I stick mostly to Litecoin and Ethereum as far as alt blockchains, they are both accessible and widespread. Ethereum gives you access to tokens and a nifty programming language. I love the idea of the global decentralized & deterministic computing machine.

You will need to work minimum 4-5 months to get recognized, and there is a good chance you will never make it to the top famous guys there, the competition is too big.
