Hello gus.. I have some rigs with RX 480 cards (5 or 6 cards each one) and i use 2 psu x 850W in each Rig. Now i am making some R9 390 rigs.. But i can see that i will need at least 850W PSU for 2 cards.. I tryed to power on 3 cards on a 1000W gold plus PSU and sometimes it goes off.. Is this normal?  |

I get back to ETH now..  hope V9 makes me get back to Zcash.. Why dont mine and hold, you dont have to sell at the time you mine, i mined a lot at price at 0.07 btc, and sell eveything on last pump at 0.13, so just stop crying and wait Bullshit, everyone can read graphs backwards. I wont hold before .01. Just look at the supply graph and do tell, what gives if u hold the bag now? also not everyone can afford to hold, some people need to sell to make back the costs of the elecetric used to mine the ZEC. large scale miners with a decent income from Crypto and those have been around a while with a good stack of BTC behind them can afford to do this but not everyone (or of course those will really cheap or free electric, those lucky people). There are of course going to be those who are mining and selling whilst the price is still fairly decent because its how they will make the most money the quickest. I see quite a few people on this thread keep saying but just wait until the coin is picked up by a dark web market or ransomware asks for it to be paid to a z wallet but what if this never happens? its quite possible that ZEC doesnt have anything major happen and it just becomes another coin to mine. You could be holding on to something that eventually ends up being worth less than monero or eth. At the time of me writing this ZEC is struggling to stay around the $50 mark. Now the slow start has ended and the supply of coins gets greater I can only see the price going one way and that is down unless some major news is announced that the coin has suddenly become useful. agree! |

Optiminer is back and releasing update of his miner for win and nix
Yup, and it's slightly faster Claymore's v8. There is no Optiminer release yet (0.6.0 is old) 0.7.0 will be released in a few hours It will be faster than claymore v8? |

I am just not sure if Claymorem iner will do that . I guess they have perfected stuff for sgminer. but I can be wrong This way is more profitable than using nicehash? Nicehash also uses claymore miner now... |

I'm just saying that I loop the applications with -noretrydelay -1 the program just quits when its time to switch and the next programs starts up not sure why your dag gen is so long...
i know, i have try this and speak about on my first post. dag gen is long because i have a small cpu ? only 4GB of ram ? i don't know. just it's very long and i search a speed switch. Sorry for the newbie question but, please, can you make a tutorial for the community explain how can we setup this? |

eth and zec are more profitable by far than nicehash
I really appreciate on your effort registering on BTT just for this one comment. You really must like NiceHash. But while you are here, what's your mining hardware? Hi all and Claymore  Today i try the multi-algo switching on miningpoolhub with zcash and eth claymore's miner. it work but i have some problem. i have try to lauch in 1 bat file, but generate dag is long. also i launch zcashminer and ethminer in same time on port 12xxx miningpoolhub. one of miner make nothing, another mine. it's ok. now my problem : 1- fan management ... 2- watchdog (who make restart the eth miner and regenerate dag file) ... for 2, i think just make -wd 0 or use -r 3600 (for example) for 1, i don't know what i can do !!! what do you think of this ? any help ? someone use multi-algo already with claymore's miner ? Zcash and ETH??? Are you sure? |

For the profits that they generate at the moment they are overpriced. They can easily mass produce them and the profits will drop by half for X11.
I would buy if they were cheaper, not 1 year ROI.

Claymore,
Do you have a project to make a miner that auto-switch to the best altcoin proft like nicehash did? I think it will be amazing this feature using your miners.. and i will be very glad in pay your fee as always..
You can already do this by mining at an auto-switching pool using Claymore. What would be useful is for Claymore to auto-switch POOLS based on profit, he can dream big and combine all his miners controlled by a separate program that looks at the pool API's and starts the appropriate miner. yes, it is a nice project.. it will be great switch not only the pool, but also the altcoin.. |
