201  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: August 26, 2018, 03:44:21 AM
I'm wayyyy late to the party but this would be great. A little recognition can go a long way and it can only lead to more posts being reported and less spam. I'm glad to see more and more initiatives coming out these past months.

Currently sitting at 751 good reports. I guess I'd better go hunt some shitposters  Cheesy
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best spot to find mining basics on: August 19, 2018, 03:25:37 AM
I am not sure about Linux (I use Windows as an OS for my mining rig), but I have read this guide, and it extensively illustrates what you should do step by step; I would recommend reading it first (then do some research to verify the information provided): https://blockonomi.com/linux-cryptocurrency-mining/

Thanks! I'm having a look through it now.

I will say this is a poi tless endeavor, you will not earn a single satoshi.

I'm not looking for profit, I'm looking for knowledge.

Not sure why you are having a hard time setting up to mine an altcoin.

... it's just way too complicated for me.

For the information you are looking for you could search here. Its in archival for a reason. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=44.0

Thanks.
203  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 compared to other years? on: August 19, 2018, 12:06:02 AM
With over half of the year gone I'm thinking we might see some red for January 1st, 2019. I'd better HODL a little tighter and try to scrounge up as much as I can.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best spot to find mining basics on: August 19, 2018, 12:03:08 AM
I've been trying to mine shitcoins with a GPU and it's just way too complicated for me. I'd like to start with Bitcoins because I'm sure it's the most well documented coin to mine. I'm not looking for profit, I'm looking for knowledge.

I would like to mine on my current computer which I built with a gtx 1060 6gb. I need to install CUDA though, and being a Linux newbie, it's been pretty difficult to figure out. I'd rather not go with Windows, but if there is another flavour of Linux that's easier to mine with, and can also run a NAS easily, please let me know (so probably not something bare bones).

Any direction is greatly appreciated. If there is a guide you used to get your first Linux rig set up for mining please let me know!
205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: August 15, 2018, 12:11:46 AM
What is the multisig address that the escrow funds were being held in?  It should be public, and each withdrawal should be able to be accounted for and described by Lauda as well as the 2nd signer for the multisig wallet.  These are pretty basic requirements for an escrow and the blockchain exists as a public record to check/balance what these individuals are claiming.  There should be no room for questioning, especially when this amount of funds are involved.

Exactly. I haven't had the time too look too deep into it, but I invested Bitcoins because I trusted the escrows. The Bitcoin address was multisig. I do hope to see more transparency at some point but I know there's a lot of personal mudslinging going on so who knows when we'll get the full story.
206  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets & Security flaws on: August 13, 2018, 03:12:21 AM
Pretty cool, these enclaves! And pretty fancy lingo!
And yet I have recently driven my office chair over my hardware wallet and lost 5BTC!
From my point of view, there is nothing as secure as a brain wallet! I would rather trust a brain wallet than any other wallet that relies on storing stuff on some device that may die anytime!

5 BTC is quite a hefty sum for learning about the importance of backups. Usually you get this lesson for free by following your hardware wallet's quickstart instructions.

Unfortunately, they told me to write down my seed on a piece of paper that any house maid can copy with their phone camera ... didn't want to do it. And with at least 20 different people monitoring my computer (10 of which probably spy on my webcam and get the tingles), I didn't want to save it on my computer either. Also, it was not clear to me how the whole security thing would differentiate from any other paper wallet (in terms of [in]security). Anyway, I have learned my lesson" i'll just stick to good ol' brain wallets in the future. Haven't lost any of those in the past.

Sounds like you have too many people around you  Grin

I only trust cold storage that I've properly made. I have no use for a hardware wallet and would much rather not have to trust one if I don't absolutely have to. I do understand that they're more secure than ay normal hot wallet, but with so many different vulnerabilities it's easier to just print out a piece of paper and keep it well hidden. Don't like paper? Use metal, rock, or whatever you want.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended] NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet on: August 07, 2018, 11:45:31 AM
I'm wondering what the paid shills by NVO TSWR, Radiumsoup Chris will say now, everything is on track? They will hide in their holes, it's been proven that they are totally untrustworthy and essential part of the scam.

