201  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: February 01, 2016, 02:33:31 PM
Nah I don't see it happen, the dollar is also raising against the euro.
I think it will but not so soon as expected, we will see it in the future.

Yes dollar will face a good competition from bitcoin in future, but I don't see that bitcoin is replacing dollar soon, as dollar is the most popular currency across the globe, people would definitely choose dollar over bitcoins.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: February 01, 2016, 02:31:31 PM
If you are a trader. you're not going to sell bitcoin, if the price of bitcoin now, far below the price before you buy
sometimes I was wrong calculations in buying, Tongue

If you have a constant watch on bitcoin price then you know when to buy and when to sell it, as the big traders are doing the same buying at lower price and selling at a bit higher price and making good profits, its not a good idea just keep on holding and making your coins unused.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: February 01, 2016, 02:28:54 PM
To be rich you must work hard. But of course if you're lucky you can be rich by gambling.

But the chances are very small and therefore it is wiser to work hard and not just spend your money.

Don't work hard, Work Smart, and rest will take care of it, hard work will never make you rich, but smart work can, and gambling is not the right way to become rich, as it is illegal and also unethical, gambling is good when it is just for fun.
204  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: February 01, 2016, 02:26:51 PM
You do know there are other ways to invest..  Not just bitcoin or gold, I'd suggest talking to a finical adviser about your investment options.

Guess that's true. To me you should trying saving money first. Then if you already have enough - invest it somewhere else.

I think its better to invest your money in the bitcoin.
The bitcoin has a great future ahead and its of course always a risk.
But I would take the risk for the big future of bitcoin.

If you can afford to take risk than you can invest your money into bitcoins, as it will also save your money and it can be good investment for future, bitcoin can take care of both the things, savings and investments too.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: February 01, 2016, 02:25:16 PM
I think its possible but it will take a long time till it will happen.
Its will take years before its even possible.
I think we just need to wait till its so far, the digital currency's are the future.

Bitcoin will be widely used as a mode of payment, but I don't see it replacing fiat in near future, As the users of fiat are more as compared to bitcoins, and there are many people and countries who have not even heard about bitcoins.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: February 01, 2016, 02:22:41 PM
if you have atleast 100 BTC right now, then after 20 years you will have a good life, but the price that time should not be lower than $1000 but if the price falls, then its a different story...  Cheesy

Exactly, totally depends on the price of bitcoins after 20 years, we don't know where it will stand in future, even 10 btc can take care of you or 100 btc will not be enough to have a good retirement life. And also depends on in which country you live.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: February 01, 2016, 02:20:38 PM
i think that it will become known world wide and more and more people will start using it every day
if you want it to happen, you also need to join to spread and promote bitcoin, like to tell your friends about bitcoin,
it can accelerate that you mentioned

Well its not needed, if the bitcoin will raise to a high amount in the future many people will know it. The news channels will speak about it and the bitcoin is getting more popular everyday, I think the bitcoin will first lower to a low amount and than rise to a high amount.

News channel are spreading negative news about bitcoins, and that is the reason people are not having faith in bitcoin, as people are very much influenced by news they just get carry away with what they listen to, and that is the reason bitcoin is not popular.

That's true and bitcoin is not getting support from the press and media and also from the Governments of the respective countries, unless Government doesn't comes in support of bitcoins, the future of bitcoin is unpredictable.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be Bitcoin Price After 3 months? on: February 01, 2016, 02:18:47 PM
I don't know what is the bitcoin price after 3 months. but i'm sure the price will increase, because chinese new year and halving. i hope the price will increase up to $600.

Yes I believe that it will reach to that price in coming months, as more and more people getting into bitcoins and that is the good news for bitcoin community, the only thing we need is that the price should be stable when it reaches $600 mark.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: February 01, 2016, 02:16:46 PM
They are probably trying to manipulate the coin value, so the price will go down and they can buy even more cheap coins
and sell them when the price is high again

You know, this is very likely actually. If you are sure that Bitcoin will stay firm in the future then you decide to buy BTC as much as possible. You start saying that Bitcoin is dead, media spreads the news, price drops, you buy, you win. Then, several years later, you write a book "How I Made My Millions". Simple. )

