I think some sense of openness towards other projects can't hurt. That doesn't mean anyone should shift their BTC holdings into some alternative cryptocurrency, but absorbing new developments and understanding potential future technology has never done anything bad to anyone. If you are talking about all those ICOs that were intrinsically worthless, then I agree. But in general I like to read up on new stuff that I find interesting and if there is really some available cash, I wouldn't mind investing some if a project gets the basics right and has some innovative technology to offer. With the basics I mean not some hot air white paper, but maybe some prototyping that already makes sense and is practically useable. No, you don't sound too dramatic at all and I share your point of view. Commercial interests are creeping into the tiniest holes of authenticity that are left in sports. Whether it is sports betting / gambling or bribery where to host the next big event or buying and selling players with hidden shell companies, whatever happens in the business is related to becoming rich and not so much about becoming successful as a sportsman or as someone who manages sportsmen. The involvement of the media reached a whole new level, rumors are intentionally spread via social media and there are many more examples that fit into this point of view.

Atletico Madrid is doing what every club would be doing when they are about to sell a player that they bought in the past for far over 100 million. It is normal that they are now trying to talk the price up and say that they won't sell him below this number or that number. It is also part of the sales strategy when Simeone now out of a sudden says how much he likes Joao Felix. This is so obvious, but when they get a decent offer they will sell him.

But are any of those several reasons known? That would be a horror scenario for everyone who wants to see Mbappe finally join a renowned club. It is amazing to see him play for his country and also to see him play in the Champions League against the favorite teams, but when he plays against other teams from France it is not as much fun as it is when he plays on the highest level most of the time. 

Yes, however, what Real Madrid needs is not a striker that is made better by the Real Madrid team, but vice versa. They need a striker who makes the team better. I can't think of a striker who would actually play worse or score less in a team like Real Madrid when he isn't completely stupid. Sometimes there is no chemistry between a player and a team, but in general strikers score more in better teams as better teams score more.

The number of goals he scored was alright and there is no point in reducing his performance in any way, but don't forget where he signed a contract.

Scoring goals is of course much harder with weaker teams, but at the same time nobody can tell for sure whether he is a striker who can play on the notorious Real Madrid level. It is possible to see the potential, but it is not possible to predict how far he can make it within a world class team.

This is interesting as I wasn't aware of that in the slightest. Now that you posted this I realize that I couldn't even have given an answer if someone asked me about the former clubs of Veratti. He has played there for 11 seasons now. Are the rumors that he has been confronted with lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia now a thing of the past? This could be a reason for him to not go to Saudi Arabia yet but instead try something else in his career. Staying at the same club for over a decade is rare.

There was a first rumor a while ago about Veratti leaving PSG and being in contact with one of the Saudi clubs. His salary isn't that high at the moment and for Al-Hilal this is mostly one of the cheaper transfers, but still a good one as he brings some quality to the team.

Yes correct, but I wasn't talking so much about Neymar's performances and his contributions to the team. His whole transfer to PSG was more of a promotion and while I agree with you that as a player he didn't pay back the money that was paid for him, he attracted a lot fans from around the world to follow PSG. He was more of an attraction than a valuable contributor to the team's success. If now thee names like Neymar, Messi and Mbappe leave the club, that represents a significant caesura in the most recent history of the club.

And not to forget that there still hasn't been a trustworthy and public statement if Neymar wants to stay or not. He has a contract but everything can change quickly and that would be like an earthquake for PSG if they lose their three most popular players all within a few weeks. They can't fill those gaps with equal players and it will be a new start for PSG, but will they still call the win of the Champions League the main goal? If they do it, who are the players they want to win that trophy with?

They have already performed much better than Real Madrid last season and if they didn't lose 3 out of their last 5 games, they could have finished the season with close to 100 points (97 to be exact). If they can play another season with close to 100 points, Real Madrid has to change and do a lot to compete with Barcelona. I doubt that Barcelona is ready yet to compete in the Champions League, but it could be enough again for La Liga.

Mbappe already said that he is not going to extend the contract if it is true that he sent this letter to the club bosses. What is more exciting is who else could try to get him. From Europe there are actually two clubs and that is Manchester City and Real Madrid or which other club do you think could do it? It has to be a big name and they have to have a lot of money. Mbappe wouldn't go to Newcastle. But I can't think of any other club that would be willing to pay 150 million and also a salary of 30 million net or much more than that. Haaland and Mbabbe on the same team would also be one of the strongest that the sport has seen.

Just looking at the news and the numbers that have been reported by the media, I would also think that going to Saudi Arabia and earning almost a billion in two years should have been quite convincing even for Messi But there may be so many confidential agreements that will never surface in the media that any speculation will remain speculation. There could be agreements in place for the time after his MLS activity or there may be major deals with further investors because we should not forget that the World Cup in the US is around the corner. I know the interview when he said that he could have done this or that when it was about the money for him, but I still think it is about the money for him and he is earning well regardless of whether he goes to Saudi Arabia now or to the MLS. Miami has been working on a deal for a very long time and they knew that they can't get Messi with 50 million only and I doubt that it would only be 50 million while he is offered ten times as much elsewhere.
