How out of the question is it to add cpu mining (like using XMR stak) to this OS?

I just started RMA for D3 as well for faulty boards.. maybe with the custom bios undervolt it works better?

Hi @sunbreak,
Is there any update on the project? Hasn't heard anything for quiet a while. Anxiously waiting.
Best, CryptoDance
I'm hoping for an update soon too

I'm also waiting to hear about the new 2700 and 2700x what hashrate they get cpu mining

I ordered one of each, even tho paying with btc I had to pay extra because their usd/btc rate wasn't set right, it was the most convenient way for me to pay. I had ordered 1x A4+ from them before as my only previous experience with buying from Innosilicon.
Wish me luck!

In reference to the above post: Thanks for your post. I've been looking for an example of the setup screen for the Giant B. I hope to have one online sometime today. Do you see a significant difference in your mining when using the "baikal-fan", "scan-time", and "no-submit-stale" options? Thanks. Funny you bring up these questions about scan time and no submit stale.. I have a 4 baikal Bs mining pascal on nicehash.. this could be totally random but i set one of them to not have either option on and another to only have scan time on.. the other two have both on. It seems that the one with only scan time often has higher accepted hashrate than the other 3.. and another maybe.. the one with both disabled has higher accepted hashrate then the other 2 but less than the first..this could be wrong as it only shows current hashrate and not average over 6 or 12 hours for each rig unfortunately.. but i'm thinking of setting all of them to have scan time enabled but no submit stale disabled as that does seem to make a difference for pascal on nicehash (not 100% sure tho).. other pools it might not make a difference If this helps your hashrate, please send over a merit point or two!

the real question is if/when bitmain MAY toss the supposed 1.5gh 1,300-watt units and mine them over the summer
I suspect they have already deployed initial units to Hashnest to start replacing L3 / L3+ units there, but it was probably a small batch mostly for engineering/testing purposes to validate the design and to get the software calibrated. Speaking of hashnest.. I hope they re up the stock of the miners (or for new miners) sometime!

I'm trying to connect my miner and it does show up in the worker page but it's getting 0 hashrate, it works fine on other pools and even other pools with the same 3333 port. Any help? Seems like it just may be incompatible with my network or something like that

Does the new driver require you to go into device manager and disable and enable all the gpus like the blockchain driver? (to get the max hashrate)

After a power outage, I noticed that my "total chips" have gone from 64 to a lesser amount. Has anyone had this problem? I've reset each of the miners with no change in chip count. I have not tried reflashing the SD. I had this problem on my baikal giant x10.. but randomly after some days the total chips amount went back to full.. I've heard dissembling the hashboards and miner controller and putting it all back together may have fixed this problem for someone else

Thanks for the explanation of PPS vs PPLNS.. I still don't understand pool hopping completely, or orphan blocks though...
I will consider pointing my decred miner at luxor for sure.. I think I used to mine dcr at suprnova before.. guessing they were PPLNS

Bump, lowered price again.. get it here before it sells on ebay!

blakecoin is vcash? I didn't see a working mining profit calculator.. how much $ before electric does mining blake make?

Whats the shipping like to the UK?
I looked online and it wasn't very clear on usps internatinal shipping, definitely not more than $70 for the flat rate medium box but the regular box shipping might be only $35 shipping to uk. For you i'd drop the price to $220 + you pay the shipping cost once I find out the exact price when i go to ship it at the store Otherwise, BUMP

Hoping for $2 a day after the "supposedly soon" etn hardfork is wishful thinking.. maybe even $1 would be lucky.. its quite possible these will be making $0 a day after electric after (if) etn forks, and once the bitmain X3 (and the other cryptonight miners like pin idea i think has one and dragonmint) ship

Maybe the PSU isn't great.. or even the PSU power cord can make a difference if its not good or maybe not high amp rated

Baikal is now supplying a update for X10, including X11-Gost and NIST5 algo`s :-D
As usual, sgminer source code is not available from Baikal.
EDIT: Oh, they also say more algo`s to come - we know what those are :-)
What are those other algos? I looked through this whole thread but didn't see the list. I remember seeing the list posted in the other Baikal x10 thread but not sure which page it was on. The list was from the code of the x10 miner

What was the last word on when the new consumer nvidia gpus are coming out this year? The people that are good on RX mining, how to setup on simplemining (claymore) to run dagger-hashimoto with lower temps? Right now it does around 29.5Mh/s. I will be happy to lower down the temps and power consumption with lower hash.. but I cannot get it done. I've tried with 800 and 850 at voltage (currently are 900), lowering the power stage (right now is 4), playing with -dcri, -asm, but I cannot make it. Anyone got any advice? During the high temps (around 26-30 degrees here in Europe) I've just powered it off and I'm trying to find settings so I could lower down the temps and power consumption.
Thanks
I've heard smOS is bad (and can't really do it other than the power stages which doesn't lower it that much anyway) at undervolting amd gpus. The only way it run the gpus undervolted with smOS is to mod the bios with the undervolt Been running with SMOS for more than a year now, since ETH farming days, RX470,RX480 all with custom roms for lower power works well SMOS. Post RX and 570/580, NVIDIA was a perfect fit in SMOS, no BIOS mods needed, good power controls, simple and fast deployment and vast miner support for NVIDIA. Cant imagine buying anymore GPUs from AMD unless the produce a miracle. Niceee, windows has been annoying me much lately especially with all the updates messing with my mining and such... I already have my rx 400 series gpus bios modded but i still use afterburner for the undervolt. So I'm thinking of bios modding them again, like you said, with the undervolt in the bios and then just sticking with smOS.. seems like it would make things easier for me.. just have to figure how much of an undervolt i want in the bios mod
