201  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet suspended my account on: August 12, 2023, 10:25:49 PM

Freewallet is a custodial wallet, it's not your coins, it's theirs, and since you do not have power over it, only prayer could help you here my friend.

Thats true but it's not the biggest Freewallet issue. Main problem is that just block customers with all their coins and tokens. Not all custodial wallets are making such things.
202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Petition to investigate Freewallet org scam on: August 11, 2023, 09:19:51 PM
That's just a first step.
Even if the investigation won't be succesful now, we'll make new reports and another actions.
It's a great thing that there are places where you can leave a review about scammers from Freewallet. But it's not enough to stop them=(
203  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Petition to investigate Freewallet org scam on: August 10, 2023, 06:30:24 PM
Does the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau even care about petitions? They should investigate crimes, not popularity.

--Knight Hider

I've made an official report to the NFIB.
But the queston is. If it will be just mine report, some officer may take a look on it and say like "well I don't know if this guy's telling the truth, maybe it was just sort of technical issue". If the same officer will see a petition signed by 100-1000-10000 people, he 'll probably be more "attentive" cause nobody wants to be accusated in non-investigating crime. So I am sure tht petiton will help. But only if more people will sign it. I think 1000 would be an otimal number, and actually looks like there were even more victims!
204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ⚠️ Freewallet: the scam project that threatens thousands of customers on: August 10, 2023, 06:24:08 PM
I am currently in contact with them since somehow 160 MATIC got "lost" but I need to say I have used them for 3 years without  any issues sor far. I will keep you updated.

I sincerely wish you to get your coins back. But I guess that the opportunity to use their wallet and not to lose assets is something about good luck, but not a usual thing. If they would steal all money by all users, they would quickly get imprisoned.
Instead their "partial scam" allows to act like a usual service.

It's like their customers "reviews": you see someone who says "great wallet, i reccomend it" and you see someone telling that he got scammed. And you are like "Well if they would be a scammers there would be no good reviews, so maybe it's just an occasion"

Please give me advice on how to act in that situation. I am ready to invest money in that case in order to make their lives harder. Can you propose a legitimate law firm that can take care of that situation? They also plan to make a website about their scam activities. I appreciate your help and advice.

208  Economy / Scam Accusations / Petition to investigate Freewallet org scam on: August 04, 2023, 10:14:25 PM
Hi everyone!
On this forum there are lots of posts about Freewallet org, which is often called as a great SCAM project.

Several days ago, on 08/02/2023 I made an official crime report to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (UK authority which investigates online scam and fraud crimes). My report was registrated by number NFRC230806087223.

I created online petition with an appeal to the NFIB to investigate the fraudulent activities of Freewallet owners

It is available here: https://chng.it/JVYrmzzHGK

I ask everyone to sign this petition! It will take no more then 3-5 minutes but in may be significant to stop Freewallet scammers!

The full text of petition:

Freewallet.org is a site created by scammers to steal digital money from customer accounts. The site's owners call their product a cryptocurrency wallet, but it's actually an app that takes victims' assets and blocks their accounts.

According to some reports, the owners of Freewallet org are residents of the United Kingdom Dmitrey Gunyashov and Alexey Gunyashov and a guy from Russia named Vasilli Meschyerokov. Some witnesses also mention Andrey Savchenko as one of the investors. (source: https://freewalletscam.boards.net/thread/2/freewallet-administration-stole-500-000)

How the fraudulent site Freewallet org works:
  • The victim creates a wallet to receive and send cryptocurrency through the Freewallet app.
As soon as a large transfer is received on the account, the site administration transfers coins to someone else's address.
If the user makes a claim, he is told that he himself sent the money by mistake to the wrong wallet, and the transfer cannot be returned.
If the client deposits a large amount, the administration blocks the account under the pretext of verification.
During the verification process, the administration ignores requests and submitted documents, constantly sends new requests.
A detailed description of Freewallet fraud methods can be found at the links:

https://freewalletscam.com/freewallet-app-reviews-is-it-safe-and-legit/
https://freewalletscam.boards.net/thread/7/freewallet-stole-cancer-patients-savings

...and on many other sites and forums! Freewallet scammers stole more than $8,000,000 of savings from thousands of victims. Among the victims there are people who collected this money for cancer treatment or made a transfer to celebrate their daughter's birthday.

