201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: July 25, 2018, 03:17:15 PM
It will be it might just take the coin a while to get back to a place where it can be said for it to be doing well enough for the people who bought the coin during the last bull to be making money from the coin. Ripple took quite a hit in the market crash, the way it's prices plummeted, no one expected that it will be so. Regardless, I stil believe that ripple will be a really good coin.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down Altcoin down on: July 25, 2018, 03:01:54 PM
More lik bitcoin up but altcoins are still down. They do not seem to be following the recovery trend of bitcoin which is surprising as they always follow closely behind before. Normally with the fall of bitcoin then there is the fall of altcoins and with the rise of bitcoin there should be the rise of altcoins which is why I do not understand what is going on now with the market.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stay informed about Altcoins? on: July 24, 2018, 10:49:41 AM
Mostly when I come to the altcoin section here on bitcointalk, there is always talk of the new altcoins, what they are doing, what is happening with the projects. Then for the altcoins that I have already invested in, i join their facebook groups, follow them on twitter, it is always a good way to keep up with what is going on with the coins and with the prices.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am surprised !!! I am confused what is happening right now. on: July 24, 2018, 10:40:24 AM
What happened is a crash, that is always normal after a massive bull market like the last one that we just had. The problem now that many people are having is that most of them bought during the bull instead of after it when the prices have gone down. You just have to hold those coins and be patient, it might take a while but we will run into another bull market where you can make profit from your coins.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it hard to be in before the bull run on: July 24, 2018, 10:32:42 AM
It is all part of the process if you ask me. It's like the market is weeding out the weak hands to make sure that when the market goes into another bull you can be sure that the market is bouncing back stronger. Also there is also the fact that nothing comes without first going through the dark phases. It is always darkest before the dawn if you ask me.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in cryptocurrency? on: June 04, 2018, 04:10:37 PM
I am interested in the concept of a currency that no one controls, a currency that no one can make more at will just like they do with fiat money when they print any amount of money that they desire.. I think that the fact that governments can not control bitcoin is what draws most people to it. Then there is the fact that there is a lot of money to be made from crypto investments
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get more profit? on: June 03, 2018, 03:41:35 PM
Mostly if you want to get more profit then you should be willing to risk more money into into the projects that are still relatively new with low prices so that the potential percentage of return on investments that you get is higher with these coins. Also you should bear in mind that investing in new projects can be very much risky than investing in old coins like bitcoin.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which altcoins are good at the moment to buy? on: June 03, 2018, 03:21:28 PM
NEO, Ethereum and ADA are some very good choices of altcoins that i would recommend for you to buy during this dip. The prices are down, the coins are looking like they will end up doing well in the long run.  These are the coins that I myself have bought into during every price dip that we have encountered because I believe that I will make a lot of profit from it
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have potential to grow? on: June 01, 2018, 09:49:26 AM
Ethereum has a lot of potential to grow. When asked questions like these, ethereum is the first one that comes to mind. Then we start looking at litecoin which has also grown a lot since its inception. There is just so much that can be done with these two projects to make them better. They are the top two altcoins that I believe would grow the most in the future
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you dump or not dump after ICO ends? on: June 01, 2018, 09:29:39 AM
It depends on the coin, if the coins gets listed on exchanges and the prices drop down then you should not be dumping coins, you would have to hold for the prices to go up before you can sell the coins that you got for a profit. Although if the prices are up when they hit the exchanges then you should dump the coins because the prices will definitely drop
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there is life, there is hope on: May 31, 2018, 02:54:53 PM
This is true, this is why people should never panic sell their coins, as long as there is still life there is still hope for you to make back all of the losses that you have incurred from your coins. Know that you are not the only one that is making losses, the whole market is in a bad shape right now so everyone has been making one kind of losses or another, just hold those coins
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: May 31, 2018, 02:34:09 PM
I do not support the use of KYC at the end of the bounty campaign in order to claim your rewards. Any project that does not specify that there will be KYC at the end of the campaign before you can claim your rewards is especially shady. If they want to do KYC then they should specify it at the beginning of the campaign so that whoever ends up signing up knows what they are getting into
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that STABLECOINS are needed in the future of crypto payments? on: May 30, 2018, 08:27:48 PM
Stablecoins are very much needed if we are to ever actualize the use of cryptocurrencies as a valid currency for carrying out transactions. One of the biggest hindrances of bitcoin and other altcoins as a currency is that they are very volatile which means that the prices of the coins are always fluctuating. This means that people cannot trust the price of items to stay a particular number of coins at all times.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can something free be a scam? on: May 29, 2018, 08:17:22 PM
Mostly good things are never free. If something is free it is most likely a scam. Airdrops on the other hands can be scams by their own right. They are also a way for the project owners to get a lot of people interested in their coin because if you are holding some of their tokens then you are automatically interested in the project which could end up convincing you to invest in their coin.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops and Bounties useful? on: May 28, 2018, 10:45:32 AM
They are very useful even though I prefer bounties to airdrops because you get a lot more coins from doing bounties they are both very important. If you want to get into a project but you do not want to invest any of your money into it, then what you should do is participate in airdrops or bounty campaigns, this way you can get free coins without having to buy in.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple the currency of the future? on: May 27, 2018, 04:23:50 PM
I'm not sure about ripple being THE cryptocurrency of the future but it sure looks like it will be one of the currencies of the future. There is no way that only one coin is what will survive the market out of all of the thousands of coins that we have now. Ripple can do well if they keep working on their coin but calling it the coin of the future is so far from the truth. They still have a long way to go.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can market go down now? on: May 27, 2018, 03:49:47 PM
The market is down now so the question would be, can market go up now. Although looking at the way that the market is dipping bit by bit at a time it might be that the crash in prices is not yet done so we can expect some more dips before the price starts to recover again. As a lot of others have stated, anything can happen with the prices so it is always possible for the price to go either way.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verge Hacked For Second Time In Two Months! on: May 25, 2018, 10:11:12 AM
It just looks like there is someone out there with a vengeance against the verge project because it seems like no matter how hard they try they cannot just catch a break. Most coins have never had to worry about or deal with hacks while verge seem to be averaging an hack per month. I just feel sorry for the investors who have money in it seeing as this is affecting the prices negatively.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: May 25, 2018, 09:44:13 AM
Two words. Signature campaigns. These bounty and signature campaigns offer you the best and most efficient way to get the most number of coins without having to do much of anything. Participating in them is your best bet to get a good number of free coins. If you decide to hold and the prices of the coins that you get moon than you have a lot of money to be made from selling those coins
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins for Africa on: May 24, 2018, 12:42:53 PM
Not sure which ones are dominating now in the african market but I will look up this project that you have mentioned. It is good if there is a project out there using the blockchain technology to help bring people out of poverty and give them a way to fend for themselves. Africa is still an untapped market in the crypto sense and it might take a while but it will do good in africa too
