203  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only way to not lose money is by selling now on: June 09, 2013, 06:48:47 PM
If you want to lose even more money so its ok, hold for more days/weeks your coins.

Its better to sell taking small loses than looking for profit, holding and taking major loses later.  Roll Eyes

lol troll post?

Exactly right. Bitcoin has never been a billion dollar market in the first place. The figures most people are touting from Bitpay are hugely inflated because of mining equipment, and the evidence like data on sales of Humble Bundle, Reddit Gold and bitcoinstore suggest that people don't use Bitcoin as a currency in any significant way.

We'll I will quote this every single time I try to make my point.
I'll let you have some part of the treatment I got when saying nobody is using it except .....

my friends are using bitcoin.. umong them selves and other friends

for example: 1 come and help a day with painting my friends house.. ..  i get a bitcoin from my friend for the work..

now .. this is slowly spreading  .to friends of friends..  and so on.

it's a start isnt it? Wink facebook became popular the same way.

I expect plenty of traps and mini sucker rallies, as usual during bubbles deflation.

It seems like everyone of "this time its different" preachers left. Sad times.

Not gone, just quiet. Volume comes with something to point to.

connected users: 3216
on bitcoinity..

thats a lot compared to last weeks.; when it was always below 3000 even during weekdays.. only when selloffs happend then the amount got to 3400 something..

maybe the bidwall attracts people again.. too see what will happen..   : will it be broken or will we break out to the sky Wink

edit: there must be massive amount of fiat sitting there.... unless people realy left gox..  but i realy doubt that..    as usual gox does not communicate well.. but stays strong some how lol

Where do you see that count?

you cannot see the amount of fiat sitting on gox .. if thats what you mean.. but if you look at history .. you can check the volumes during the selloff days..  and thats big.

guys, I'm a noob, where do you see these walls and stuff? thx

http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com/

Welcome Tycoon! Congratulations on finding one of the most effective hedges against world financial collapse! The more the merrier! Smiley

thx, but pls explain what is those columns? what is the "sum" column.

0.2   0.1524   109.08001
29.0   28.8592   109.07000   sum = 28.8592 + 0.1524 (the previous one)
29.1   0.1000   109.06900   sum is 0.1000 +previous sum
29.6   0.5000   109.05060    ...
30.6   0.9758   109.00001
30.7   0.1000   108.95

bid= what someone is willing to pay  for a bitcoin
ask = what someone is asking for  bitcoin
volume = how many bitcions

sum(bitcoin)    volume(bitcoin)      bid($)
29.0                28.8592                 109.07000

this means someone is willing to buy ..28.8592 bitcoins  at a price of 109.07$/bitcoin

You know, what confuses me about this drop, is it doesn't appear to be triggered by anything.  I've been a firm believer that we would retest our lows in the 60-80 range at some point, but I always assumed it be triggered by some major news event. How sick would it be if this was the ultimate bear trap.  Shake all the weak hands and run it up to 500.   Shocked

the 8k wall can do whatever he wants Smiley .. if he feels we hit bottom.. it's time for the other way to make profit ..
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Drop 6/7/13 on: June 07, 2013, 06:41:31 PM
Why not?

Seems like a good idea to cash out now before the exchanges get shutdown, Feds get too involved, and price (possibly) crashes.

In reality I bet almost everyone has bitcoin not because they want to use it for purchasing goods, but as a way to make a quick buck - Don't lie.

Honestly, if that is how you feel, nobody will miss you, and its good you are getting out now.

we need all of the people.
if it's not for greed.. then maybe for freedom of money..
it doesnt matter..

More people to bitcoin is good. whatever their motives are
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 07, 2013, 05:57:04 PM
OT:

On BitStamp a single 600 BTC buy order @115$ moved up the price.
So with 600 BTC you can  temporarily push up a market like that of about 5%.

Same thing happened a few days ago with a single order @125$.
What's interesting is that a few minutes later a sell order of same amount made price crumble down.
Nice pattern.

makes sense..   here big 8k walls play with our balls..

at bistamp even i can play with ..   ehmm.. manipulation Smiley
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 07, 2013, 11:00:12 AM

I wonder where all the fiat goes.. after so many  dumps the last weeks..      is it sitting there..?
is it moved way.. ?

219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 06, 2013, 08:31:44 PM
Well I just sold all of my bitcoins so I can buy back at a lower price. So the price should definitely go UP in a few. Haha

I know this feeling..  I had some big shitty trades lately..

edit: some dude at bitstamp is bying 500btc at 120$

hmzz.. Smiley
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 06, 2013, 06:48:20 PM
220 bitcoin buy wall in place at 120$. It's not looking good, we need a whale to help us out!
whale? Smiley  once there was a 8k wall  like a week ago .. now that was a whale
