That is very young actually.
What made you so interested into bitcoins?

Hmmm, and why exactly do you want to know that ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ? If you're wondering, it's an anti-rape condom.

I don't know how many out of 100, but what I do know is that it is very important.
Differences can be seen between first world countries and poor countries. I have seen cases where people don't want to be anywhere near people who have HIV, while it is impossible to get HIV from someone else if you don't have any intimate contact.

In 2026, mining would be very unprofitable. Transactions would take days or even longer and the bitcoin is going to die at that point.
i doubt that bitcoin will ever die, in my opinion people will surely be using bitcoinis all the time and there will always be miners, i think that we might reach such price in 2026 Hmm, maybe you're right. Maybe it will be substituted by something else that is even better than bitcoins. But only time will tell.

It would be very difficult to take it down. More than millions of people are using it, so it would be practically impossible to do so.

I recently adjusted my strategy to the following:
- Bet 0.00001 BTC on a 95% chance roll. - When I lose that roll, I increase the bet to 0.1 BTC. - After the win, immediately go back to 0.00001 BTC.
Won 0.2 BTC yesterday with this, but lost 0.1 BTC today with the same strategy. There is always a chance of losing it, so it's definitely something to be careful about.
Gambler's fallacy. Doesn't matter whether your bet is 0.00001 or 0.1, the odds are the same of losing. "Prebets" are absolutely worthless statistically. Best strategy if you're gambling: bet all your bankroll on whatever payout you want, but do it once and leave afterwards. The more you bet, the more you lose [statistically]. Hence, you go all-in with what you're willing to lose. As you bet, the house edge clips winnings from you until you go broke. Best strategy: don't gambleYea gamblers fallacy is strong in some ^^ . Its better to take up skill based games like poker. Ok yes some luck is required but its better then blind pickings. Or one could try betting which is also better than blind pickings. Looking back at my strategy, although it does seem interesting, I would strongly advice not to use that strategy. I may have won some bitcoins with this, but I certainly lost a lot. As actmyname already said, the best strategy of them all is not to gamble. Gambling, not even once.

Partially yes.
For example, bluffing is taking a huge gamble. The main difference between professional poker and poker on the internet would probably be reading the cards of the opponents, doing the right betting strategy, et cetera. It it also a psychological game, which takes a lot of time and effort to master.
As long as you cannot predict the outcome, it's a gamble.

I made this post to clarify things. Many bitcoin users associates price increase to bitcoin. In my experience with bitcoin the price increase lies on the demand and supply. A skyrocket price increase has no relationship with halving. It's funny reading things that halving is equivalent to price increase or decrease but I would like to hear ideas from knowledgeable members. It would help and also correct me if I am wrong.
The halving is purely psychological and historically has not doubled the price of Bitcoin. If the price does not crash then this will be the first time it has doubled it's value due to "block reward halving". I'm not certain there is a valid clarification, it's simply the market "deciding". ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) i don't know where you bring your history but in the real bitcoin price history the last block halving happened on 28th November, 2012 and price of bitcoin has gone up from $10 in Oct-Nov 2012 to $20 in Jan 2013 (it nearly took 2 months to reach double price) yeah if you look at the day halving happened, then yest nothing happened that day. I think that also had to do something with the illegal drug market et cetera. That is also one of the reasons why the bitcoin became very popular. I'm not very advanced in bitcoins, but I do have studied economics for a time. What I have learned is that the price may rise because of this, but it would most definitely not skyrocket.

I have 1 BTC right now, so that would mean that I would have 100,000,000 $. Of course, this will never happen ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) ... Who knows? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) thats not possible to happen as long people use bitcoin and miners continue to mine bitcoin. But it will happen I guess next century ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) and everyone who are bitcoin holder and has even 10 bitcoin will be one of richest man in this community and even whole wolrd. Well thats only my opinion no hard feelings guys. Cheers! I do think that the price of the bitcoin will rise, but going to 1$ / satoshi is a bit extreme. I think that in about a century, the bitcoin has been replaced by something else that is even better, faster and more anonymous. Sadly, I won't be alive in the next century so I would never know ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) .

I'm a bit confused as to when the halving is exactly...has it happened yet? It's 1:41pm EST right now.
Price isn't doing anything really. At least not much in the last week.
The halving is more of a long term event. So, price changes should be seen in a couple of months. Right now, it has almost no impact.

Wtf, Block Reward says BTC16.66666666??!
Works fine on Blocktrail. Blockchain.info is a shitty block explorer.
Block 420000 ended with a1, so congrats to ducatitalia for winning the first prize! Block 420001 ended with 85, so congrats to tryphe for winning the second prize! (So close! I picked 88) Block 420002 is non existent right now Aww, I had 1a. Still thanks for the amazing raffle. It was fun! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Yeah! I hope that the halving only has positive consequences on the price, but you'll never know.
Right now, just 13 blocks to go!

Is that 1.709 BTC or 1709 BTC? It is a big difference between the two of them ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) .

Interesting strategy. But I won't risk my 0.1 BTC in dice. That amount is already a lot for me. You may have a chance to double it but same equal chance of losing it all either. Thanks though. Maybe I'll try this with low amount only. Of course, there is a chance that you'll lose 0.1 BTC. As far as I know, there is no real strategy to win for 100%. It is always a risk, no matter what strategy you are using.

Idiot, I did find this file. I just didn't see my name, so I thought it must be another file rather than the one you linked to. no other file on where participants name are listed, you only posted your registration yesterday so maybe wait for OP to accept you or not, maybe tomorrow he will be online to check things up Don't be so fast dude you need to wait for the campaign manager to accept or decline your application and once you are going to be decline you are going to read it here. But if you are going to be accepted you are going to see it on the spreadsheet. Op will not tell if you are accepted. Yeah I just was curious, because I've never done this before. Hence my noob question ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) .
