201  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-28] J.P Morgan Sees Crypto As ‘Competition’ And ‘Risk’ To Its Business on: February 28, 2018, 11:23:01 PM
I guess they are now recognizing bitcoin and not just shrugging it off saying it is nothing. In the past these companies and well-known people in finance have always been against bitcoins and has not even gave it credit to the technology it has over fiat. But, compared to fiat, bitcoins will be superior to it in a lot of aspects. Problem is the world is afraid of a decentralized system where no outside control can influence it.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2018 Betting on: February 27, 2018, 11:20:03 PM
Thanks for starting this thread. Guillermo del Toro is a lock for Best Director, IMHO. Put some $ down on him before the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs), but he strengthened his case as the runaway favorite when he took the award over Nolan (who is a British director).

Odds have definitely reflected that from the -200ish -> -1000+ drop since then, but I still think there is value there if you can find it at -1000 or less (Bovada, BetOnline) for a 10%+ ROI.

Coco is another lock, but the odds are ridiculous on that one now (like -4000, -5000 range).

BOL

I totally agree! But definitely late right now, as the odds have shifted quite a lot from when they started. Guess the early birds are getting this one pretty good.

Would love to bet on Coco though, my kid loved it (though not a factor that should really affect the judging, but maybe the kids are on to something).
203  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What makes you choose a crypto product? on: February 27, 2018, 11:16:12 PM
Sometimes you get fed up with a current service and a new one comes out and try it. Though there is no review yet, but you don't have any other alternatives to the service you are fed up with. I guess that's when you can say that you can use that service without having reviews yet. There would always be someone first to try a new service/product, if not then there would be no reviews to speak off.

Yes, the difference between the speed of automated bets on FJ and most of other dice sites is big, it's like 2-3 times faster on FJ. It's more fun trying different strategies when the speed is good. I made it to 25k eventually, but then busted all. Smiley Anyway I think it was a good achievement to go from 0.00000523 to 0.00025142. That's almost 50 times the initial balance! I'll be back. )
~

yeah I liked their autobet speed and the overall feel of the dice game
but since they introduced a wagering requirement for the deposits and dice plays do not count
towards the wagered, there is no chance for you to deposit and then withdraw
I think this is a bit silly and many players who have been playing dice only have changed their allegiance and are gambling elsewhere
well, unless the rule is no longer there, haven't been following the announcements to be honest

Do you mean wagering requirement for withdrawals? I think you do, because there are no requirements for deposits whatsoever on any gambling site I've visited so far and I'm pretty sure there won't be any in the future. Smiley

I've never made withdrawals from FortuneJack yet, but from what I know there is a minimum withdrawal amount there which is 0.002 BTC or its equivalent in other currencies, but I'm not aware of any wagering requirement.

I do think it was placed there to prevent people from abusing the platform. Since FJ does not actually charge any withdrawal fees, they don't want people just coming in and using it as a wallet that has free tx fees. Also, FJ is bitgo enabled. If you are withdrawing to a bitgo enabled wallet as well, it would be instant! That is some nice features that should not be abused because people can just deposit and withdraw anytime.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your Dice gambling strategy? on: February 25, 2018, 09:53:21 AM
My strategy in gambling dice is to gain profits about 5% a day. If target has been achieved, i will continue tomorrow. Gambling about greed, so i have to set target everytime i am gambling.

In dice gambling, the winning chance is more than a loss. In was playing this dice gambling in one hash more than a month. In that I use to get more profit in one hash dice gambling. There is one point to leave the gambling, you have to leave at that point to get profit in your hand.Suppose you loss that  point means, you are forced to loss the won bitcoin.
You gain profit about 5% a day? how about if you lose you never stop at least you did not win? I think chasing of your lose maybe that's the hardest part that may hard to control. For me win or lose i'll stop in gambling once it reached the maximum amount that i set.
If i gambled in betting dice i set in 35% chances of winning then have an auto betting, i played more than two hours after that i stop.
Don't be greedy in gambling you are not having a chance that you always win.

Hard to read, but would agree. Usually these people that say they win like 5% a day don't realize that this does not happen all the time. More than likely they will lose in a succession and in total they would have lost more than what they gained. Gambling is not something that you can rely on to profit. It should be just something recreational. Setting limits and playing within that limit should be the number one priority of any seasoned gambler.

(SCAM ALERT) Cryptopia stole my Money!!!!!!!
I withdrew UNIT coins 3 weeks ago and withdrawal status 'processing', so I opend a ticket next day, since then No answer at all. I know now the wallet is back online and working as you can see in uploaded image, and still 'processing' meaing Cryptopia stole my money

Usually exchanges takes a really long time to respond to any support ticket, that's basically the norm with these exchanges. I've been trying to verify my account on poloniex and to be honest they have not replied to it for over three months. I guess they are over flooded with support ticket requests to be able to respond to yours immediately. Also, I think you just recently sent your support ticket but have not really waited long enough to be posting your problem here.
207  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: February 24, 2018, 11:46:36 PM
Ok...

finally i talked whit ROBERT on the Live Chat... but he can't solve the problem 'cause "there are no account with my mail registered".