We ask you to sign this petition to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. On August 2, 2023, we submitted a formal request to this authority to conduct an investigation. The crime report is registered under the number NFRC230806087223. Since the owners of the Freewallet site may reside in the United Kingdom, this crime is under the jurisdiction of law enforcement in the United Kingdom and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau.

Some of the victims may also be residents of the UK. Some - live in other countries. According to sections 1, 2 Fraud Act 2006, a person is guilty of fraud if he is in breach of any of the sections listed in subsection (2) (which provide for different ways of committing the offence).A person is in breach of this section if he— dishonestly makes a false representation. Freewallet.org owners commited false representation of a possibillity of cryptocurrency payments and then appropriated their victims digital asssets. According to this, we ask you to sign this petition and we ask NFIB to investigate and bring the founders of the fraudulent Freewallet project to justice!

209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 30, 2023, 09:17:17 PM
Personally I always stake at the beginning of the year and withdraw in July so I can go on vacation with some extra money.

Didn't you ever lose those "extra money" because the price of staked coins just fell?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 29, 2023, 09:39:56 PM
According to my experience is that anyone who wants to stake there fund so first they choose a strong and potential project and check there next move some time people stake there fund and they will loss because a price dump hardly..

Exactly, especially if you choose something with potential profit over 100% per year. It's probably either a scam or some sort of one-day token with so high volatility that you can lose everything.
211  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet suspended my account on: July 29, 2023, 08:08:29 AM
I never transfer more then $1000 to any crypto wallet. Well the non castodial once are more safe but I no nothing about coding so cant check their codes for any unsecure monents.
But any custodial one may be a scam.
If we talk about freewallet it's 100% scam:

Cold storage means they are storing the keys physically or digitally on machines that are not connected to the internet.

Exactly. But if you keep something away from the internet then how can you use it in the online service. It's just a lie from freewallet scammers
214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid and identify scams? on: July 28, 2023, 02:03:51 PM
If we talk about investing, I would never invest a dollar to any project, if I dont understand its way of earning money. For example if someone wants to open his own restaurant, I understand - that he'll prepare food and sell it. If some investment prospects talks about "an outstanding way to gain profit because of a unique blockchain technology that will change the web 2.0" - I bet it's probably a scam.
Other useful thing is to check legal status of the beneficiar. For example I know rather big cryptoprojects that dont have any legal business which would be officially registrated. How can I trust anyone who doesn't want to show his real name?
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 28, 2023, 01:57:23 PM
My opinion is "No". You shouldnt stake. Landing might be a nice investment, but I mean stablecoins or some well known currencies like BTC, ETH, XRP or TRX. Well, landing USDT for 2-3% won't give you a big profit. But you get USDT, which is almost equal to $. There is no reason to get 1234550000% yearly from some token if its token price will fall to 0 Roll Eyes.

Can we conclude that you (n1k_lev) didn't make this transaction but Freewallet did?

I'm not the topicstarter, so can't be sure. But I've met some info that freewallet often moves coins to something they call "cold wallet". It sounds incredibly weard since cold storage means no internet connection. And if some storage is not connected to the internet, then how can you withdraw your coins any time you wish so?
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TRONLINK_WALLET IS FREEZED on: July 27, 2023, 01:54:43 PM
Using TronLink to receive usdt (trc20). So just wondering someone to explain how did this situation happen and whether it was solved?

Never used such dangerous wallet and wouldn't reccomend anyone to do so!
https://freewalletscam.org/ar2.html

It looks like they just steal coins and act like they are just following their own KYC procedure Grin Grin Grin
As a lawyer I can say, that if I would decide to become a scammer, I would do same thing. Like you like in the terms of service that you can block anyone for KYC. And the KYC may last foerver. And then good luck to try to get your money back.

well, no one thought Shiba or Pepe would go over 1B but here we are.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

I guess that's a typical survival bias. There were thousands of coins that got to 0 and only less then a dozen - that got over 1 mln.
220  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you deal with mental stress? on: July 26, 2023, 03:28:08 PM
I usually... just do nothing... Like nothing at all. Stress is normal if you ar alive. Anything good or bad won't last forever. Just do what you do and wait till there will be some time to slow down and chill=)
