Everyone knows Wired is garbage.
202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Washington D.C. to Deploy Giant Defense Blimps. A little fearful aren't we? on: February 14, 2013, 12:40:49 AM
The Navy has a blimp tethered over Key West, FL to keep an eye on Cuba and to broadcast Radio Free Cuba.

So I guess we are the other universe then ?

Obviously, that's why shit is so fucked up.

Who needs drones when you can have a giant fucking blimp spying on everyone?

The main objective of the "drug war" is to infringe upon as many civil rights and get as many innocents killed as possible. As long as it continues, it's a success.

No, the goal is to lock up as many brown and poor people as possible for felonies to ensure cheap labor and remove them from the electorate. In the mean time they get to use your tax dollars to build an army of cops armed with tech usually only allowed to the military. Free toys!
207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There is a man who has declared war against the Los Angeles Police Department... on: February 08, 2013, 04:05:34 AM
LAPD cops have been ramming and emptying their clips into random people's pickup trucks that don't even match the description. Fuck the police.

210  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: January 13, 2013, 10:17:55 PM
With p2pool 11.1
I have drop cgminer or bfgminer, if drop internet connection.
With 10 version this was not.
What can I do ?

You can learn some more english, so we can understand your babbling.

Don't have to be a dick about it.

My internet is terrible. getblock latency is always around 1-1.5 seconds.
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Strange noise coming from the sky on: December 12, 2012, 01:25:04 AM
"Depending on the temperature and humidity at the altitude the contrail forms, they may be visible for only a few seconds or minutes, or may persist for hours and spread to be several miles wide."

When you see one long contrail and one short contrail like the photos I've seen they never mention that they are probably at very different altitudes with very different temps and wind speeds.
213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a Better Asset right now: Silver or Bitcoins? on: December 11, 2012, 04:50:28 AM
I'd rather have silver because the value of Silver remains the same however the value of Bitcoins are changing.

Lots of stuff I've read lately says silver is due for a crash.

Nobody? Fine I'll do it.

So, you two need to be Bayesians, respond to OP honestly, and stop introducing nonsensical speculation to a question that didn't ask for it.

Hmm... am not quite sure how to be a "Bayesian" (although I am guessing you might be referring to the Baysian equation algos used for identifying spam).

It isn't actually as nonsensical as you think - one of the core devs was just posting the other day about the weakness of the Bitcoin network.

Don't kid yourselves - if the PRC government decided to prevent the export of ASIC and keep it to use on Bitcoin mining themselves then the >50% could happen in as little as one month.

Jokes on the PRC. They don't exist.  Wink

You lost your job for being an idiot.
217  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: December 05, 2012, 05:22:36 AM
I'm just trying out p2pool for first time.

I'm getting a lot of these:

Traceback (most recent call last):
Failure: twisted.python.failure.DefaultException: sharereply result: too long

Is that normal or is something wrong?

In cgminer it always say the pool is dead. But I'm entering apparently correct values.

netstat -lntp shows it's listening on 0.0.0.0 not 127.0.0.1

9.3 fixed this problem. Scroll up.

Changed my password and it's working again. My old password didn't have any symbols in it and worked fine up until last week. I'm still getting a lot of DefaultException sharereply too long errors.

The sharereply bug should be fixed in git. I'll do another release soon if it's fixed.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick answer.
