201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luring hunters to promote bounties on: May 14, 2019, 07:05:47 AM
I don't think all projects with huge reward allocation will fail us because I was once part of a high allocation bounty and it was a successful one and I made thousands of dollars with the token reward they distributed and it is all worth it my time and effort. I actually look for a solid and responsible team not only the one with high allocation and idea of the project just to make sure we eon't be left hanging and unpaid.

I don't think so as well, but we have to also understand that there are as much legitimate projects as there are non legit ones. And in the end, it's up to the managers if we'll get our tokens and bounties or we just promoted their projects for free. I've also been in a lot of good projects that was successful as a camaign and there were also some that either took a long time to pay, or never paid at all lol.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone who use mobile wallets? on: May 14, 2019, 06:44:50 AM
Why said dangerous? I don't keep my private keys on my mobile internal storage ,as far as you secured your private keys you are good ,even if your phone got stolen or ruined you will still have access to your coins

And most of the time, conpromised wallets are usually the result of the user's own carelessness. I have 2 mobile wallets and a hard wallet that acts as my savings stash for almost 6 years now and i'm well confident about the security of my assets there. It's your money so its your responsibility to make the proper precautions.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this pump be attributed to Justin Sun or Binance? on: May 13, 2019, 07:20:25 PM
I don't even think justin sun is that relevant to btc or anything outside tron and bittorrent. People don't care about him and definitely what he says can't initiate both pumps or dumps. Now binance is  bit more considerable but if anything of late can be attributed to them, it's them being hacked and yet bitcoin still is making a run. This current run can be pointed out simply to bitcoin moving out of the negative market that started last year.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: May 13, 2019, 06:25:56 PM
Price is down, price is up scams are always here. This is why being vigilant and alert at all times.
Have you been a victim of an elaborate cryptocurrency-related scam that cost you some money? Please share some details here so we can all learn from each other's mistakes...
I'm not a victim yet of a scam in investing but is joining a fraudulent bounty considered? If it is then I am a victim of a fraudulent project because I am a bounty hunter and I did not get paid by the project holders and they ran away. Lesson: DYOR about the project and don't trust immediately.

Ever heard of hyip and ponzi schemes? Back then these are very rampant and unfortunately i got victimized by these when i was just starting with crypto. I think it was called btc river and it was running for 3 weeks already  when i joined and deposited .8 btc. There have been several assurances that it's a safe investment with gains in just a week. No need to do anything. Literally too good to be true lol. In the end, it was indeed too good to be true and i said goodbye to my .8 btc.
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poker & Bitcoin on: May 13, 2019, 05:57:53 PM
There are literally a lot of casinos here which you can play with and without money. like there is stake.com or Primedice.com. These casinos have a lot of games and a lot of opportunities to win. but always remember never play to earn money and always play to enjoy it. never invest money which you can not afford to lose.

Op is talking about poker dude not just any other casino or gambling games in general. I've been playing with stake for quite a while now and the video poker option isn't what op is looking for. It would be nice if the site can include an actual texas hold'em where you get to play with other actual players. I've only tried playing thp in betcoin.ag a couple of years back but there's nothing like an actual face to face poker game.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of these hacks? on: May 13, 2019, 01:42:59 PM
As I remember correctly (post if I am wrong) Binance CEO was suggesting people to hold their coins on most trustworthy exchange and in this situation he was paying attention to binance. Overally suggested people to trust binance and hold their coins here.
But recently there was a hack and 7000btc were stolen. So what was the point?
1. Binance has good security system and this hack is false, they just wanted to give a bad reputation to cryptocurrencies (this work comes from governments and financial institutes) because now there will be a rain of articles about how bad crypto world is, how unsecure it is and etc.
2. They are stupid and really had security issues

Obviously the first point is way off. The binance hack happened right before bitcoin zoomed past 7k so technicaly, it didn't make people doubt and lose faith, if that's what they're aiming for. And binance has an insurance covering the lost btcs so i don't think it was done intentionally. Hell good hackers broke through their security it seems and it's not really impossible that there are hackers that good.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Bitcoin Volatility due to Binance Hack ? Market Manipulation on: May 13, 2019, 01:38:06 PM
The bibance coins weren't sold yet so they weren't able to affect the market. The turn from bear to bull is natural and comes after more than a year of lower lows and panic selling. Many analysts were saying that the big fall from 6000 was the last leg down and it was.