WHAT???
I'm an old member SINCE JANUARY 2015 !!!!! and problably when i registered wasn't necessary an email...

...but... they know my email because last month 26.01.2018 they send me an email to exchange my cryptocoin before 02.02.2018.

On 06.12.2017 they send me a mail to confirm a withdrawal.

I don't know why they answered me that they don't have an account registered with my mail.
But i hope they solve the trouble quickly.

Hmm. I was able to play on FJ back in 2013 (or 2014, I think), I remember they always asked for an email to register with. Though I am not sure since that is too long ago.

Anyway, maybe consider checking the email you sent them if it was correct. If it was, probably tell them your username that you probably used to play at FJ. They'll more than likely help you out like every person that had had problems on the site. Just please be patient, they will for sure help you out.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale for win, my own experience on: February 24, 2018, 11:36:23 PM
It looks like he may be new to gambling so excited after seeing seven wins in ten bets. He will soon or later open up another thread saying that don't use this martingale method for sure once he gets seven or more continuous losses using this method. It is a common thing to get exciting when they make easy money in few seconds so just wait for his another thread.
That is exactly what is happening here,he is just pure excited because the found a new way to win more coins, gambling is not an east way to make money, move the strategy all the time,if he keeps on doing the same,he will end up loosing everything and that is how things work everywhere as the system is not made to make you money freely.

And just like that, he will be hooked to it and thinking that the strategy really works and can made you money, but it will catch on you no matter what in the end. He may be winning 7 out 10, but the next outcome could be 0 out of 10. I will never rely on it, specially we all know that in the long run the system will over run on you and take everything. That's why I say that the OP must exit early while he still have his winnings.

I also had a similar result back then, I was winning 0.1 from my starting 0.005. I thought I was never gonna lose, till all hell broke loose and I had a losing streak of 10 straight. I thought it would never happen, but it did. Would say that those people that believe in martin gale, or any strategy for that matter, is delusional and probably should reconsider what he is doing.
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your top 5 coins for investing long term and why did you choose them? on: February 24, 2018, 11:28:24 PM
What are your top 5 coins for investing long term and why did you choose them?

My top one is Waves.

I strongly believe in this project. It has anything it needs to be successful: great team, decentralized exchange, token creation, lending and even a multicoin wallet. Its price is rising, but it's still low compared to its value so I'm gonna buy more.

Waves is one of those coins in which I wonder why it does not have an higher value since it seems to have everything need except the support of the public, so there is either something I'm not seeing or it is simply the average investor has not realized the opportunity that is waves and as such it is one of the best investments we can make in the mid term.

I would agree with waves, since waves is so similar to IOTA and ETH. But the main problem is WAVES don't really make enough noise for the public to see how much better it is than ETH since it has its own Decentralized trading platform + wallet + a lot of more features all in one app that they develop themselves. This is quite different with ETH where they only created the coin and the platforms are created by others.
210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC on another breakout on: February 24, 2018, 10:58:26 PM
I’m not expert trader here but I like to share my technical analysis on you would love to hear your analysis regarding the new development on Bitcoin.

Based on fib retracement the 0.382 mark was already break if it continue to move upward it will certainly go up to 0.618 mark which have the equivalent of 14K USD. And if the resistance persists it will continue to break the 1 mark equivalent to 19K USD. What I’m seeing here is another breakout is for BTC. Guys like to know your thoughts about this.

I'm no expert trader myself, I just read countless threads in the speculation board and hear others with much Technicals as far as crypto is concern and they are now pointing to the same argument as yours, bitcoin price is going uptrend and may moved towards $12K-$14K but with some resistance.

I guess its really time that we see the market goes into a positive trend. I'm tired seeing red in the last couple of months. If you Technical Analysis is correct then we are going to be happy to see bitcoin marching towards a new all-time-high.

I’m saddened that the 0.382 mark was not break. But the good news is at least we know that the price of BTC will play around 11,700 and 6,500. These is the trading range will expect for at least one week.

Actually if you use this tool Fibonacci retracement you have a clear forecast of what price will be the next couple of days. Some will say it is because of the Whales but for me this is because of the movement of supply and demand of the coins and not the whales.

Agreeing with what you say the decline this time isn't due to the pesky whale but everything is a natural process of the market (supply and demand).