Yeah, that's true, people will keep on saying whatever comes to their minds, either they don't know exactly what bitcoin is or they just want to manipulate the price of coin, it totally depends on an individual whether to believe in bitcoins or not.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: February 01, 2016, 02:10:14 PM
yes i am nether gonna sell any of my coins at this time because its the common thing with bitcoin it goes down people think it crashed and then it again started rising

Yes bitcoin will keep on fluctuating as it does every time, and the worst thing is when price falls down people will start on thinking that bitcoin will not survive, need to have faith in bitcoin as price fluctuation is not new when it comes to bitcoins.
211  Economy / Services / Re: Tutoring / Distance learning — Computer Science, Mathematics on: February 10, 2013, 07:39:02 PM
maybe he has the skills and is advertising here because he wants to get some bitcoins?

Even if that were so, this isn't an efficient method to obtain them.
212  Other / Off-topic / You can unlock your phone yourself, for free on: February 10, 2013, 01:38:27 PM
Slightly disappointed in myself that I agreed to pay $20 (plus tip) for an iPhone unlock on another thread without first looking into how I could do this myself. Well... what's done is done.

As you should always, do your research before buying something.
213  Economy / Services / Re: Tutoring / Distance learning — Computer Science, Mathematics on: February 10, 2013, 01:13:41 PM
What are your qualifications? BMath? MMath? PhD?

all of the above Smiley and teaching experience. If someone is interested in advanced modules that is fine.

You shouldn't lie. If you really do have these credentials, I highly doubt you would be freelancing, let alone hold $60 tutoring sessions extensive enough to cover a week's worth of post-secondary material. I'll let you speculate on the hourly rate. I recommend that you make an ad on Craigslist or your city's classifieds to guarantee a stable rate of $30-45/hour.
214  Economy / Services / Re: Remote IMEI Unlock codes, All cell phones factory unlocked, MOST CARRIERS on: February 10, 2013, 12:58:46 PM
I requested this service from lolwut back in January and everything worked out perfectly. I had a phone locked with Rogers Canada, and within a matter of days, he told me the unlock was successful with Rogers and I could proceed to verify it with Apple through iTunes. I paid him after a successful test of the unlock with a random SIM card from a local wireless communications retailer.

Thanks again, lolwut. I really appreciate this service you're providing to the BTC community.
215  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do Dropbox expansion services still exist? on: January 13, 2013, 06:51:45 AM
I remember getting my Dropbox account expanded with referrals here, and I was wondering what happened to these services. Did the Dropbox team patch this sort of abuse?
No idea. Old accounts done via this kind of method are still usable, though.

Yep, I can confirm that as well; my Dropbox account, which was expanded by emails like "90wtrbsdf@ymail.com", still sees these referrals as valid.
But it's a shame no one's doing it anymore. I was hoping to get a backup account expanded, but I guess it should be alright.

217  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: COMBAT ARMS MAJOR 3 ACCOUNT on: December 30, 2012, 09:46:27 PM
Just an fyi, Nexon accounts are very easily recoverable. The owner could claim the account back within hours upon realization that the password has changed.
218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: pirate payments list -- accounts paid: 23/459 on: October 26, 2012, 03:27:36 AM
I've been following this story for quite a while now, and I was hoping to ask: is he in prison yet? If not, how has he avoided the law for so long?
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happens to Bitcoins that are sent to a non-existent address? on: September 02, 2012, 08:00:32 PM
What I mean by non-existent address is a 34-character address that has never been generated or used before.

For example, my address:

1F2ZoMkKXpjxe4SbhmU8LvXHkmCdANdsDS

But mistakenly modified as

1F2ZoMkKXpjxe4SbhmU8LvXHkmCdANdsDA

But as long as that checksum is in place, I feel safe.
220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Making transition from local BTC wallet -> Online Wallet, but which? on: September 02, 2012, 07:44:00 PM
Due to long confirmation times and fear of my wallet.dat corrupting again, I'm would like to stop using my local wallet and begin using an online wallet. I wanted to ask you guys which online-wallet service I should stick with.

How I use my wallet is quite simple. On a average week, I would make four transactions involving my local wallet: receive BTC twice & send BTC twice.

In about a month from now, I won't be able to make any more transactions for quite some time, and will need to rely on this wallet for long term storage.

I'm aware of the online wallet service at http://blockchain.info/ , but I'm wondering if there are other services you believe are just as safe or more advantageous, in terms of reliability or speed.

Thanks!
