A question to JL777: Coincidentally found, is it you https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewMemberInfo.do?userName=jl777
and was the account related to Komodo or Supernet in any way?
As probably most of us, I would be really surprised if he answers you in a yes or no format, if any.

Ripple had an xrp distribution using WCG back in 2013.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - The markets dirty little secret on: May 13, 2018, 02:04:52 AM
Announcement - Making NEWB Market More Simple

Although, we tried very hard to keep NEWB on C-Cex exchange unfortunately C-Cex decided to delist us. Far from being a negative this event opens up a great opportunity for us to simplify the NEWB market.

Since the beginning NEWB tokens have existed on two separate blockchains. 51% of tokens on NXT Blockchain and 49% of tokens on Ethereum blockchain.  This situation was complicated and caused confusion for the community.  To fix this problem we plan to migrate both the 51% of NEWB on NXT and 49% of NEWB on ETH into a single Ethereum token with 100% of coins or 100 million tokens.

This move will bring major benefits for our community:

1. One Wallet (Ethereum).
2. NEWB market becomes united.
3. Marketing becomes easier.
4. NEWB token integration into Newbium platform becomes easier.

Timeframe: 4 months

We plan to complete the migration before September 30th, 2018.  The majority of the time will be taken up with R&D specifically contract code but also deep study of new ERC standards for example ERC777.

NEWB_NXT to NEWB_ETH Swap

If you have NEWB token on NXT blockchain or on C-Cex exchange then you will need to swap your tokens for NEWB tokens on Ethereum blockchain.  Please see the swap instructions here: https://coins.newbium.com/post/16034-newb_nxt-to-newb_eth-swap

Good news to simplify to a single token!

Have you considered migrating to a Komodo assetchain instead, I think they are far superior to erc20, you get a separate chain all to yourself, much faster, cheaper, and via delayed PoW you end up with Bitcoin level security for your token.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin with EnergyParty webwallet @ www.EnergyExchange.eu on: May 13, 2018, 01:49:40 AM
Hi ENRG community,

It is strange that we are so weak now on Bittrex today!
[...]
Have a great day,
Jan

That is indeed strange! People don't seem to see the value in EnergyCoin.
I wish I had free BTC to pick up these way to cheep EnergyCoin from Bittrex.
The comming months are very promising!

I'll just keep on staking and supporting the network, because I believe there is a great future for EnergyCoin!

Many people can not use bittrex since they froze accounts of non verified users without any grace period to withdraw before the terms and conditions were changed. I can not trade ENRG now, and hope you guys get listed on a decentralised exchange like BarterDEX asap.

Freedom loving people should be cautious about handing over all your identity documents to strangers on the internet! Bittrex are unethical exchange, they have confiscated millions of USD in value from people like me, avoid them!

In a market full of hyped projects sometimes the hidden gems are the ones that adhere to the KISS principle, one such project IMO is CBX aka Bullion (formally Cryptogenic  Bullion).

CBX has low inflation of 2% but adds a simple innovation to tradition PoS whereby coins in offline wallets do not age, so the 2% inflation is only earned by coins in online wallets. This simple common sense change means stake returns only get paid to wallets that are online helping to secure the network, which just makes sense, stake interest is only paid to active wallets, and that means actual real returns for staking are positive i.e staking returns more than inflation so your share of coin supply is actually increasing. This simple feature makes CBX one of the only cryptos I know of that actually pays a 'real' passive income from staking on a regular PC without burning loads of electricity. I consistently earn 8-14% return from staking, which inflation adjusted is 6-12%.

All the five requirements are met by CBX:

1. Dev team active since 2014, PoSP (Pos participation) wallet working since 2016 afaik
2. Use case - low inflation digital store of value with ability to earn real above inflation returns
3. Ridiculously undervalued with MK approx 3M USD (not a typo, yes, well under 10 million USD)
4. Running since 2014, solid dev team, communication is regular, tech updated and supported, Masternode release imminent
5. CBX has had continuous development since mid 2014, a crypto version of a barrel aged whiskey

Just a matter of time IMO before CBX gets more appreciation as a KISS dependable digital store of value, a 100x gain would still give CBX a relatively modest MK of 300 mil USD, +4 years of continual dev support makes CBX a potential next big thing for institutional buyers looking for 'digital gold'.

