201  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - New bitcoin sportsbook - Best odds - Very quick transactions on: April 22, 2013, 08:07:12 PM
It is true that when a bettor rolls over all of his cumulative winnings to the next bet in an IF bet series, it's fundamentally identical to a parlay. There are some cases where a bettor will choose not to press his winnings all the way down the series; in this case, the IF bet does become a distinctive feature.

In my case last night, putting action on the heat and the thunder game would have reduced to a simple parlay. So, BitBook.biz, if parlays are coming soon, I applaud and look forward to it. Don't even bother with implementing IF bets until way further down the road. After parlays, teasers and pleasers can be implemented next, right?  Smiley
pleasers would be awesome for the football season.

While placing wagers on today's nba games, a feature I've used before on a different site came to mind: the IF bet. It allows a bettor to wager on an arbitrary number of events in a defined sequence such that each wager is only in action if the previous one wins. To illustrate with a practical example, I wish I had been able to bet on some event in the Bucks-Heat game, and if that bet had won, place a new bet for an event in the Rockets-Thunder game. This wouldn't have been a problem if the Bucks-Heat game ended well before the Rockets-Thunder game, but impossible to do without a so-called IF bet if I wanted to wager an amount that included the winnings from the earlier game.

It would also allow a bettor to define a sequence that isn't in chronological order. Like placing a wagering on Friday night for a game that is to occur on Sunday, and roll over those winnings to bet on a game that is to occur on Saturday.

There are two variations of the If bet. One where the sequence continues only if the previous action wins; and one where the sequence continues only if the previous action wins, pushes, or cancels.

I'm certain most sports bettors are aware of this particular feature. A bit more useful for NFL games. If BitBook.biz could offer that feature, it would add a pretty significant jewel to an impressive list of features that I already find to be quite appealing.

Keep up the good work, BitBook.biz!

Great suggestion. I believe these are also called "action" bets. I think our next big feature along these lines will be parlays. After we get parlays set up, this type of bet could be a great step. Thanks!

if bets are basically the same as a parlay. "Action points" is where you make a bet and if a team covers by 5 points, then you win 5 units. If it covers by 3, then you win 3 units. The same occurs when losing. Most books set up action points with a 10 point cap. The only problem is that if you bet 1 BTC action points with a 10 point cap then you would have to place the bet with 10 BTC plus the juice in case you lose by 10 or more.

bit365...guys with litecoin gaining market share (currently trading at $3/LTC), would it be possible to wager with both at your site?

There is no sportsbook that currently takes litecoin unless I am missing it.

+1

I also support our friend from above.

Please also consider the adoption of Litecoin in your business and you are going to be the first one in your niche (sports betting market).

LTC does not compete with BTC, LTC is just BTC's complement...
Where does litecoin trade? Also, what wallets do you use for litecoins?

Isn't that how all books work? If it says "pending", it means that it's not final. You can't grade it as a win or loss until the match is over.

You have Nieminen +5 +106 for 1 BTC and Nieminen +526 for 2 BTC and they are pending.

Looks good to me. It says "pending" and it is a pending wager.

whatsgoingon- Nothing against you but I don't put a lot of trust in something new like this. I do like the other 3 that are here. That said, I'll give it a shot tomorrow

The one bet I made here did pay out, but I did bet the minimum and they really do need to build trust...
great to hear. I hope that others give there experience at first.............. I also wish the best to a new gambling site. We can't get enough.

Can you tell me what time that you sent payouts today? You've been great as far as paying out winners but for some reason it looks like they are still being delayed on my end again. Nothing has come in yet. Thanks

The last payouts for yesterdays bets were made at about 11am UTC/6am ET. They all have 50-60 confirmations at the time of writing this. I don't want to post blockchain.info transaction URLs here since I don't know which one is you, but you should be able to see them there if you know the addresses that you typically use.
Just got it. That's strange. The confirmations are exactly what you stated so it is something here on my end. Thanks

Must have been on my end since I also see the confirmations. This is the first time it happened so it seems that the fees are fine. I use blockchain. Thanks for the reply.