I'm an iNVSTor that believed in the project. I had nothing to do with Tom, Imed or Yanni. I've never even had a one on one conversation with any of them.

Feel free to prove me wrong with any shred of evidence coolie.

Ask Interpol ..you dumb fuck.

Just got off the phone with interpol they said they don't speak to halfwits. Catch 22 am I right?

Agreed. I'm a sockpuppet, not the newbie account that's making these claims. msktrader15 1 - Chris! 0. You have won the internet. Everyone looks up to you and your 22 posts. Thanks for stopping by.

Of course you are sock puppet.
Who cares about your Hero member status? Maybe those who hadn't read all of your shitposts.
Someday i'll pick up all of your shitty shill posts with proof links in one single comment. Then everyone could see who actually you are.

I'd love to order a printed collage of my posts. Let me know what your price is for a poster shipped to Canada.

Keep your Lol to yourself asshole.

No thanks.

Your opinion is as irrelevant as you are.

Your opinion is as irrelevant as you are.

I have read the farcical OP and even the statement about Maidsafe on it breaches the original agreement nullifying any contractual T&C's.Funds released from escrow will legally have to be returned by these clowns to anyone who requests a refund.

"Legally". Cute.

Thanks for the lesson in law in whatever country you live in. Does that also apply to Canada? Algeria? I'd love to hear your take on all of the laws around the world. Please go on about them some more. I'm definitely reading it all.

Refunds should only be sent back in the exact denomination they were sent in to the same address they were sent from. The matching amount of NVST that was given at that time for those funds should also be sent back to the developers

Anyone who sold their NVST loses the amount calculated off the original base cost unless they can replace them to be sent back to the so called developers.

Calculating refunds only based on NVST holdings is fraudulent and allows anyone to buy NVST and enter the refund pool.It also allows developers who have already misappropriated funds and bought NVST to enter the refund pool escalating the fraud.

I hope you enjoy yelling into your echo chamber. Let us all know what difference you made later on. Have a nice life.

Better to not paying attention to piece of shit like Chris also like TSWR, centermissing, radiumsoup (list is not complete) – they reveal themselves as a dirty sock puppets and shills.

I "invested" 8BTC into this so called ICO crowsale so I want my 8BTC back. You can keep the Btrash for yourself as it is only a shitcoin along with all other forks but I would like my Bitcoin as in real bitcoin BTC refunded.

Lol. If you didn't read the OP a year ago then I don't feel sorry for you. Maybe now would be a good time to read into and get to understand what you invested in and how the escrows work in this situation.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: August 02, 2018, 10:22:53 PM
So looks like the part of NVO development is supporting trade positions (wth x100 leverage lol) on a BitMex.
Good job guys, good job

Hahahahahahahaha! That was a fun story. This could be a mainstream news article.

I didn't know you could see their 100x leverage orders. That's really cool. Could you show me how you found that?  Roll Eyes as long as they're going long on Bitcoin then we'll be just fine  Wink
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep your coins physically secure? on: August 02, 2018, 10:18:55 PM
Unless you're actively spending your bitcoinsthey should always be in cold storage. I wouldn't recommend hardware wallets because you're still relying on someone else to not screw up.

Just remember to be your own bank and trust no one, then you're all set.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: July 22, 2018, 10:53:35 PM
It was just a figure of speech you moronic retarded ape.

I'm sorry that I didn't understand your death threats as a figure of speech. My bad. That's just wonderful. I guess my family just has different sayings like "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" etc. Your mother must be proud that you'll be passing that on through the generations. /s

Also, I'm utterly offended by your politically incorrect harsh words. I'll have you know that, while my mother was an ape, my father was mostly homosapien. Don't turn this into a hate crime.

Flipping burgers? There you go again [...]

"Again"? Well obviously I've made an impression on you in the past, which would explain the full blown temper tantrum, but who are you exactly?
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: July 22, 2018, 05:51:37 PM
I am very disappointed with this project ... Great loss for me

Anyone who bought into this scammy shit already lost when their bitcoin mooned while this dirt remained stagnant. They also lost their Shitcoin cash handout when fake satoshi forked bitcoin.

