201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero wallet? on: January 13, 2017, 05:25:37 PM
cant he use the mymonero seed elsewhere? the wallet words to log into my monero derive the private keys, my monero do not store them themselves.

202  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitminer.io real or scam? on: January 13, 2017, 01:13:03 PM
i was tempted to send them the 1 BTC with zero fee, double spend it (have the double spend TX with a high fee ready to submit to double spend the inputs) and see if it gave me the full package without needing confirmations so i could siphon off as much as possible and return it to the investors evenly distributed by announcing it here... I hate ponzi scams and if there is a way to siphon the funds off to compensate investors, we should...
203  Economy / Service Discussion / Hashthepla.net - Hash the planet hosting, Legit? on: January 13, 2017, 11:47:01 AM
Is hash the planet a Legit hosting company? They seem it based on my research but am just double-checking with everyone on here before I pull the trigger!

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CoiniumServ - open source & high performance pooled mining server software on: January 12, 2017, 07:56:35 PM
I have been trying to start a litecoin pool with this...

I have sorted the backend, now i cannot for the life of me get the webserver to load. if i access it via localhost, i get just an error, if i try and access it externally, nothing. Once this is sorted i will have a functioning pool for LItecoin which i will ensure is stable before releasing...

This is my problem, showing what i get when i try and access on local host and what is in the console. Everything else seems to work including accepting of stratum connections and sending out work to miners.

Anyone who gives me a valid solution which fixes this will be tipped 1 LTC!

This is what I get, i am supposed to see the web front end. The default template which is what is specified to load in the config the folder looks a little bare... usually index.html would be there unless I am missing something about how this front end works...

If anyone could chime in with a solution they will get a 1 LTC tip from me!

211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: January 12, 2017, 09:08:32 AM
You need to watch some documentary about the living conditions and the quality of life of some of these Chinese laborers who work for some of the biggest manufacturing companies like Foxcon. They are literally enslaving their lives away for shit pay and detoriating health because they have no other choice to find a good job. I think it's the Chinese government to blame and not the normal people.

I agree, and consumers want things cheap, here, now. Instant gratification and then moan about conditions yet moan about prices of things going up... Personally i would happily go without the latest if i couldnt afford it due to workers getting paid more. I would be cautious moaning about the chinese, its cheap, fast consumers who helped perpetuate this.

Personally i see racism in this topic and i see endless negativity just because a country for once is more successful at handling something then they are... Go and build a big farm and generation plant if you want to compete. Moan about utilities, but don't protest prices. Moan about XYZ but do nothing about it. Endless moaning... moan moan moan, setting up a large farm is no mean feat and takes much work to maintain, so these large farms do have a lot of admin...

And who gives a monkeys if they are french? you must be british like myself??? I have travelled quite a bit and I have many good friends from china, nepal, etc...
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Who can push my low fee tx - will pay on: January 11, 2017, 06:13:36 PM
couldn't he double spend the transaction with a higher fee? I would be happy to push a signed double spend TX on my node with a higher fee if he can provide it
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I backup my bitcoin? How do you backup yours? on: January 11, 2017, 05:48:20 PM
I would move your coins ASAP to a hardware wallet. The link in my sig will take you to a place where you can buy these. Hardware wallets are MUCH MUCH more secure than an online wallet. All transaction signing happens in the device so it keeps your coins safe from hackers even on an infected machine. You generate a 24 word seed which you write down on paper, this will restore your wallet addresses and keys as they are derived from this seed.

The ledger HW1 is the cheapest at about £15 GBP, the Nano S allows multiple currencies and has a screen, £50.

Get a hardware wallet, no online or desktop wallet will be as secure. If you really don't want a hardware wallet, download electrum. Make an electrum 2FA wallet, and save the 2FA token and seed.

In normal use, this wallet requires 2 of 3 keys. Your system holds one, another is held at a trusted third party who signs the second on your behalf when you input your 2FA code on your phone. If you loose access to the google auth app and do not have the 2FA written down, the seed contains 2 of 3 keys and this can be used to restore access to your funds, but you must create another 2FA wallet to have trustedcoin again.

Hope this helps, get it out of your online wallet ASAP.

You can use ledger HW wallet on your phone with the ledger OTG USB adapter.

I find electrum 2FA wallets wont work on the mobile app, a normal electrum wallet allows you to import the same seed on both your phone and PC to streamline your access to your funds, this also allows you to have a 'backup' of your seed this way too.

bump, forgot to mention this PC includes a Xonar Essence STX sound card and Logitech speakers with subwoofer, and a desk is included if someone wishes to pick up from nottingham.

Total storage is 5TB if you add the 2TB and 3TB HDDs within it, not including the 256GB SSD.

I have used PsychoticBoy without a problem multiple times, once for a large transaction if you are willing to accept him for escrow. Or Phil if he can sign a message from one of the addresses he mined blocks with on CKPool which i can reference from the posts of the block solves posted by CK.

On a price offer, $375 USD Is as high as I would go, due to the low power efficiency for the hashrate compared to the S9.
