201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 21, 2017, 01:25:39 PM

How us lisk price stable at the moment? It just went x3 in price in a week.

Wouldn't mind margin trading though, just don't see how you can call this stable.

Where do you see me talking about stable price? Lisk mainnet is stable and therefore safe for exchanges to implement it into margin trading.

Lisk still has very high volatility, and as you know, margin trading is added to more stable assets.

i've seen a gradual and steady decline in the Lisk price over several months. there's been no real volatility, just a consistent trend down. Now we are seeing the first real signs that the market has done its homework and realises that the well funded coin project has a better chance of success. volatile coins often tend to be those that are underfunded and need to pump and dump to bring in revenue for further development. watch out for those and take a more critical view.

there are only a few coins out there that tick most of the boxes to be regarded as a reasonable investment risk, and although the management of the project has been at times disappointing in the first year Lisk is one of those coins. it has the funds, a stubbornly resilient core community, and isn't trying to push the tech to the limit... and beyond (where bad things can and have already happened to other projects). If it can transmute mobile apps to a form of digital currency on a blockchain many other interesting things could then begin to happen. we shall see.

What are the main critiques of LISK? What is the main value?

I keep hearing people say its shit and great but not a lot of reasons for each (besides price is way down, but they have a lot of BTC).

I am looking for what is the TECHNICAL VALUE for lisk to exist vs ZEC, ETH, DCR etc.

Bagholders talking bs that Lisk is great because they baghold coin with around 10month downtrend (watch alltime 1d chart at poloniex).
Lisk had 3 days uptrend and rest of existence in downtrend. Market knows well what value of Lisk is...

Rest of people see what really Lisk is...

Technically Lisk is clone of failed Crypti (1st project of Kordek). Lisk has a little inflation by DPOS (Delegates Pos). End od technicals.

Lisk is shitcoin with POS in DPOS form. Nothing more now.

Sidechains and Dapps are promised but nothing now after 1 year of project and 14,000 BTC funds! Dapps needs SDK and SDK ETA is end of year.

Now I bet you have POPCORN?  Grin

Just look what 14,000 BTC project did in 1 year: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg18056316#msg18056316

i'm a Lisk critic, but your market analysis is flawed. speculators/ whales try to deploy their capital with maximum efficiency. Lisk has already made announcements setting the calendar schedule for development 'events'. no event is scheduled for some time and so speculators have deployed their capital elsewhere.

Max has to make this project work. the alternatives are getting sued, and his name and reputation destroyed.

Emperor's clothes syndrome.

where's the real world usage?
where's the necessary innovation?
where are the technical solutions (that will actually be adopted) to scaling problems?

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 10, 2017, 12:25:13 PM
3rd ByteBall distribution in two days.  Smiley
Max made good decision when he link
Lisk BTC fund to ByteBall

He made much money from first distribution, did he pay the money to us or he used by himself? Did he link for second distribution? Will he link for third time? Actually I don't like MAX, like other people do, because he is so selfish and incompetent. The price will crash in this year, and no future of Lisk. Ark will replace Lisk.

Why Max should give you some ByteBall since you don't like him?

kindergarten comes to Lisk. it had to happen.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 06, 2017, 12:28:23 PM
At these prices and considering the slow development and the lack of a good development team to push the platform to new heights, I can say that LSK is still very much overpriced and it deserves to go down a lot more. Who would be stupid to invest in it right now with having the goals missed and the promises broken.

dzimbeck is a developer so he has an idea what really goes on behind a project. His insights have been very helpful in gauging what kind of a project Lisk is.
Have you totally lost your bleeping mind?

...See what I mean now dzimbeck?    I'm choking on this stuff!
... and thank you for the reply....  Wink makes sense...

No problem. If anyone criticizes a project they should just discuss the important topics. The rest is fluff and doesn't strengthen the argument. I like the concept or else I wouldn't have invested. But still delivery is critical. The biggest problem by far in crypto is projects that raise funds and don't deliver. All investors well intentioned can become "trolls" in response to the fear of their investment being abandoned. So loyalty is the number one quality to look for in a dev.

I am sorry but the team of a project has the responsibility to keep their followers and supporters loyal. The investors have trusted the team with their money that they will deliver on their promises. It is real money we are talking about here and this is no joke. How can you expect loyalty if there are rumors spreading that the project is being mismanaged by Max Kordek?
he's learning on the job, which is a big concern.

