201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to invest in a couple alts.. on: March 21, 2019, 12:16:48 PM
in my experience it has never been a good idea to go long in any altcoin which is why i have never "invested" in any of them. i always stick to bitcoin when it comes to long term and then continue treating altcoins as short term potential trading tools to make a  quick profit during their pumps and then selling them before their dumps begin. that way i guarantee my profit while reducing the risks and also increasing my bitcoin wealth.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the requirements to have a successful ICO launch for project? on: March 21, 2019, 12:04:50 PM
to be in early 2017. that is literary the only way any ICO can succeed so they need a time machine because nowadays they are dead and people no longer pay them much attention so they don't invest in any and they automatically fail.
on top of that the newbies who had no idea what they were doing no longer exist in the market thanks to the 2018 dumps that scared them away so ICOs have no fresh blood to fool either.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next New Cryptocurrency on: March 21, 2019, 11:55:22 AM

Now that Facebook has announced that they will come out with their own cryptocurrency, which platform do you reckon will be next? I’ve heard rumours that it could be twitter.

I really hope not every platform brings out its own cryptocurrency. It is good for the worldwide acceptance of crypto general, but not every platform needs its own crypto currency. It would be much better if some platforms would agree on Bitcoin or another altcoin. That would simply be more practical and more user friendly. I don't need a different coin on every platform.  Smiley

i actually hope they do! the more of them out there the faster they will fail and that means this whole damaging fever of ICOs and centralized platform tokens with absolutely no usage can die faster so that we can put it behind us.
people always miss the damage of such things and what they are doing to this whole market and how they are postponing progress which is the worst thing that can happen to a new technology.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 icos on: March 21, 2019, 11:46:20 AM
Pay attention to the exchange Binance, Bittrix, Huobi, KuCoin, Bitmax, OKEx. These sites will soon hold ICO on their own platforms and if you have time to buy coins during one of the sales, it will allow you to earn. But as the example of Binance Launchpad shows, it is very difficult to get among the lucky ones.

interesting speculation but be very careful about this though. because what you are speculating is a big hyped up event and if it happens that means  a big hyped up pump in the said ICO which would be fake and consequently won't last long at all.
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptocurrency banks needed. on: March 17, 2019, 09:00:35 AM
This is the same with cryptocurrency. If something happens to the owner then funds should be left to loved ones not loss forever or sameone find to spend.

you shouldn't introduce a lot of complexity and lots of issues just because you want to solve something that can be solved in a much easier manner. for example in this case to add a bitcoin bank just to solve this (or similar things) is not a good idea simply because we already have simpler methods.

So there need to be away. Could be safe lockdown trusted box for wallet recovery seed. Which can be give to kids if something happen to owner.
you can already do this with regular banks you don't need a "bitcoin bank" there are lots of them that offer safety deposit boxes where you can store your private keys or seed phrases that you write on a piece of paper or on a metal!
you can also use the multi signature features of bitcoin to share the ownership of funds with others like your wife.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ASK- Which tokens to buy if you are a beginner/noobies/baby/beansprout? on: March 17, 2019, 08:52:35 AM
wanting to buy tokens and altcoins in general as a beginner/newbie is like wanting to participate in Olympics swimming team and compete with them while you don't even know how to swim! obviously you will drown just as you will metaphorically "drown" in the altcoin market if you jump in like that.

what you need to do is first start trading bitcoin and learn how things work in a more logical market with very little manipulation then start analyzing the altcoin market and see the level of manipulation in there. and after at least a couple of months of testing the waters you can go in and try your luck with the heavily manipulated tokens.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoboWallet - cloud wallet with yearly interest thanks to BitGrow on: March 17, 2019, 08:43:11 AM
in my experience things like this end very badly sooner or later because services such as these turn into ponzi schemes and that is only if they aren't already such a scam in disguise!
this particular service to me looks more like a new version of the cloud mining services that has been around for a long time and have been scamming people for just as long.

considering there ins't much of a background to this thing i would stay away from it and be very cautious about trusting anything similar with my money.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, STO, and now IEO,.. a little later XYZ and they are all the same! on: March 17, 2019, 08:16:25 AM
nowadays we are witnessing the death of "raising funds with offering coins" which is known as ICOs but it seems like they keep trying to come up with different names for the same thing to try and keep it going a little longer. it was first STOs which failed and now it is IEOs which are even worst than anything they have done before because they are centralizing it to exchanges which are already shady and unsafe.

how much longer do you think this is going to last?
Yes, they all look alike, but their names are different. These coin offerings continue until the fault is found, then replaced by another. IEOs have also become a trend because of profitability. And when it can not provide profit anymore, it will end.

that bold part is in my opinion the biggest problem with the cryptocurrency market!

people have been programmed to want profit and care about nothing else because of their greed and that has opened up a lot of manipulation in the market and a lot of fraud.
the worst part is the result of all this, which is currently keeping the "technology" from advancing. we are stuck in a loop repeating the same projects by copying the same crap with a new name and then pump it to the moon and people are happy about it!
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to get investment? on: March 17, 2019, 08:07:57 AM
How much money is needed to create a high-quality crypto product?

it completely depends on the "product" that you have in mind. it can be from a couple of hundred bucks to millions of dollars.

