Just a quick update of my test as my miners start to normalize here.
My 2 miners on antpool are doing approx .0470btc per 24 hours.
My 2 miners on ck are averaging 9.45THs and getting about .008BTC per block.
I need kano to find approx 5.875 blocks per 24 hour period to make what I make on antminer.
I've only been back on antmine for about 2 full days, and I was on ck for about a week.
We'll see if there is anymore normalization to be had after another week or so.
errr.... https://blockchain.info/poolsAntpool is 29% of total hasrate, Kano is 3%. Antppol: 318.77 PH/s kano.is: 32Ph/s So of course you're going to make (on average) 10x more on antpool. (except that antpool has higher fees....) But: do you trust them ? Do they inform you as transparently as kano regarding what happens ? Are you sure you're getting your fair share of BTC ? Not only that but 1 week or 24hrs is way to short of a time period to validate any kind of comparison. you need to do at least 6 months. variance/luck can and will impact results if looked at for such a short time. plus anthole is a cesspool, they dont share btc fees and only think in the manner what can increase their bottom line. and o ya.. they mine empty blocks. |

not really sure how much power im saving by having the "green" ports but nice to think that its actually saving power. also i like the smaller size since the ports are double stacked vs all in a single row.
Probably about the same amount of power one would save by spray-painting other network switches green.  Sounds to me a lot like those "eco" products everywhere in grocery stores. I keep telling my wife the only thing "Eco" about them is the increased fuel economy on the drive home from having a lighter wallet. and thats what i figured. i bought it for the compactness mostly and i found one in a local store for less then what amazon was asking. |

Nhando. Dont worry what people say or point fingers at i cant image what the daily cost is to run that much equipment. At least you are here when you can be and thats good enough.

its a server psu. they are on or off. when you plug them in they are on.
are you trying to add a switch so you can manually power on/off without pulling the plug?

they find blocks when they must? = they find blocks to prevent suspicion when i first join a pool
and no when i want... = i start stealing from you as soon as i think i can get away with it.
that guy has some serious balls to even make that statement.
if this is the same guy that hit slush and then kano he has over 300 btc. so at this point he probably doesnt care anymore.

you could underclock it to a point. but you get to a point where hw errors will prevent you from going any lower. leaving a blade unplugged might save more power vs underclocking.

I had something similar back in college. Everytime we connected we had to sign in with our student id and password. We could get an overwrite/static if we had xbox ps2. So they were auto authenticated with our student id. Get to know your It people they might be able to hook you up.

Well at least 27ph worth of miners know its smart to stick around. Perhaps the flux of hash will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel.

its more of the fact of the cable/wire that has be to used for the 80amp breaker. as the amps go up the cable gets thicker. therefore an 80amp breaker wire wouldn't fix in a standard 110/240 plug. you wouldn't be able to split the cables down to make them fit a plug.
your better off following the advice of what he is saying. I run a 20 amp plug/fuse for each miner its a bit overkill as the s7s only run at about 12amps but the extra room lets me plug in fans or switches as needed.
basically you cant do a 1 to many. it has to be a 1 to 1. depending on the miners you might be able to do 1 to 2
1 80amp to many miners on many plugs = no
1 15 amp to 1 plug/miner = yes
or
1 20 amp to 1 plug w/ 2 miners plugged in = yes

You would think that they would eventually look to improve their efficiency and start replacing their crap with modern hardware.

its not that they couldn't seeing as how they got 40ish btc from us and who knows how many from other pools. its a lack of incentive. why spend the money/btc on new gear when they can continue to use the old stuff and make btc off it. there is no punishment that can be leveraged against them to force the repayment so they will continue in their deceptive ways he hop from pool to pool until they either have enough btc they don't care anymore or there is a reason to stop using the stealing machines. |