Currently some countries which do banning against cryptocurrency, now they have published cryptocurrency their own version, such as:
China publishes 'Neo' (the only coin fully supported by the Chinese government),
Sweden publishes 'Sweden's Coin' (the only coin that are considered legal in Sweden), and certainly a similar step will be followed by other countries in the future, and this clearly adversely affects the development of bitcoin.

Nah, I think the decline is still brought about by some people that wanted to bring down the price of bitcoins. Right now we can't expect it to grown unless they had enough bitcoins they want to hold then they'll probably start pumping the price. But generally it should not last long as the cost of maintaining FUD is still expensive.

It would be probably best if you quote my review onto your main post so that people can see it immediately. Though it's completely up to you, just want to help you out sell since you are gracious enough to give me a vouch copy. Thanks again.

Just want to leave the vouch review, I promised.

So far so good. I've been able to join Adobe through teams and was able to download all of the creative cloud apps and login with no problems. I can't predict though until when it will be effective, but I hope it does last a long time. But if it even last a month, it would be well worth the $5.

Thanks again, OP!.

Just want to post here that I have received a vouched copy from OP. When I do get to download and try everything (slow net means it'll take time), then I'll post a review about the product. So far so good, I used a new email for this and got the invited directly from adobe (based on the email address).
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple CEO Calls for More Regulation on Cryptocurrency Market on: February 16, 2018, 04:36:39 AM
Of course Ripple wants more regulation! Because its a centralized cryptocurrency then it would be easy for them to follow new regulations in case there would be since they can arbitrarily change their code to adopt the regulation. Unlike decentralized ones that would greatly suffer from regulations since generally decentralized ones will not be able to adopt since it would be counter productive for them to be regulated, and thus losing the point of being decentralized.

Let me know if you can. (Please pm me if it's possible, since I might not be able to come back to your thread).
216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just means for confiscation. on: February 14, 2018, 11:55:07 PM
Hello all. sometime back I was trading one particular currency and at some point the site confiscated a very substance amount of my long term invested units. How is one to know what the limits are to utilizing the market in terms of volume?

It would be better to share more than that. Maybe you should like name the service you were investing in and what currency that was. Since it would vary greatly with every platform. Quite hard to guess what you are trying to ask here, but if there would be more info then probably we could help you out.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now? on: February 14, 2018, 11:53:18 PM
Yeah and it looks like it is climbing up really quick. Probably the altcoins will now all go down as bitcoin, the king, is back at it. Expect to see the alts go down, but I think there will be those that remain high up even if the prices of bitcoins are going up as well. But, we'll see in the coming days. Usually this will take a few weeks before we see a real ramp up in price changes.

Real good stuff here, been watching this thread ever since it was created. Now my question is, with all these proof and accusations against MP, why hasn't anyone really gone to the scam accusation section and has tagged these guys with much red? Not sure if there was already a SA on them, but only RHavar has tagged them for their activities.

thx for posting

here are my scam accusations long ago

I gave MP owners red trust long ago and sadly only now RHavar started to give them red trust also

as for now I will repeat myself and shout out that MP owners are Scammers

Well, guess it's the downfall of MP now. I don't think with these kinds of news and reputation about them, anyone investing with them will think twice before they do. Especially with the case maidenvoyage who was not given back the 143 BTC he invested, that is something to be wary about. I do hope that more DT members would realize that these guys from MP aren't doing so well in managing their operations.

220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: February 05, 2018, 10:04:34 AM
Staying without gambling is a big challenges to us, because it is a part of human being. Gambling is regarding dealing with the others, for example you are dealing for a business it is also gambling even without doing anything. All things have a risks is a part of gambling but it's up to us if we do literally gambling or not.
Yes and specially those people who have become addcited to gamblng. In fact addicted people cannot stay away for a single day from gambling, they want to play gambling daily. To me i personally addicted to gambling and i really find it to hard to stop gambling for a single day, i always manage to make myself free for playing gambling daily and never compromise to quit it for a single day.
i guess not,i can stand without gambling for life,as i am not really engaged i this kind of activity,I played gambling for fun,but if someones require me not to play i am pleased to do it with all my heart,my family dont bring us to life with gambling,my father and mother kow nothing about gambling.mei just learn from some friends but not all types i know, just a few

You could say that because you are not addicted to gambling, what he said was that those people who are addicted on gambling can't even stay away from it even for just a single day, I guess you misunderstood it. You are a lucky person though because you could control yourself when playing gambling, playing gambling for fun is not that addicted since you are not after the money.

Addiction plays a huge role for people that can't stop playing or cannot resist the urge of gambling. If that is the case then it is likely that he has a bad case of addiction and he must really be in bad shape if he can't stop, those kinds of people need help already.

I would say that you should not equate people that play for fun and those that are stupid enough to believe that they can earn money from just gambling. Though they are different they still do aim for the same thing, they want to get some money, but the chances of one getting addicted may be different though not very far.