1. Proven development team - already fully functioning product/software. Tweaks and improvements yet to come fine but the core product is functioning already.
2. Obvious Use case
3. Not already in the top 10
4. Not a scam
5. Long term commitment and proven staying power (not essential but could be a big consideration)
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HEAT Discussion and Technical info on: May 10, 2018, 08:59:07 PM
I've just written a brief summary on the rewards of HEATpool.org again for April 2018. You can read this here.

Currently the ROI in forging for HEATpool is about 2.6%. So if you are currently not forging yet (solo or in a pool), you are still missing out on some great benefits!

Also very worthwhile to mention, the chain has been running very stable now for quite a while!

Great work, I love your pool bro!
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PiCoin [POS+POW] [SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN] on: May 10, 2018, 08:27:51 PM
I don't see there is any chance PiCoin will survive.
From the very beginning, there is nothing new in it.
We should probably just forget it.

There was some good effort at a fair distribution and community building, but nothing more, so a migration to an assetchain on komodo would add some real cutting edge tech innovation, BUT, it would take a few guys with tech skills helping to migrate the blockchain data over to komodo. I predict many struggling coins and erc20 tokens will migrate to komodo assetchains this year, and first ones will have an advantage.

Where can we find this few guys with tech skills helping to migrate the blockchain data over to komodo?

Good question, probably need to get a bounty from Pi donations and then head over to the komodo slack and start a conversation. The komodo devs have a great platform with these assetchains, when you look into them you quickly realise they are far superior to ethereum erc20 tokens, much faster and cheaper tx fees, and they're independent chains, so don't suffer crypto kitties bottlenecks.

If you guys act fast you could be a good test case for them to refine the migration process, so they have experience when other blockchain and erc20 projects want to migrate.

You could even migrate over to komodo assetchain, and then restart the distribution to rebuild community participation.

Sounds good to me! Waiting for other GUY's to reply.

Count me IN.
Are you guys serious about what you are talking about?
PiCoin was dead long time ago.
This project is not worth continuing or migrating.

Seems like we need more clarity from KOMODO first in how they can Ultimately benefit PIcoin..?

Komodo does not need Picoin, they don't even know it exists probably. A Picoin delegation would need to approach them, which is 99% unlikely to happen without the original dev, even though a migration to a komodo assetchain really is the future path for 2nd and 3rd tier blockchain and erc20 tokens. Ball is in Picoin court, but unfortunately no dev anymore or even project leader.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: May 09, 2018, 11:31:19 PM
Old thread of it was a lot better, and also there were a huge amount of debates and more fuds, which can give us more of the ideas of this project

This thread is dominated by bots posting mindless repetitive garbage to boost the page count, the amount of useful informative posts is very low, almost makes this thread pointless to follow. At least when a thread is over run by FUD it can help if the fud raises concerns that get addressed,  the shill fest we have here achieves nothing.

Agreed. I suspect a lot of the old FUD posters made so much money last year they've retired. Or perhaps they moved on to sexier projects. Who cares about #40 alt coin? We need a new gen of nay-sayers. This thread is boring, and the price moves when the market moves, regardless of Waves milestones. Full nodes release (Oct. 2016), DEX release (Feb. 2017), "fastest blockchain" upgrade (Dec. 2017). Nothing team actually does has yet affected a big break-out. Why will smart contracts be any different?

Yes, the market is fully saturated now, there aren't any big hidden gems anymore, crypto is becoming boring, lots of decent projects but too many choices available, we need the big shakeout to kill the crap, and send some of the remaining contenders to the moon, and others to tech purgatory where beta video ended up.

1st successful atomic swap

This is really great news, komodo and BarterDEX are the future of trading for privacy and security conscious traders, which really should cover every serious player in the cryptosphere. BarterDEX does have a steep learning curve at the beginning, but it's well worth the trouble to learn the new atomic swap trading paradigm. You always control your private keys, and you can trade without any kyc impediments.

I hope that BarterDEX or some comparable project will manage to get big and and easy to use and have a high liquidity. This would povide an incredible boost to the whole crypto market.

Yes I agree, since poloniex and bittrex have implemented kyc policies many first generation crypto traders with privacy and security concerns have left the markets and are waiting for something like BarterDEX to rejoin without all the hassles.

I expect BarterDEX will be user friendly with sufficient liquidity for mass adoption by early 2019, That's a realistic date, but for those willing to put in the effort it's still very usable today, they've just hit 100k atomic swaps milestone.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crypto News and Information Platform on: May 09, 2018, 11:09:26 PM
I like this marketing focus, but I think you could replace market with elite ...

