201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Reasons why IEO is better than ICO on: June 27, 2019, 06:55:50 PM
There are many reasons why people do not do ICO now, but IEO, but the most important reason is that now you can make good money on IEO, and in ICO it is very difficult to earn
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: June 24, 2019, 06:05:18 PM
Some altcoins are really useless, but there are also working and actual coins in which a lot of people invest, but there are much more non-working projects
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge coin is good or bad for investment ? on: June 23, 2019, 11:31:49 AM
For me, investing in a Doge coin is a good investment. Sometimes, when I see that this coin is going to grow, I invest a little bit in it myself, because it can show a couple of X's in time.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BNB beat Ethereum? on: June 22, 2019, 06:26:26 PM
These two are potential altcoins good to hold for long term, but I don't think BNB can beat ethereum because many people support ethereum.
I agree that the ETH gap from BNB is too big and in a short time BNB will not reduce the gap, perhaps in the future ETH will be won by someone, but not now
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: June 22, 2019, 06:24:24 PM
Personally for me the safest purse in cryptocurrency is a hardware purse, although hardware purses are not cheap, but we are talking about the safety of their funds.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do investors think about ICO? on: June 22, 2019, 06:22:22 PM
Now investors are still very suspicious of ICO projects, but people have already started to return and invest in ICO projects
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2019, 06:20:05 PM
Bitcoin's grown up a lot today. I don't think it's worth selling altcoins now, because together with Bitcoin, altcoins has started to grow.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we should belive Crypto? on: June 22, 2019, 06:17:25 PM
I, as a crypto lover, of course fully supports the existence of cryptocurrency. I believe crypto can change my life and way of thinking. crypto makes me a lot of profit.
Those who deal with cryptocurrency, those people believe in cryptocurrency and its future, and this is the right decision, because without the trust of people there would be no cryptocurrency
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would you invest in IEO instead of ICO projects? on: June 21, 2019, 07:14:16 PM
I think that ICO at the moment begins to revive again. This proves the mass listing of new projects on the stock exchange. Bounty hunter stop swearing as awards are issued much more often.

Because new people and investors come to the market, so the ICO projects come to life, but so far not enough to start actively participating in ICO again, it is better to choose IEO projects
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which countries are more friendlier to crypto? on: June 21, 2019, 07:12:03 PM
My personal opinion is that the most friendly countries to the cryptocurrency are China, Japan and the United States, despite many prohibitions.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are losing confident and interest in altcoins on: June 21, 2019, 07:09:44 PM
People lose confidence in altcoins because they don't grow for a long time, and if they do, it's very weak, the situation will change for the better in the future
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: June 21, 2019, 07:07:33 PM

Mining is now an industry. You can't just mine with a pair of your spare GPU let alone your i3 processor (Excluding the useless coins, of course).
So, it would be better just to buy and trade. Even for new coins, it could be beneficial if you strike a deal with the miner before the coins get listed in an exchange.

You right that time of mining with single GPU\CPU  is over. But mining with GPU farms or several ASICs is accessable for practically everybody. If you can solve noise and heat issues of mining machine you do not need to be a corporation you can be involved in mining
It is much easier to start buying coins than to buy, install and start mining coins, as it is much easier and more profitable to buy coins for me
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: June 20, 2019, 08:32:08 PM
I agree, there have been so many ico scams to date, it has even become a tradition and mushroomed in various countries and various sectors, I strongly condemn this incident
Nowadays there are a lot of crooks not only in cryptocurrency, but also in other spheres, because where there is money, there will always be crooks, and in cryptocurrency there will always be a lot of money
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to buy altcoins on: June 20, 2019, 08:30:00 PM
Before the altcoins begin to grow in price, you need to watch and buy them, because there will come a time when many coins will start to grow in price
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple Is Hated By Crypto Community? on: June 20, 2019, 08:25:49 PM
My version is such that a lot of people don't like XRP because this coin is used by banks all over the world, maybe I'm wrong
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: January 23, 2016, 10:44:25 PM
oh yeah, I would be developing if someone would pump the price, but I don't see it happening. For $30 a day hmm, not much interest here.

I might make that fork I keep talking about at some point though.

YES - please fork and let the miners decide which coin to mine.

You are obviously just reaping some idle infrastructure (or the proposed botnet, whatever).
So it is no surprise that you weigh 30$/day mining output against the cost of a full-time developer.

But your math is surprising. Because you (or someone) spend(s) at least 200 $/day;

If build new with _today's_ tech, cost-effective 4.4 PB storage alone will cost no less than 130k$.
Stretched to 2y this is ~178$/day.
It sucks at least 5 kW w/o A/C -> ~120 kWh/day, with a minimum of 0.08 $/kWh -> 10$/day power.
One cannot operate a 130kUSD infrastructure for 30$/day.

You're not the owner, as no sane owner has that rack idle and rents it for the naked energy costs
for the 11 months you're mining here.

Months ago you asked me wether I pay market rates for my 400TB setup; Yes I did. It was off-lease
stuff, hence I had higher energy costs. And exactly that led me to switch most of it off a few weeks ago.
I cannot afford this hobby any longer, unless I move stuff to some remote location in china where
the kWh is 0.03$. In most of Europe it's >>0.20$/kWh.

@devs
Is it possible to see where in the internets bitladens deadlines were injected ?
I traced all wallet connections a few months ago (quite interesting, companies like volumedrive.com),
but was unable to trace the origin of individual miners.

This (his) might be a very interesting or very badly organised employer/company.

@all
oh, and he is gone again since 13 hours ago.. his last stint lasted just under 8hrs.
perhaps stress-testing the diff algo by halving/doubling the network size in shrinking cycles..

Good point, but I only have 50% of the PBs in this network.
So, all the same I have to ask, how can the rest of the miners afford to keep mining at this price?

Yes, so 11 months ago you could turn a profit by mining this coin, now, not really. But I'm on it, I will come to the rescue with the fork. And I'll tell you this right now, it will be dual mined. As in, same plots for burst and *burst_fork*

@devs? what devs? you must mean me.
Yes it is possible to determine the IP I'm using to broadcast, however I can assure you this will not change anything.

just wanted to see if anybody missed me
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: January 12, 2016, 07:30:12 PM
Yes, i noticed there is a new self-moderated burst thread (thanks for the hint, missed that big upper case red letters) ...
Don't get me wrong, no offense, but i don't want to be 'moderated' and i don't think this thread will be locked.

Anyway ... lot of action in burst network ... over 10PB today https://bchain.info/BURST/graph/large, nice.

But i fear we have a Winner again, congratulations ...

This is just insane, someone missing a truckload of hard drives?!

I have 4.4PB so total network size is 8.8 PB actually.
No need to panic, in fact I welcome you guys to get more hashpower.
But, you will need to pump the price, there's no other way, miners need incentive.

I know, now you all expect a 51% attack as I promised, but for $40 extra a day, I couldn't care less. Maybe I'll do it for a day just as a proof of concept, but my point is: pump the price, so that more people can afford mining it, then I will no longer have 50%. If so, everybody involved in BURST will win.

Hello there. Which direction am I going? Kindly inform me. Because...

Reminds me of an old song from MOD -- Don't Feed the Trolls... errr, Bears.

If he's gonna troll, at least he should have the decency to do it proper English, as per forum rules Smiley
