prepared for both possible outcome.

Have some stable coins in your crypto wallet, for taking opportunities when they come, and go back to your life and keep smiling, you have some Bitcoin and also some stablecoins, this is a win/win situation.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: March 13, 2024, 08:31:27 AM
Look, you can be old and rich or young an poor, but being old and poor is bad shit.

A surefire way of doing the wrong kind of things is to spend your money early or try to live a good life quickly without thinking about the future. Or if you have an ok job or income to think that is enough, even if you cannot save.

All young people, understand that time an money are linked. It is not the same to invest early than late, it is not the same to invest more early than try to invest more later. 100 is worth 100 today, but 800 in 20 years if you play it safe but well. Make no mistake, you will need to start creating your wealth.

It's scary, but many people don't think about this until it happens to them, it's part of the reason why my struggle is non-stop even when I am worth some good amount of money already, it's better to have a lot of money at your old age than your spending it all and end up been a broke old man.

Old people needs a lot more money at the age because majority of it is going into their health management, a old man without enough money will suffer and it could also be the reason why their passing will be nearer.

The truth is, you need more money at your older age than when you are young, always make sure you think about your old age and prepare for it right now, don't be stupid and think that your kids will always be there for you, they will go their own ways too.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: March 13, 2024, 07:21:08 AM
I want to know how it feels among those of you who gamble using altcoins or bitcoins, basically the crypto you are using today has increased significantly, we know that in 2022-2023 small coins are not so valuable, and how does it feel today? Is there a little regret or do you not care because the money you lose in gambling is a necessity for you, so you don't care about the crypto you have lost in gambling for the past two years?
Where the money came from is all I care about, your long-term hold portfolio should be different from the crypto wallet you use for spending, if you are in this situation of regretting how many coins you use at a casino then you don't know what you are doing.

A certain percentage is what's recommendable for gambling, even if you have lost the percentage over some time why should this hurt you? I think that the hurt belongs to those who risk everything they have on gambling, it's not for those responsible gamblers out here.

If you risk what you can only afford to lose on gambling, there won't be any regrets, and also gambling shouldn't stop you from having your long-term portfolio, you should be up with your crypto portfolio right now, because almost every digital currencies are doing so well already.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Why beginners must consider burner wallet on: March 13, 2024, 06:42:38 AM
I believe that many newbies that are coming into crypto today are not all well funded, many can't afford to DCA into any crypto projects, and they are left with a choice to hunt for free tokens through testnet tasks and airdrops, I started this way too and damn, it was a great time to be alive in 2017.

If you are new to crypto and airdrops and testnet are a must for you, please consider a burner wallet, or name it anything you want, e.g spare wallet, trash wallet etc.

This wallet must be use as your shield on the battle field, whenever you plan to join some tasks online, claim tokens or use a new Dex, it's smarter to consider using your burner wallet, whatever will happen happens to the burner wallet.

Someone very close to me got his wallet drained because of an NFT mint, the mistake he made was using his main wallet to do the minting, main wallets are meant to stay offline, even if you have to sell your coins in your main wallet I recommend moving some part into a burner wallet first and use the burner wallet to connect to the likes of PancakeSwap and Uniswap, today we have so many Dexes, just to be safe its better to go this route.

Let your burner wallet do the trades, the mint, and the free claims for you, this simply keeps you a step away from losing the digital assets in your main wallet.