so if you actually have an idea (not just asking random questions) then you have to first think it through and then put it on paper. then do something like patenting to protect your intellectual property (only if you want to go that way) then you can publicly introduce your idea and ask for investors in your product and raise money that way.

of course this is only if you want to be honest. there are scammy ways of raising money and delivering nothing too. like running a shitty ICO and becoming millionaire just because you created a website Cheesy
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins in cryptocurrency? on: March 17, 2019, 07:58:59 AM
You want stability? Go Tether. That is like the USD which is just made online. It is value at 1:1 Tether to USD. You wont have any problem in it.

you would have lots of problems with Tether because it is not stable nor is it fiat. if you want stability and want to pull out of the altcoin market like when it is getting dumped hard then go with fiat and nothing else.
in the past USDT has tanked hard multiple times (look at the percentage of the drop not the size) and that means it is risky. on top of it  Bitfinex company has always been very shady and it is linked to an exchange which we all know are super risky and can run away at any time. that means USDT can drop to zero in matter of minutes!
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: March 16, 2019, 12:33:37 PM
your interest in bitcoin should never be because of its price or only when it hits ATH prices! your interest in bitcoin must only be in its technology and what it offers otherwise you keep losing it and go back to corrupted fiat and in that process you keep losing money as you make bad decisions regarding the money you dump for bitcoin.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investors are coming back ! on: March 16, 2019, 12:18:11 PM
there has obviously been an accumulation going on without a doubt and these increases in volume only approve of that. we are building up towards the next rally that will last the following 2 or 3 years and will end up with a similar looking bubble this time possibly around $200k-$400k
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think BCH SV Could ever get up again? on: March 16, 2019, 12:07:09 PM
Do you think BCH SV could ever get up again?  Do you think it could ever reach BCH?

yes and no.

the first yes because like any other useless shitcoin, BCHSV is going to get pumped at some point by some pumping group or the scammer owners themselves.
the second no because it is copy of a copy and the copy itself is being hype a lot more than the copy of the copy. so despite both BCH and BCHSV being equally shitcoins, BCH has a bigger hype and bigger pockets pumping it.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, STO, and now IEO,.. a little later XYZ and they are all the same! on: March 16, 2019, 11:59:00 AM
I don't think we'll see the end of crowdfunding. It'll remain as long as government agencies like SEC allows it.

do they really allow it?
i don't think so. in fact this way of crowdfunding is illegal in most countries and on top if it many of them specifically banned ICOs which will include any alternative names they choose.
besides i don't think government can do anything about these things.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoins are on the up on: March 16, 2019, 11:49:32 AM
Keep your eye on Litecoins they are on the up again They are up over 183% in 2019 so far,  Its gone from $30 up to $61. Smiley

first of all from $30 to $61 is 103% not 180%, you really need to check your basic elementary math.

secondly you are missing the most important thing here, the price did NOT go from $30 to $61, it went from $370 down to $60 or in other words it has lost 83% of its value.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW SCAM METHOD EMBRACED BY CRYPTOCURRENCY SCAMMERS on: March 16, 2019, 11:30:20 AM
this is only another proof that all the information that you willingly gave to the ICOs you participated in has been already sold on the dark market possibly to multiple people and they have been abusing them ever since.
now you should think how much you betrayed your own privacy and safety by participating in these ICOs in first place! for most people it is just their email, bitcoin and ethereum address and thinks like that. for others who were more foolish it is their personal documents, drivers license, passport, social security number, and a ton of other things they willingly gave up because they lied and mentioned the word "KYC" Cheesy
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested in an altcoin in 2018? on: March 16, 2019, 11:20:49 AM
of me 2019, 2018, 2017 or any other year for that matter make no difference because i have always had a solid strategy which i adhere to. i trade altcoins instead of bag holding things that i am sure are going to lose value in the long term based on my own experience that i have gained over the years.
so the answer is yes, i have made investments and i have already made my profit from them as i made my exit by dumping them at appropriate time.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin number of transactions all time high?? BEAR MARKET IS GONE! on: March 14, 2019, 12:14:01 PM
the growth is not just the number of transactions that bitcoin has. the real growth is all the real adoption that is happening all around the world. for example if you take a look at all the shops that are now accepting bitcoin compared to a year ago, or if you look at the number of new businesses that started on top of bitcoin you can see the real growth there. and that is what matters most.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent Litecoin to Bitcoin Address, How to recover? on: March 14, 2019, 11:27:49 AM
the only way you could do that is if you used the very old multi signature versions of addresses that litecoin used which started with 3.
since these are "multi" signature, you have to first get all the private keys that are used to create that address. it can be anything between 1 and 15. then you simply import all those in a litecoin wallet and setting the required keys to the appropriate one depending on how many are required when this address was set up (for example 2 of 3 is a common choice.)

unfortunately i don't know any videos that can help here. it is the user's fault and they should be asking this question not you.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tone Vays said that in next bull run altcoins will die on: March 14, 2019, 11:20:37 AM
Do you agree with him? Really only Bitcoin survives?

it depends on your definition of "survival". for example do you consider an altcoin which was created a while ago and its initial price was about lets say 50,000 satoshi and all its life it continued downwards and is currently worth 0.01 satoshi a coin that "survived"? if yes then he is wrong.

if you define survival as something that not just has a price tag on it but also is improving, is being adopted, grows, offers utilities,... then you can see how 99% of the coins are simply considered already dead.
