201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: June 22, 2019, 12:11:19 AM
Will it be considered an altcoin or its own distinct asset? Regardless, it is well hyped and will draw valuable attention to the existing cryptocurrency market along with all the exposure gained recently with other major brands joining the party and will also hopefully make these types of technologies more attractive and user friendly for everyone to benefit from
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is a threat to the crypto space on: June 21, 2019, 01:52:57 AM
You are right because too much dominance can eventually lead to a monopoly, however, there are some constructive aspects of this scenario that can be beneficial to the industry such as helping IEOs gain further popularity, providing trading options with less restrictions than more regulated exchanges in different regions and decentralized platforms
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass Adoption = Instant mobile transactions on: June 21, 2019, 12:50:16 AM
Quick and simple payment transactions are on the horizon with Facebook's upcoming stablecoin project GlobalCoin which should remove some of the usability obstacles faced by cryptocurrencies and create new use cases that can advance the adoption of these types of technologies and support by mobile manufacturers like Samsung, HTC and in future possibly Apple too will increase their proliferation worldwide exponentially
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: June 20, 2019, 01:09:17 AM
Crowdfunding is slowly transitioning from the ICO model to the IEO format because there's less risks for investors, especially if the launchpads hosting they have a good reputation of being reliable and secure, and these assurances combined with better quality products and more reasonable fundraising caps can improve the potential returns investors can achieve
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Would Really Buy Facebook Coin? on: June 19, 2019, 12:15:57 AM
Facebook's cryptocurrency is reported to be a stablecoin which will be used for online payments within its own platform for potential uses like user-to-user transfers, marketplace purchases, incentives, etc. and it's not going to be an asset designed for investment like Bitcoin which will provide a decentralized store of value and is widely considered to be a digital version of gold
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So when are you buying?? on: June 18, 2019, 11:27:05 PM
A great time to purchase alternative assets is when they dip in value relative to the asset they are pegged to which in most instances is Bitcoin and if you wait patiently for this to occur, you can generally pick up some bargains, especially if the leading asset extends its dominance further just make sure you focus primarily on top ranked assets
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADE PRINCIPLE. on: June 16, 2019, 11:24:07 PM
The main distinction here is trading vs holding, and if you're the type of investor who doesn't want the hassles of trading for smaller profits and the risks associated with using exchange platforms that may or may not be transparent or secure then you can benefit just as greatly in the long run from holding and being patient and waiting for quality projects to mature and achieve full value
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance to Reportedly Introduce Its Own Stablecoins ‘Within Two Months’ on: June 16, 2019, 10:56:39 PM
Exchanges are certainly jumping on the bandwagon now with the majority of the major trading platforms proposing to develop their own blockchains, stablecoins, and launchpads which will only benefit them in the long run if the market sees exponential growth from this year onwards and this could happen if other supporting factors contribute to adoption such as major brands presenting more appealing use cases which will attract more users and increase adoption
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will the bull market come? on: June 16, 2019, 12:38:35 AM
There's no telling when the bull market will arrive, but some analysts suggest it'll occur once the overall market value surpasses that of the beginning of the bear market which is close to occurring, however, sentiment appears to be strong and considering most dips have been quickly brought up so far it's quite likely that the market will remain well supported for now and improve progressively should cryptocurrencies gain more media attention and regulatory clarity
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is not for crypto startups on: June 15, 2019, 01:36:02 AM
IEOs are a useful way for startups to raise capital for their venture and the requirements for major launch pads generally ensures they provide a quality product with a unique innovation and real world applications and professional marketing, and new platforms like Tokinex don't require any hosting fees for these endeavors which will likely produce better results for this crowdfunding model
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any promising STO that you know of? on: June 15, 2019, 12:46:37 AM
STOs have only just begun to arrive and are not fully developed yet as a crowd funding model because regulation is still being clarified in many regions for these types of offerings, however, any startup that has registered with the SEC and is using a compliant exchange to host its crowdsale and provides a detailed prospectus should be worth evaluating
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened with telegram TON ICO ?? on: June 15, 2019, 12:18:12 AM
Telegram's new blockchain based network is reportedly due to be released in Q3 of this year and it should further the use cases for cryptocurrency as a means of payment within its app and provide developers with an easy to use programming language, yet it still remains to be seen what the exhorbitant funding it acquired will be used for beyond the initial development and marketing of the platform itself
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate? on: June 12, 2019, 12:14:30 AM
IEOs are the next generation of crowd funding model and are starting to become more popular as investors look for new opportunities to invest their capital and are more concerned about the legitimacy of the startups they are investing in and this new solution promises to deliver better quality offerings, but you should always do your own due diligence and only use the most reputable launch pads
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum goes to the top! on: June 11, 2019, 11:39:07 PM
You can never go wrong with safer choices like Bitcoin or Ethereum especially if you want lower risk options that are easier to manage and these should comprise the largest portion of any balanced portfolio that'll likely perform well over the coming year into the next so make sure you keep some of these two assets in your holdings to get the full benefit from your investments
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ehtereum is scalable !!! on: June 11, 2019, 12:30:33 AM
Ethereum is definitely scalable there is no doubt about that and the next major update scheduled for later this year will pave the way for Ethereum 2.0 along with the arrival of professional investment products which will help add additional value and greatly increase its appeal to institutions and enterprises
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Can $50 Million From Banks Add To The Crypto Industry? on: June 11, 2019, 12:02:36 AM
Banks investing in block chain technology for their own unique use cases won't really do much for the cryptocurrency industry, but CBDC's will have an impact on how the market is structured in the future if they do eventually choose to issue their own digital currencies and this will likely further increase the adoption of these types of technologies
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: June 08, 2019, 12:38:18 AM
ICOs are becoming outdated as a crowdfunding solution due to far too many unreliable offerings that simply didn't deliver on expectations and these are being superseded by IEOs which have the potential to offer better quality protocols and apps, but it would be best to ensure these have a realistically achievable roadmap for adoption and focus on which launchpads have the best proven track record and highest quality standards if you're seeking to invest in these types of opportunities
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: June 06, 2019, 11:57:28 PM
Airdrops are ideal for anyone who is interested in participating in a free giveaway and some only require you to complete very basic tasks to receive a reward, and these promotions are designed to help a startup expand its initial customer base, social media presence and token distribution
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: June 06, 2019, 11:20:41 PM
If you received tokens from a bounty campaign and aren't sure what to do with them you could liquidate a percentage if they are fetching a decent price on a secondary market and diversify into higher ranked and more established assets that have better longevity, but it's always ideal to keep a small portion of the reward so you don't miss out in case it appreciates down the track provided it's a good quality startup
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1-Month Investment: ETH? BCH? on: June 06, 2019, 01:19:26 AM
Both assets are good quality and have the potential to appreciate if the market continues its uptrend, however, Ethereum may have more appeal from a medium term perspective considering the strong fundamentals and promising developments coming up regardless of its sluggish performance of late and there's not telling how Bitcoin Cash's halving will effect the value yet