The developers here need to be lynched by their community.

Lol developers should be killed because of delays? I'm glad you just flip burgers rather than trying to run a country or something of value to society. By your logic, all scientists should be dropped out of a plane because they didn't cure cancer yet.

How do you scam someone when the funds are with 3 reputable escrows? Please explain it step by step.

Will they return the funds if the project can not reach the milestones?

this i a good question and I could not find the answer. but I think that devs dont even care to answer this question....

The escrows have been compromised. Gotta do some research before investing Wink

Nope no way. I explained to them that their passwords should be at least 6 characters, have numbers AND letters, so there's no chance.

Seriously though, I'd love to see that evidence. Will you be posting it here? I just spoke to one of the escrows and it's still the same person so maybe only 2/3 were compromised?

Man you are really on the up and up for someone that hasn't been part of the NVO community for so long.  Roll Eyes
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: July 01, 2018, 07:35:08 PM
One year after the ICO and still no product. No updates on Twitter. No new news from the team. No centralized exchange and no decentralized exchange. What a total ripoff this project has turned out to be. Maybe it didn't start out to be a scam, but a scam it what it looks like this has become. To quote the great Carlos Matos, "That's a scam!"

True. Expect TSWR to log in and start raging and saying that you are an idiot Grin Grin Grin

217  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 5,000 Bitcoins for cash, anyone serious PM me on: June 26, 2018, 03:33:18 AM
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's going to be really really hard (near impossible) to find a seller for that huge of an amount on a public forum. Why not just go to an exchange and buy it over the counter?
218  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need help removing broken screw on: June 26, 2018, 03:23:29 AM
Lol. I wouldn't try all that useless "life hack" crap like drilling into it or using an elastic. Idk why people make these guides when a tool already exists and works souch better. I guarantee if you use the proper tool it'll come out just fine. I'm just not sure if this will be small enough since it's usually meant for 'normal' sized screws: https://www.amazon.ca/Irwin-Industrial-53535-Extractor-5-Piece/dp/B00004YOBF?th=1&psc=1&source=googleshopping&locale=en-CA&tag=googcana-20&ref=pd_sl_9t3mp5lc3m_e

Sometimes you just need to get the right tool for the job and not try to improvise. It'll save you lots of time and frustration.

Thanks! Having a unique tool specifically for removing screws is much easier than following guides, in my own opinion. This extractor looks quite affordable, and I'm going to buy one to remove the broken screw on my laptop ASAP. I very appreciate this! Smiley

If you have a small saw you can cut the threads back into the head of the screw and then use a flat headed screw driver instead

Thank you, my friend. I'll keep this in mind when removing broken screws. Once I find the perfect solution among the ones given to me here, I'll give you guys an update over here.  Wink

You will have to drill a pilot hole into the screw to use that extractor.  This will be tricky since it appears to be a flat-head screw so there's no divot in the center of the screw which means your drill bit could wander when you attempt to drill the pilot hole.

It's true, it's all true!  Grin I just remember looking up these guides and going wtf? I'll just buy an already existing tool. Then you have it for the future if/when this happens again. I've used mine maybe 3x but man does it ever save some blood sweat and tears rather than trying to file the screw so a flathead screwdriver can screw it out, or drill through it to break it up or use an elastic band. They're just - meh. They'll still be a ton of effort. If you can't get it out with plyers it's time for the extractor. That's my rule of thumb. Don't spend an hour trying to get a screw out  Wink

I just thought of something I should have asked in the first place. Are you replacing the wifi card? If so, just cut the corner off, crack the little bits around the screw off then take the screw out with a pair of plyers.

It's so weird that this thread is so quiet! well I guess it's not that weird since Slack is always pretty quiet too. Everything is "in progress" so there's not much to talk about. I was just calculating what my dividends would look like and I'm still excited to see how popular we get!

Can't believe people here are still believing something will show up. That crap even got delisted from CMC.

They robbed you and Lauda is a thief end of story.

Bull's eye comment.

I guess it's time for you to find a new hobby then (other than talking to yourself Roll Eyes). There is no saving us from ourselves. Every time I see you post it's a buy signal.