Was the short reversal in July 2018 also a manipulation? Bull and bear must follow one another there can't be only one Wink

Yeah and that hack didn't show any negative effect at all as far as i can remember.  Gone are the days when what happens to an exchange affect the market largely. Even if binance is considered to be the biggest exchange now, btc movement didn't and won't react that much. Probably if binance closes down entirely then we can have this discussion.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN THE ONLY KING, NO DISPUTE on: May 13, 2019, 11:15:26 AM
You seem to have something against bch and sv dude lol. Though i kinda agree with you in a way. Bitcoin is now showing signs of moving the way it did last 2017. And it's brushing away fuds like a boss. I remember a few years back, when news of a hacked exchange would take a heavy toll in btc value. Now even the biggest exchange getting compromised isn't stopping this bitcoin run.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 13, 2019, 08:59:19 AM
That's great indeed i think the bear market is over and we can expect more gains because bitcoin effortlessly pass the $6500 resistance which is quite amazing. Well we will see some corrections but i think the bullrun is on and we might see $10k in the upcoming months hopefully.

It's already broken 7.2k dude and is already starting a recoil though we're still above the 7k levels. That's a very good thing considering we haven't been in this position since last year. I was surprised though that btc took this turn in the second quarter. I was expecting a run in the latter part but things are looking pretty good this 2019.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The "Church"(call it whatever you want) of Bitcoin on: May 13, 2019, 08:54:21 AM
So you want a religious "Currency" war, where the most powerful government backed "Fiat" church can launch a crusade against Bitcoin followers and wipe them from this planet?

Bitcoin is a currency, not a religion and it should stay that way, because many people have died senseless deaths over centuries, because of religious wars.  Angry

*I know this is not a serious discussion, but people might just be stupid enough to consider this.  Roll Eyes

Lol. That last part got me chuckling a little. But yeah some people are foolish enough to take these statements seriously. Some people just had to make a religion out of everything. Though it's a good focus of leisurely discussion 😁 we don't even know who will lead such a religion, or should i say cult, if ever that happens.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Next Bitcoin Bull Run Started? on: May 13, 2019, 08:49:05 AM
There is no popular interest yet.

Check google trends, BTC is not really being talked about even though it soared from 3xxx to 7xxx in a few weeks.

So this bull run is either a bull trap or a very strong bull market incoming when all the people start talking about BTC again.

There's a big scandal brewing with Tether it seems. This could be a manipulation ploy. Or it could be legit. So stay nimble and be ready to jump off if it suddenly flips.

I'm just going to be contented if we stay above 7k this time. And between a bull trap or an upcoming actual bull run, i'd lean towards the latter more. I don't think it's a fluke that we've jumped 4k from where we were the start of the year. Bears are probably exhausted already by this time. And people don't panic that easily now. The binance hack last week would've instigated a panic sell wave but it didn't.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Satoshi Sees, What You See, Am I missing something? on: May 13, 2019, 07:54:03 AM
Satoshi or anyone who founded/ created bitcoin may have had an idea that this may happen but not in this scale especially as early as 2017. Nobody expected bitcoin to boom that way in the first place. Though he or they should be holding money beyond their wildest dreams lol. But one thing's for sure, their vision for btc would likely be realized in a few more years. As long as the value moves this way, people will see it as a means to make money.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: May 13, 2019, 07:41:41 AM
I advise all of my newbie friends on social media who are searching for an investment opportunity starting from last year 2018 to start investing in crypto before the new bull run occurs some are got interested but majority are hesitant to put their hard earned money and I understand but I told them just invest a little by little amount like $20-30 every payday and they will see once value increases over time they will not regret.

That's a good advise. If i'd tell my friends to invest now, i'd tell them to spend the minimal amount they could. You have to make them feel the market movement while slowly making them understand what they're dealing with. I don't just tell people to buy this and that then hold. For them to appreciate bitcoin and it's benefits, they have to also learn by themselves.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even former bears are switching sides on: May 13, 2019, 07:05:47 AM
Apparently Vinny Lingham and Tone Vays are bullish, Vays for the short term, and Lingham thinks the bull is knocking on the door.

https://chainbulletin.com/vinny-lingham-announces-that-the-next-48-hours-will-decide-if-the-bull-market-is-back/

Vinny failed at calling the top, Vays failed with his prediction of a longer crypto winter. Do you think they are correct this time?

Only time can tell. There have been many prominent crypto bigwigs who didn't get it right when they made predictions. The bulls are probably in the works already and that's why these people are making a turn around. If we can keep above 7k for a couple of more days, then we're likely going to have a happy second half of 2019.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 13, 2019, 07:00:22 AM
I literally cried too when I saw that shot from Leonard. Damn it.
I cried more when I saw Embiid crying, I just cant stop it.
That man worked hard for it, even with all the sickness he still tried to play just for that shot in the Eastern Conference Finals.

It is okay though, they are still young.

And then, Denver lose. Back to crying.  Cry
2 of my bets lose their game but they gave them a great fight. That means something for NBA management too. This players are not just for salaries now. They are aiming higher, which is good.
Now there will be no power team, they are all balance and they can win anytime.