"The elites dirty little secret"

To me the 'market' can be good or bad depending on if it is open and free of manipulation, so some markets currently are very open and fair. The word 'elite' is much more loaded as a negative, and it's the markets controlled by vested interests and power elites that the world needs changing.

Otherwise, a good strategy for Newbium,  education of the masses!

Thanks for the feedback but bare in mind we are referring only to crypto market.

Ok, understood, I was thinking you were referencing legacy finance industry like forex, shares, bonds and banks, which are chock full of dirty little insider secrets that rape the common people.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHIPS] KMD platform's LN app with realtime betting+decentralized shuffling on: May 09, 2018, 11:06:01 PM
I hope CHIPS will be released in 2018.
Keep up your hard work!

Chips is already released, you can buy and hodl today, we just have to wait for the games to be developed to use it, but they won't be Chips the token, it's already here, That's why getting a stack now is such a great opportunity, they're cheap as chips now, but once the games are released the demand will be huge. Once in a lifetime opportunity for those in the know!

216  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: May 09, 2018, 10:26:53 PM

Why dont you upload your ID, have your account verified, withdraw your coins and never come back? I think some people dont have the proper IDs to have them verified. There are some people who have multi-accounts on the site which they dont want to be caught red handed wash trading low volume coins.

I am pretty sure that's what a lot of people are doing, otherwise how to you explain the sudden drop in Bittrex market share since they started this verification scam.  Remember the old adage, "only 4% of customers complain, 96% will simply go elsewhere"

I see it ending either with the Bittrex shareholders screaming blue murder, and forcing management to do the right thing by the clients to stop the exodus, or Bittrex quietly fades away as more honorable exchanges take over Bittrex clients. Remember the AML, KYC cover story for suspending withdrawals on unverified accounts is bogus on two fronts. Firstly, Bittrex don't do fiat. Secondly they could move their headquarters offshore if they wanted to do fiat and skip all the nonsense. Either way, the don't have a feasible excuse for suddenly seizing their customers funds and holding them ransom until they get private information (which has value) from them.
Good points, there is no justification for what bittrex have done, I refuse to hand over my personal details to people who act dishonestly , like changing terms and freezing accounts without a grace period. People who do this would also be likely to sell the user data for profit, and maybe you end up like that guy in England with 4 balaclava clad gangsters paying you and your family a visit one morning in a crypto home invasion.

It is actually a legal requirement from the US Government. Bittrex don't have a choice in it. It has to do with AML laws and trading with embargoed countries.

I don't live in an embargoed country, my account was frozen without any notice or grace period to withdraw my funds because bittrex changed their terms of service overnight and required all accounts to become verified, when for the previous 2 years this was not the case. That amounts to theft, worse than bank bail-ins that happened in Cyprus,  at least those people get some bank shares, my funds have been stolen by bittrex, I can only get them back if I send them my personal details which are very likely to be leaked to other parties, like crypto gangsters who will increasingly target known crypto holders for home invasions and robbery.

Never give your personal details to known dishonest people, or incompetent people.

Changing the terms without any warning effected people from all countries,  not just embargoed ones. All bittrex had to do was the same as poloniex, give people advanced notice of the change in the terms of service, I think poloniex did not breach any US government laws by allowing a grace period for unverified accounts to withdraw, this isn't about government regulation, it's about theft.

I've finally managed to setup my wallet and have joined a stake pool, can someone tell me how the ticket process works? I know I buy a ticket, and then when it 'votes' I get some payment but how much does each ticket that votes successfully earn, is it a fixed amount or a % of the ticket price?

Stratis ICO Platform launching on 9th of May. Easily set up and deploy to Microsoft Azure with a few clicks and crowdfund any project.
https://twitter.com/stratisplatform/status/991363757514346496

Yep, hope the release can help the price, our rebounce ath is lower and lower than before, this time with good news we can't even hit 0.00085 btc, the price sucks and our market cap keeps dropping.

Masternode and breeze wallet mainnet release will bring attention to stratis, especially if there are trustworthy people offering masternode pools for smaller investors to profit from masternode earnings. The ICO market is fully saturated now, so many platforms offer ICO features now, but secure safe anonymising of Bitcoin, that is still strangely not available.

Monero forks of forks of forks, what a great idea! I know you guys are joking, but jokes have a habit of becoming billion dollar projects in the cryptosphere, just look at doge and NEM.

I think you can do better with the logo though, and I prefer wowneroj myself, maybe add some umlats like Motörhead on the first 'o'

Wöwneröj , Looks pretty good with two umlats