@bitbitch
Normally I don't read your nonsense as you are on my IgnoreList - not without reason.
But this is too funny...
If you think I am a secret bitcointalk lisk thread PR agent please read this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory
and complete the worldwide lists, there are still vacancies in the psychiatry.
Okay, now you're locked in again.

so in what way does your presence here differ from that of a paid Lisk PR parrot? your behaviour exactly matches that which one would expect of a Lisk parrot. i'm not trying to ruffle your feathers. i don't construct mute lists. i'll debate anyone on the substantive problematic issues we've all observed about Lisk to date.

Sonix have you just become max and Oliver's  3rd world pay rate spammer?  Such a shitty pile of horse shit this  thread and project has become.

s0nix holds lisk. he is not a delegate. he behaves like Lisk's (not so) secret bitcointalk lisk thread PR agent. i assume he is that.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 05, 2017, 11:06:07 AM
lisk will hit ico price before the end of this month, better buy more now!
The market confidence is shattered and momentum is lost, it would take big efforts to rebuild it and even more time. Only opportunist would by it at the moment not waiting for clear downtrend reversal-catching falling knife not worth the risk.
Buy low, sell high....  Wink  while I'm inclined to agree nobody knows the reversal point, the chart does not reflect the value of the project...at all. The mkt cap is lower than the dev funds over fudd and impatience.
Lisk is certainly the best value to buy right now for longterm of all cryptos.

the value of the...*fund*. there needs to be a minimum standard of entrepreneurial experience to translate that value to a market success. we are far away from that.

Hi Guys!

After consulting with my lawyers Today I have formally launched a complained with Swiss authorities against Max and Oliver. Lisk is paying huge sums of money to light curve whose beneficial owners are max and Oliver. This is direct violation of Gmbh rules and regulations. I will keep the community posted about the update on the case.

you have, really?

it does seem like an odd arrangement to control a foundation and funnel its money to your own for profit private entity. i think they conveniently neglected to mention it at the time of the ICO. wide open to abuse.

It's probably the legal way for them to transfer ICO money, and there is most likely nothing you can do about it.

but it is not a a not for profit structure. the ICO announcement marketed to investors to invest on the stated basis that the project was to be run as a not for profit. Lightcurve is a private for profit business owned by Max and Oliver and is spending the ICO investment funds without public disclosure. there is no transparency. this is not the ICO agreement. it is the exact opposite. they have perpetrated a misrepresentation to investors, a deception.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 04, 2017, 10:30:38 AM
...
I don't see Lisk have to be financed from European grants (extra money like 10 000Euro for new company but you need give extra papers and wait).
I see that maybe Max is good developer but not manager IMO so let him hire professional manager and move forward,
or you can keep dreaming about bright future without any change.
...

Max is not really a developer.
He is one of the founders and he is a very good "explainer" for presentations, to make contacts etc.
Have a look at the last year's conferences. He has done a great job.

Besides, I don't know when you guys last looked at the website.
The Lisk Foundation already has another capable member for management and financial things.

Guido Schmitz-Krummacher
MEMBER

Guido is an experienced entrepreneur with more than 25 years of leadership experience in companies at different stages and segments. His background is international-law and economics (EMBA in finance) and he is based in Zug/ Switzerland. Guido is interested in new technologies and is supporting start-ups engaged in blockchain-technologies at board level to set up their legal and financial environment.

"Max Kordek is a futurist and thoroughbred entrepreneur" - says who? Oh, Max, that's who. A"thoroughbred" entrepreneur? he was a student and sold some graphics cards. he's good at presenting an image of himself to the world, but it isn't a reality.

but that wasn't what the founders asked the investors to agree to at the ICO. Max and Oliver clearly stated that their reward was to be 4 million lisk each, minimal salaries, and a strictly non profit structure. the addition of the for profit Lightcurve entity which Max and Oliver own privately on a commercial basis is a breach of the agreement.

This thread is super massive. Is there a link to roadmap and SDK timeline please?

To understand the delay with the SDK, please read this:

Lisk Blockchain Applications — The Future of the SDK

The Lisk team is getting bigger and bigger.
And that means the development will be faster in the near future. Maybe we'll see the SDK earlier this year.

i want it to get better and better. size isn't everything.

Damn bitch. quibbling
First all screams "Not enough Devs.
Now there are more Devs at Lisk and LOGICAL is then a team bigger!!
This was a quantitative statement.
And of course it could be better.

"could..be better". understatement of the Lisk year so far.

The consensus is that Max really isn't the right person to be CEO. I've lost count of how many private messages i've exchanged with people who've expressed that sentiment.

If he were applying for job vacancies in the open market he'd be qualified and experienced to take what position? CEO?
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 02, 2017, 08:33:21 PM
Is there any informaiton paid on the salaries to developers, specifically the salaries they pay themselves?

no. it's a closed book. they have chosen a structure that gives you no option but to trust them. it didn't need to be that way.
