An friend here in Portland told me to post a video showing her BFL FPGA / GPU setup.

She made this video in order to win a BFL SC Single. There's also a raffle incentive if she wins. She's looking for views, but I looking to everyone that "Lady Miners" do exist and they are every bit as unorganized and hilarious (duct tape, a piece of wood holding up a milk crate filled with GPUS?!) as the rest of us. Hilarious. (no offense Ada)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On0r-7XGf0U

For those of you who are hardcore and want an extra challenge, I'll send 1 BTC to the first 5 people who can correctly guess the number / type of each GPU shown. 1 entry per user. G'Luck!
Wow and cool but I hope the running on the treadmill does not cause sweat flying off hitting the gear Smiley.

Too new to link, apparently. I'll get there, though.

Thanks for the tip!
No problem, hope it helps and cool site.  I noticed a tv flip by with a $ price and not a bitcoin price too, just an FYI.

Quick point, why don't you add your website to your signature.  That way people will see the link option under your name when you post to other threads.

so RandomQ and HDSolar two person bitcoin meetup??? how it go

maybe some more could meet after Libertopia, I may be there

Oh you missed it, Random Q handed out free gear, I gave away some of my singles and pirate showed up and gave us all cash from his recent business venture.

Just kidding, I wrote something up on the main So Cal meetup:

210  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: SoCAL BITCOINERS Poll: Where to meet??? on: October 08, 2012, 02:35:26 PM
So to follow up, yes there was a meeting and it counts because not one, or two but THREE people showed up Ahhha.

RandomQ, Explodicle, and myself had a few beers, enjoyed an appetizer and talked for a few hours.  I won't speak for the others but I enjoyed the time spent, we learned about what everyone is doing, how I was the oldest  Sad and I think had a good time.

So now that we know there is a San Diego meetup group and there are more folks who want to meet, someone else can recommend the next location and time.  I would rather participate then organize but happy to help.

420, I can't be down at the first few days of  libertopia but if you hold something on the weekend in the late afternoon I would consider driving down.  Hell, I will offer car pool too since I would not be staying the
night if that will help people, but you all have to meet me in the IE if you want to catch a ride Smiley.
211  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rig videos on: October 08, 2012, 02:23:50 PM
I hate videos shot in portrait.

It's called Vertical Video Syndrome.  Cheesy
LMAO, how did you know I was in group two  Grin
212  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rig videos on: October 08, 2012, 02:20:17 PM
i think there existing mining rig photo threads, but probably not one solely for video.

that's a nice box you have for your stuff...is it air conditioned in there? is that why you have that insulation material?

my rig is pretty much the opposite of yours....i put my stuff in the garbage  Tongue

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-0AJFFU53M
Ya I saw that thread but figured we needed a video one since there were not many videos there.

Thanks and yes it had a AC unit in it but I reorganized the gear so that I could drop the AC out.  I still have the insulation on one side just to push the heat up a bit out the top.

Thanks, craigslist special for most of the gear shown, yours is nice from the standpoint that your probably got cash positive faster then I did when it came to supporting gear for your rig  Grin

You have guts my friend to leave that stuff outside, I would be to worried about rain, dust, cats, birds or anything else that could get in there  Grin
213  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rig videos on: October 08, 2012, 02:16:27 PM
I hate videos shot in portrait.
Well I hate youtube and I would not have done it if it were not for the contest.  As you can tell I did not put allot of time in on it because it is a contest entry.  If it were something more special to me then I would have done a better job.

I agree with you on portrait but was just trying to answer the mail.

I am thinking the joke was that room Bond was siting in with lots of machines lying around, could double as BFL........?
Bingo, now I just hope that the villain is not mining bitcoins, Ahhhhaaaaa!
215  Other / Off-topic / Re: Picture and Video of new Butterfly Labs facility. on: October 08, 2012, 02:11:01 PM
I'm guessing he mislinked. He's been posting his youtube video of his Singles all over this forum so he can try to win the BFL contest. Smart. Annoying, but smart. I guess? idk.
Ok, I will stop that, did not want to overload but I guess I did.
216  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: SoCAL BITCOINERS Poll: Where to meet??? on: October 07, 2012, 11:04:07 PM

A new photo of what looks like the new mini-rig SC:

I found a video of too of what looks like the new facility, there is some extra stuff but in the middle you see the site and gear running.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvV3g8hLlyU&feature=endscreen&NR=1

Not sure if I will have the room and not sure about the cooling needs but looks interesting.
218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trendon Shavers - Family Contact made on: October 07, 2012, 07:11:09 PM
you could send the Nigerian Debt Collectors!

Joking aside, im just wondering if there has been any more conversation between Pirates father and the OP - or is this thread a load of BS?

I vote BS.  It seems if you can get people to think something is happening for long enough, people eventually either forget they were robbed or stop caring that they were...
I think I am feeling this way now, I guess we are going through the various stages of grief.
219  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: October 07, 2012, 07:09:03 PM
Where exactly is the 6990?
It is in the CPU at the bottom of the rack, I slow down to show the card running at the end of the video.  I put the Artic cool fan on it so it does not look like a factory one if you missed it.  Watch it again and you will see  Grin.

That factory fan sucks balls big time.
