201  Economy / Securities / Re: Neo & Bee talk (spam free thread) on: March 10, 2015, 12:52:02 PM
looking at his facebook (on suprisingly minimal privacy settings) and looking at his self righteous posting on reddit - it's just hillarious that no one noticed what a lame duck this guy was earlier.

cyprus idealism fooled everyone, what a massive joke. The only thing left to do is smile, or kill the cunt. But why kill him when you only have yourself to blame? Smiley

this neo bee attempt at being a 2 bit ceo will probably be Danny's greatest achievement, it's all down hill from here. He's never going to get near a business ever again in his life, and even if he does, well good luck to anyone involved because he's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's lacking self awareness and is totally irresponsible... I'd be suprised if he can provide for his wife and daughter in the long run, let alone tie his own shoelaces.

Personally I'll give him a pat on the back and a sympathetic look, because while those who invested may have actually learned a lesson, he clearly has not  Wink

Are you aware of his doings in the UK, before moving to Cyprus?

I would not say that Neo&Bee was "an attempt to be a 2 bit CEO", but rather a big step up in his real "career".

I suppose that he is neither in the UK nor in Cyprus.  Who knows what will be his next step.  He may not even have to change his name.  If Neo&Bee investors did not think of checking his past before giving him their money, why would the next crowd do it?
You know what's hilarious? You could say all the same things about the latest financial crisis, consumers took out loans they couldn't afford because they just believed what they were told and didn't exercise due diligence.
Ratings agencies - the same.
Investors - the same.
What's hilarious to me is how exactly the same shit happens in the bitcoin world, it's just a smaller world that's all.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2015, 12:46:09 PM
Seems it will definitely cross $300 quite soon.  Looking pretty strong right now, with the FINRA approval of a BTC fund and some impending good news.
Very subjective you just keep re-labeling waves until the market finally reverses then "there you go! that was wave 5, see!"
203  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: March 10, 2015, 10:31:45 AM
Price crashing hard on Havelock... Do you think it's (Chinese!?) people knowing something we don't know yet or just the slowly onsetting realization that this thing is over?
your BTC spent to BTC mined ratio remains proportionate, miners are currently worth 1/10th of the original cost. it's simple math, no one is going to pay the same price when they first came out b/c the difficulty has increased 10x since then.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] The Epic 420 Alliance Joint Force - United we stand! on: March 09, 2015, 10:23:13 PM
All cryptojoints are the same things as kind bud, dro, headies, dank or whatever you want to call it, its all just slang. Regs seems to be pretty common-place all over, that and "brick".
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mintcoin next rise prediction on: March 09, 2015, 10:12:39 PM
As for the long-term pattern, C'est ici, keep holding to the coins, alts are usually and more than up each time btc tanks.

207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin surpass all previous tests of probability? on: March 09, 2015, 09:59:15 PM

As a wild guess I would think the calculations done at the Large Hadron Collider may be the greatest tests of extreme theoretical probability to date.
It's Hidden Variable Theory. Existence of hidden variables would allow correlations between measurements in quantum entanglement, that would allow instantaneous communication by modulating the detectors. There are experiments that have been done showing that if hidden variables exist, they must be nonlocal. What that means is that either there is inherent randomness or faster-than-light communication.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the purpose of creating a new wallet for, why not use just 1? on: March 09, 2015, 09:48:33 PM
Sounds like your PC wallet is the only one you have control over. Coinbase controls all the addresses in their wallet. When you send bitcoins, it's the recipient that specifies the address to use for the transaction. So your only concern is for your PC wallet receiving address.. that you give to folks send bitcoin to you. And yes, you should provide a new address each time for those transactions.
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Damn trading bots on: March 09, 2015, 09:23:13 PM
Bots don't necessarily make the market any less efficient though. Albeit a bit of a pain to easily analyze whats going on with all the random transactions.

True enough but it does tend to create a lot of bloat
Just a bunch of the same order at tiny amounts filling the orderbook and what not
I've played with a micro roll bot in php; basically it makes orders on both sides looking for small profits per trade. It's not good when the market is moving too quickly, but does well when there's a trend with less extreme fluctuations.
210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallets and Withdrawing to Bank Account on: March 09, 2015, 09:20:56 PM
Really simple question...

Whats the best way to store your bit coin while mining and then withdrawing them to your bank account for cold hard cash?

