Hey guys, I just spoke to a guy over chat who told me his plan was to get 100 BTC, wait for the price to reach $5k per BTC and retire after that. Since he lives in a third world county, that might be possible for him. I know this is a simplification of the problem but I d like to know what s your plan. How many BTC is your goal, at what price and what happens once you reach that goal. After all, we have all been involved in a dream, why not dream it a bit more.  my plan is halving, i hope that halving will rise price of bitcoins so i bought a lot of bitcoins now and keeping them in my wallet, i will do this for next 3-4 months, till halving, and if price will rise enough to the price that i like, i will sell then and i should get lots of profit, it is pretty easy way to get profit and it is not that risky as gambling Yes true if you do that with patience you'll definitely get a lot of bitcoin. The best way is to store bitcoin wallet in a long time ago if it had accumulated many can only be sold when prices rise. if you have so much bitcoin then maybe you can keep it in a time deposit lock and set it on 10-20 years and who knows maybe you will become a millionaire someday. |

I agree with this. I've read on this forum some time ago about a guy who bought beers to all of his friends with Bitcoin. That was a good example of a proper teaching IMO. Yes true but it will be better again according to my friends tell me about how to give a beer with bitcoin and tell me how can i get bitcoin, which is of paramount importance to those interested. I'm sure it could succeed. Yeah experimenting with bitcoin on buying and selling it on trading will give a person some experience do understand what bitcoin is and how it works. |

Its many grams example gold or other investment... Well milionaire no but holding any ammount around those would for sure allow you to do trading and maybe get a life doing just that. Yes it is still not enough for a person with that amount to become a millionaire someday,he still needs more that 1k bitcoin for a person to become millionaire in the future. |

I just tested this with my adblock - and I am using AdBlockPlus and it doesn't block these paid search ads at all. My search results looks exactly like that picture Op posted. But I won't click on that fake blockchain to test it, better safe than sorry. Yeah better keep away from that site and never click on it these kind of site should always be known as a scam so that new users will not fall into it. |

as far as i can see.. phililppines has not regulated and has no laws in place for bitcoin.
does this mean a philippino can currently .. eg. cash in a large amount of btc on an exchange.. and withdraw back to PHP bank account and pay 0% tax ?
I don't know what you mean here bro, but as far as I know, up to this days there is no law that regulates bitcoin in the Philippines.. Though you can withdraw tons of money thru a local exchange here in the Philippines, you are not safe in the eyes of the law...the local exchange here requires valid government ID to raise your cashout limit..It means, you can still be traced.. I just don't know what was the permit given to this local exchange or what they apply for, either for a remittance or really for a bitcoin.. Hindi yan pinoy at napadaan lang siguro yan dito malamang naghahabol lang ng post yan kasi tignan mo yung filipino. Another spam post. |

I think rich people are more addicted to gambling as even if they loose it won't make any difference to them as they have lot of money to spend and that is fun for them.

uᴉoɔʇᴉq is and will remain the top currency of the altcoins, and that's it. It will never reach the top of traditional currencies as the USD. We just have to stop with thinking that. It will never replace the dollar. true my opinions is that it will become prime internet paying method and i will replace paypal payza and rest of them BTC will be leading in this field I am quite sure that uᴉoɔʇᴉq will overtake PayPal by amount of daily tranferred money and also in the amount of users. It will take quite a few years, but it will definitely happen. It's just a matter of time. Yes paypal has lost its value after bothering its members and sucking their money. Now everyone is searching for some other reliable source of transaction and they will find uᴉoɔʇᴉq. I have been reading through various forums and websites where people are complaining about PayPal freezing their money without any reason or warning, and still these people are using PayPal. They either don't know there is a much better alternative for sending and receiving money, or they like to get themselves bullied by companies such as PayPal. They need to give a strong signal to PayPal by ditching it and to start using uᴉoɔʇᴉq. The reason is many of them are not aware about bitcoin and that is the reason they are using Paypal or WU but I am sure once they know about bitcoin they will never use Paypal. I think is also true that if someone who once using paypal and now recognize bitcoin will definitely move to bitcoin, because bitcoin is more attractive than paypal and offer some convenience and advantages. Yeah,bitcoin is really more convenient than paypal because paypal has many charge back and users are annoyed by that. yeah, i also left paypal for bitcoin because of its annoying features and high transaction fees etc. That is the right thing to do, if we have bitcoin then why do we need Paypal, bitcoin is more convenient and involves very low transaction costs which saves money of people. But still bitcoin is not accepted around the world and we need companies to join bitcoin if there is no companies that accept bitcoin then paypal will be there. |

With the price movement right now, reaching $10,000 per bitcoin is not yet possible...even if we cross the $1000, we are still far from reaching that goal, even after 2020...So I think we won't be seeing that price soon..If some of those developers and investors on bitcoin would again make a drama then probably we will be dropped lower and lower, So by now, it is still unreachable..
Yeah I agree. To reach the $10k I think you have to be very patient. At least another 10 years imo. And that is a crystal ball prediction.  Also possible that Bitcoin will have disappeared in that time.Of course I hope not that this will be the case. Bitcoin will survive longer but not sure when it will reach to $10k as it is impossible to predict the future price but one thing is sure we need to wait too long to reach there. Yes 10k is really impossible to attain and it might take decades for bitcoin to be able to get that price,i hope i can see that price having as it will be a really long ride to see that. |

I will be more comfortable in buying at a moment as price is low at a moment so If I buy now then can sell at the time of halving where we will see higher value of bitcoins.

there are big difference between gold and bitcoin.
Bitcoin can be used as a currency and can be transact anywhere in the world.
while Gold, it's a precious mineral also it's mined physically.
So, i'd prefer both. But if i'll choose what is the best to invest, i'd choose bitcoin.

This won't happen since they are too far in it now, development wise, to stop it all the sudden. That could create unforeseen ramifications for the blockchain and that won't be good for anyone involved with bitcoin.

As said it looks to be completely a drawback for the users if halving doesn't take place. Even this might create flaws in the bitcoin technology. Certainly halving won't get cancelled rather than a postpone. The halving wont really be cancelled because there is no reason for it and it is in the program of bitcoin that there will be halving every 4 years. |

I just bought a lot of Bitcoin about 2 days ago because halving is coming up soon and I am trying to get as much Bitcoin as I can.