I just hate it when Denver is forcing that 3's. They know they are that good at it so why force it. They are good in defense and when offense they score at the paint. That 3rd and 4th quarter was really bad plays for them except for the last ones when Jokic and Murray are going for the paint.

Damn sad right now.

The matchups are actually good for the semi finals. I also would've preferred the sixers to go against the bucks but hey, after watching the game, kawhi deserves to hit that game winner and take his raptors to the ec finals. The west is pretty much done for and i don't see sny way the blazers will defeat the warriors but i'll be rooting for the eastern champs this finals, whether it's the bucks or the raptors.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: May 12, 2019, 04:03:06 PM
Let me fixed it for you. Where Manny fanboys pactards at?  Grin. Either way, Pacman never ceases to amazed us, but we know that Thurman will be next in line. First, this is a winnable fight for me if we are going to base in on Keith's previous performance. Second, this is a test for Manny, if he win this one then I will assume that Floyd will be next or there is a possibility that he will face Floyd in the future.

Manny has fought so many fights already. If there's anyone who needs some testing, it's the younger fighter. Floyd fights whenever he wants to fight. He won't be bothered by the result of the Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

As for the fight, Manny still has the speed and power. Experience will be key.

I think we would see another amazing fight from Pacquiao but I think he is already old there are so many young athlete he should just give way to them.
Yeah experience would be his advantage but could his body go against a younger one?

I think winning is out of the question here. At this point in their careers, both manny and floyd are well accomplished enough that they get to choose opponents. Opponents that they and we know they can beat.  Thurman  is a good fighter but nowhere near manny's caliber even at his age. And i think people should stop salivating over another manny vs floyd because it's very farfetched that it'll happen. They both know they're not the same boxer as before and mayweather is intelligent enough to know one lucky shot could end his unbeaten streak. It's not gonna happen.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dont be dumb gamblers on: May 12, 2019, 03:51:17 PM
Well that is pretty dumb but usually it's a common mistake made by curious newbies. Though i'm pretty sure that at this day and age, where scams, frauds and hackings are quite common, a person would be extra wary in depositing even a small amount in a site he just found out. If he really intended to gamble with crypto, first thing he should've done would be to ask around for reliable sites. With the number of threads and discussions all over the internet, it's not going to be hard to get information.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 12, 2019, 02:14:43 PM

Both Blazers and Nuggets deserves to face Golden State in the West finals, but sadly only one team can win. So it will be a good match either Blazers or Nuggets. If it will be Blazers, then Splash Brothers vs Dame and CJ. But if the Nuggets prevail then they have to contained Jokic and Green will do that chores.

This is a very tough job for Green, and I don't think he can contain Jokic, this young player have so much IQ in basketball.
Maybe it's time for Bogut to step up and help his team, but let's see what will happen tomorrow's game, will there be an upset or the home team will win.

I'm rooting for denver for game 7, though it's pretty obvious at this point that gsw will retain the wc title regardless of who wins tomorrow. The nuggets are the team of the future, with jokic expected to still improve, much like the bucks. It's just that they're facing a lot tougher competition in the west than what giannis and the bucks are facing in the east. But it'll be interesting how lillard and company will respond tomorrow.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Psychological Technique - Play without Pressure on: May 12, 2019, 01:19:34 PM
<snip>

First of all playing without pressure is extremely difficult.

I think, it still depends. Some people can just really handle things like a pro. And I believe, it's also about one's mindset. The pressure might just kick in when you think of gambling not as a means of enjoyment but something more serious like a source of income. However, when one is prepared (mentally and financially) on whatever the outcome is, and as long as one just enjoys the ride, then pressure won't bother him anymore.

Okay, pressure usually sets in when the outcome of what you're about to do  could have a big effect in your life. In gambling's case, it's losing a big amount of money. I agree that to be able to overcome that, you have to set your goals right before making your first bets. Manage your expectations and don't go after winning because you don't have any control over the results most of the time. Accepting what could be the results will avoid having to deal with pressure.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any knows the mathematical formula to winning the lottery? on: May 12, 2019, 11:04:17 AM
I once saw a news  of a "guru" doing some kind of a ritual and wrote some "random" numbers for the lottery. The guy who requested claims that he won with those numbers. Maybe there's no mathematical formula, only some divine intervention  Grin

Lol. If that's the case then the "guru" Should've placed the bet on the  winning numbers himself. If you have the capability to make such predictions, why not benefit from it. I'm sure there are no mathematical formula because if there is, someone would've figured it out by now with today's technology. And don't tell me about divine intervention lol. If you're going to win, you'd have to be extremely lucky that's it.