Thanks
An exchange.  coinbase.com is the most popular one in the US... circle.com is another... localbitcoins.com can also work...
Heard things from people putting their CCs on coinbase. Lots of extra charge's and/or double or triple charging an order from personal friends, thats why I only used them as a bank and would never hook a CC or bank info up.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage trading on BTC.sx on: March 09, 2015, 09:19:23 PM
Not suggesting, leverage badly lagging, it's the worst trading engine, i've seen, no way to instill confidence in a platform - 'I don't like what you say about us so I'm closing your account and stealing all your money' - good luck getting any future business with an attitude like that.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 09, 2015, 09:13:06 PM
US will be raising interest rates this next year because its economy is doing so well, they don't have any new stimulus planned and no new money being printed gives people the impression that our currency is stable. Because of this, people will think the US dollar is more stable than the Euro which is why the dollar is gaining value over the Euro.
213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any Recommended BTC Sales Services? on: March 09, 2015, 08:58:35 PM
Link your bank account to Coinbase, then buy your coins that way. It takes a few days for ACH to do the transfer, but you get your coins at whatever price they were at when you hit 'buy' (which can be good or bad depending how the market moves). Coinbase also works pretty well as a hosted wallet (if you trust them at least).
214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A way to make a good profit in this bear market on: March 09, 2015, 08:53:23 PM
I remember about six months ago I was playing around with Bongacams. Tongue They take bitcoin, but they manually update price, on what basis, I'm not sure. I took a hefty advantage of it on one occasion.
Huh? They resell of some portal who does do serious business, they have no marge and need to act like this to prevent they're not go broke. These kind of cam sites have 6 months and they are crashed and burned already. Seen too many of these wannabee`s.
215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is currency exchange like this legal? on: March 09, 2015, 08:48:06 PM
You can do anything you want as long as its not on the list of explicitly illegal things, its automatically presumed legal. But now its different because bitcoin has no legal precedent, it is presumed ILLEGAL until decided otherwise. Anything not pre-approved is illegal by default. This is a very dangerous path we're heading down.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: Machines and money on: March 09, 2015, 08:41:49 PM
Capitalism is a double edged sword. The risk of the profit motive drawing companies to do terrible things, endangering society in the long term, is very real, both environmentally and technologically. Essentially companies would justify mass surveillance, militarism, or pervasive AI simply because it is lucrative. Today, too many powerful corporations conflate what is lucrative, with what is practical for society.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Is Bitcoin for EVERYONE or just a new ELITE? Vote! on: March 09, 2015, 08:23:06 PM
Having bitcoins offshore, secret and unreachable will cause unintelligent people to sell for a loss, thus making the new wealthy elite the master intelligence race. I hope in 10 years all today posters if not handing all money over to the shorters can be considered as elite.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any good bitcoin debit card? on: March 09, 2015, 08:12:28 PM
ANX of course. Automatically sells exactly enough bitcoins to cover my purchase whenever I make a purchase in dollars (or any other fiat currency). Used pretty much everywhere at ATMs and many large retailers worldwide.
219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage on: March 09, 2015, 08:03:40 PM
Sometimes the BTC/USD rate differ a lot from an exchange to another, can be several USD. If I have an account in bitfinex, can I transfer the coins to kraken and sell them there ? For example if the rate is 220 $ in bitfinex and 225 $ in kraken.

That would make sense if the price difference is significantly large.

For smaller price differences, you would actually lose trying to arbitrage. The reason being the trading fees on exchanges, withdrawal/deposit fees etc.

And there is no guarantee the price will stick to it by the time you transfer your coins from one exchange to another.

That's exactly how quick money are being made. I'm sure some people are arbitraging right now, but this boils down to liquidity and when the difference is somewhere in the range between $3-5 it's difficult to tell what will be worth it.
220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 50K Silk road coins to be auctioned 5 March. on: March 09, 2015, 07:57:03 PM
Is the auction running right now or finished  Huh i was waiting a huge price drop after the auction , like the last one price drop to 190 $
and now still didn't return to 350  Undecided .

There is no reason for the price to collapse. just rumors and fear from people trying to incite panic. The actual buyers of the auction bitcoins will use them to start Bitcoin companies and drive prices even higher.
Yes, hopefully it will help the price to get over 50 and 61 fibonacci retracement levels. That last green candle was pretty nice.
