So SDC will not have its native marketplace anymore right? And this coin becomes worthless?
This is what was announced recently right?
SDC development is discontinued, the entire team + some new people have moved to PART. You can exchange your SDC for PART at 1:1 rate for the next 30 days. The marketplace will be the same, censorship will be client side ANYONE: If you're interested in this project check out https://particl.io/#intro and read it over a few times, all in all this is great news!

Last update from the sdc-dev posted on the Slack/riot channel on 28th Feb Hey Guys, I really wanted to give you news by now but Ii'm just letting you know that we're working full steam and we want to do things properly. Please hang tight for a bit longer, we will tell you more on 17th March by 10:00 UTC!
From idling in the channel I've read that there are additional members on the development team. The developers seem genuinely excited at what is currently in progress, but no real details have been said following the NDA after the group meeting in Hong Kong. There have been a few small chances to pick up coins slightly cheaper but we seem to be fairly stable around $1.50-$1.70 mark. There was a fast dump of 70-80k coins over the weekend, which I guess was trying to panic the market but it recovered within a few hours.

Greetings, I'm running shadowcoind and my wallet is encrypted. The correct command for making a payment should be: sendtoaddress <receiver> <amount> <comment> <comment-to> <narration> - sending funds from: https://umbra.academy/index.php?title=Introduction_to_ShadowcoindBut in return I get this error: Error: Please enter the wallet passphrase with walletpassphrase first. So I need to pass on my wallet passphrase in the command, but how? I haven't used shadowcoind but have you tried? walletpassphrase <password> 90 This should unlock your wallet for 90 seconds.

How do I run the wallet in lite mode?
I checked the box "thin mode" under the options tab, then I restarted the wallet. This didn't work though, and now the wallet is stuck syncing at 0% and no transactions are coming in.
Whether its thin or tight, it would not run. Could the thinness of SDC wallet change the fact that substandard quality of gui interface poses a treat to stability of SDC price. If u stay here any longer u will get fed with UMBRA hype and involuntarily coerced into buying of this shit on the open market which u cant feel happy with. Has this been run through google translate or am I talking to a bot? Your point is to try and attack one of the most beautifully crafted cryto GUI available? Please post pictures of the Umbra wallet and give us your critique

and what is the new market? Is the market locate on the blockchain or just a site on the onion network?
The market will be the first decentralised fully anonymous marketplace, I think it will run over tor or i2p I presume building on Shadowsend (the wallets built in encrypted messaging) http://aboutshadow.com https://blog.shadowproject.io/

Its backup to 0.00185 already
A lot of alt coins have taken hits over the last 2-3 days, but I've no idea why.

Does anybody know why I am stuck on this block - I was stuck on a previous block but read on a forum what to do and it proceeded to sync until it got to this block - now I have no idea how to get it synced. Get the latest UMBRA client & then sync fast using https://shadowproject.io/en/tutorials/fast-sync-blockchain

I'm not Admin, but check this first Has your client fully synchronised with the blockchain? This is how you can synchronise fast: https://shadowproject.io/en/tutorials/fast-sync-blockchainMake sure you have the latest client as well, 1.5.0 is available from aboutshadow.com (For your own safety do not trust download links posted on this forum)

I've not been able to find answers to these questions so apologies if they have been asked before.
1. If all the outputs of a transaction are zero knowledge how does the network or miner know what the fees will be?
2. Is there any way a shadowcash user can provide the ability for a third party to see their anonymous account activity, e.g. like a Monero "view key", without exposing their private key?
3. Is there any way to enforce instant transactions on the network like Dash? Or does shadow cash rely on the normal method of confirmations until statistical certainty on non-reversibility (due to chain reorganisation) reaches a certain threshold.
4. Why did the blockchain switch from PoW to PoS? Was this to seed an initial distribution of coins?
5. Where can I read up on the specific type of PoW used?
6. Where can I read up on the decentralised market protocol?
You might get some answers on the SDC slack channel https://slack.shadowproject.io/ Some documentation here but not sure if its of any help https://doc.shadowproject.io/#about-shadow

I was not able to sync the client v1.4.0.1, stuck at block 994543, 6 active connections. What is wrong ?
The latest version is 1.4.0.3 you can get it from https://shadowproject.io/en/gettingstartedThe quickest way to get everything sync'd up fast is by downloading the blockchain from https://github.com/shadowproject/blockchainFor your own security double check you are getting the correct official downloads, do not trust links posted/quoted on this forum.
