201  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can I use Bitcoin in Iceland? on: September 01, 2015, 03:16:01 PM
Genesis Mining* (Correct me if I'm wrong about the name)
has released intel, pictures and videos inside of their mining facility in Iceland.
That, since Iceland is a developed country, I'd think that some sort of justice would notice the reveal and more would come out of it.
So, to be honest, who the hell is going to check on you? Unless you start making millions of Kroner, I don't think anyone in the justice system would really give two thoughts about it.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: litecoin should be mine or not? on: September 01, 2015, 03:05:11 PM
The price halved since the block halving.
Litecoin originally has it's own algorithm and hardware to exercise that algorithm.
You need to purchase two different devices to mine each individually.
Difficulty has stayed straight at ~40k so mining hasn't gotten easier with the $2 drop in price. So no, don't mine litecoin, unless something changes, either mining difficulty or the price has to raise.
203  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: cpu miner on raspberry pi bugging out bitcoincz on: September 01, 2015, 02:55:37 PM
That's because your raspberry pi is garbage.
You really shouldn't try mine a raspberry pi on SHA-256, (mining bitcoin)
There are machines for that, LITERALLY a billion times faster than a raspberry pi.
Try your PI out on Riecoin and see what hashrate that generates.
You simply mine bitcoin with an ASIC purpose made machine. A raspberry pi is to CONFIGURE a hardware miner and send hashes over your internet, not to actually mine!
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining question / Hashrate on: September 01, 2015, 01:23:16 PM
Some guy coded an FPGA to run X11 I believe, at a rate slightly faster than a GTX nVidia TITAN.
When the market gets bigger, I'm sure people will make new miners for different algos.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: $300 in the end of August on: September 01, 2015, 01:18:56 PM
FLOP! 230 bucks, 1st September 2015.
Just shows how much you can accurately predict anything that isn't solidly placed.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust the miners? on: September 01, 2015, 01:09:26 PM
The whole thing could go horribly wrong if it isn't thought through fully.
207  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: my Antminer s5 mining at 1554 HG/s unbelievable؟ on: September 01, 2015, 01:05:48 PM

Is it still going at 1500GH/s???
I'm interested. They might've added more chips than needed or in other words, you got lucky.
Are you overclocking it?? On purpose or not/is your miner automatically running it full speed?

Whoa

P.S. Add the image on the forum, people might think that's a bit shady.
208  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Frequency shift problem on: August 31, 2015, 08:18:07 PM
Okay, to be blatantly honest with you, don't phuck with stuff you don't fully understand.
Just Google some known working frequency to voltage ratios, feed them to the girl and she'll hash away.
Stay frosty, Griff.
209  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Frequency shift problem on: August 31, 2015, 08:12:27 PM
Well, to be blatantly obvious, don't phuck with stuff you don't understand fully.
Google some working S5 frequency to volt ratios to get you going again.
Stay frosty, Griff.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: At the botton of the window says "No source of blocks available". is normal? on: August 31, 2015, 08:08:29 PM
If this issue gets too extreme, manually add nodes.
Go to the top bar, find the help bar,  open the debug window, Google bitcoin active nodes and type "add node (IP address) add" Of course it might be your firewall. Just restart the client and wait a minute or five.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can i mine altcoin with a poor pc ? on: August 31, 2015, 12:57:58 PM
Not for profit, no.
Sell some lawn chairs and a table and get $400 to buy an antminer S5.
That my friend, will reap profit.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LGBTQoin (LGBTQ) [X11 - Pure PoW] on: August 30, 2015, 06:57:51 AM
Mining full speed on GCPool.
500LGBTQ already!
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative cryptocurrency wallets. on: August 29, 2015, 10:13:50 PM
Mycellium on the android seems like a safe bet.
I'm not too sure about PC versions of those.
214  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best bitcoin miners on: August 29, 2015, 10:09:24 PM
The best flat rate miner is on bitmain.
The Antminer S7 4.5+-TH/s of raw share raping power at 4kgs (8lbs).
You can earn 1 bitcoin a day with 1000TH/s so I wouldn't even consider that minerslab "device" to even exist out of a bitcoiner's wet dreams.
The S5+ does 4TH/s +- at about 4.3kgs(9lbs), so that's a thing if you have money to spend.

215  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Miners should donate to Nodes on: August 29, 2015, 09:59:43 PM
I'll toast to this, but only when the number of full nodes runs dangerously low.
Sure the number of nodes will spike, but really, do we need more right at this moment?
Every member and their computer is probably running a node at this point, even if they are declining it isn't a big problem right now.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Well, is it just me? Bitcoin XT on: August 29, 2015, 09:53:59 PM
Looking through my peers in bitcoin core's debug window and I've noticed that the core clients give me all the normal info...
IP, Client version, ping etc. I've found user on bitcoin XT and I'm not getting a ping count.
Bitcoin XT is infamous, is it just me that isn't getting the ping for XT clients or is something more... Disingenuous taking place?
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT2 proposed on: August 29, 2015, 09:50:23 PM
Budum tss.
XT is shady and infamous as tits.
I'll just avoid the bugger like the plague.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Offer 50 LTC on: August 29, 2015, 06:24:16 PM
Step 1: Get new computer, get new litecoin client+new wallet.
Step 2: Start litecoin client as it is.
Step 3: Wait for the sync.
Step 4: Send cash to new wallet.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / R.I.P old friend on: August 29, 2015, 06:22:22 PM
GeForce GTX 750 Ti.
A beautiful creature, a graphics card with more sentimental value than any other to me.
Many of you will remember this guy from january 2014 as an amazing miner.
I remember the old days.
So I can't use it anymore, so I decided to give it a good burial. One like no other.
I downloaded afterburner, replaced my new AMD R9 FuryX with her and core clocked it to maximum and memory clocked it to minimum.
Off it mined, for eight whole seconds my friends did she mine.
4Mh/s were her peak. Then the monitor blinked and died. I smelt fire, she had breathed her last and with the fan stopping spinning in the smoke.
Shit.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LGBTQoin (LGBTQ) [X11 - Pure PoW] on: August 29, 2015, 10:34:20 AM
It is a complicated name to get broad attention. By the way, what is the meaning of LGBTQ ?
LGBTQ=lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transexual, queer.
Also, I'm mining this now! (GCpool.)
