201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which wallet is best for ERC20 tokens? on: December 12, 2019, 03:04:00 AM
It is good if it is web based, i.e. similar to blockchain.com. Otherwise, installation makes it machine dependent. Its not a BIG sum. So, high security is not a priority. Ease of use is what I am looking for. Needs to work with all kind of ERC20.

My answer is probably given already by previous posters but let it be. I just want you to know that my post is a plus one to theirs. Don't complicate yourself and choose myetherwallet. You can access it through myetherwallet.com. The wallet is perfect for all kinds of ERC20 tokens. That means all of them. And not just that factor. Myetherwallet or MEW for short will give you your own JSON file, password, and private keys. That means your coins are not theirs but actually yours.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginner needs advice for portfolio on: December 12, 2019, 02:41:51 AM
First, that reason that you choose a coin because of China is not going to be a wise decision especially in the coming year or two. The domestic government-controlled China cryptocurrency could be out in the next year or two or even sooner. That would mean death to coins that are solely or highly dependent on China. I would rather go for Waves and VeChain. Your existing list is already perfect. No need to make adjustments on them.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STPT is up by 135% in the Last 2 Months on: December 12, 2019, 02:20:20 AM
I don't have STPT in my portfolio but I have read a few posts about it. It is nice to see an altcoin that looks legit enough gain some ground in the ranks. Although it is still far from recovering its initial price, at least it has gained some nice growth. Those who purchased STPT during the initial exchange launching are still losing and have yet to receive a good profit. Bittrex is a nice exchange with probably the least faked volume but it is sad that it also means it has a very low volume in there, at least a couple of thousand dollars.

The initial price of tokens is always really high due to being new, either way, the team running the platform is committed to the project, they wouldn't have locked their tokens for 6 more months if they wanted to just get a quick profit out of the project. They have also announced the launch of the STP Ecosystem (https://medium.com/@StandardTokenizationProtocol/introducing-the-stp-ecosystem-84491865a775), which counts with pretty big partners like Ontology, BitMax, Block72 and many others.

But there are also a number of projects whose coin prices increased instead of decreased upon entering the market. The pattern of dumping of coins right away after the coins are listed on exchanges is an indication that there are more investors who are willing to let go of their coins with very little to no profit than investors who are willing to buy as soon as the coins are made available to the public. STPT is still more than 70% below the initial price. Token locking is very normal. Majority of projects are doing that.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: December 12, 2019, 01:57:59 AM
We are more focused on bitcoin than ever as most of the users wants to invest into bitcoin assuming a bull run post halving but nit many are planning to invest into altcoins, I think we need to focus on altcoins as well as there are coins like Tron, ADA and all which can pump anytime and priced extremely less as of now and even if bitcoin pumps it will have positive affect on altcoins as well so I think we should invest into reputed altcoins as well.
Bitcoin is indeed a good coin and you can make a lot of profit on that but if you’re a wise investors you should also buy altcoins because altcoins also gives opportunity to make profit. If you’re in doubt about buying altcoins then you must choose the best so you wont regret it. I buy bitcoin and altcoins at the same time, and I’m happy for the result of my investment.

It is not bad to spread our investment. There is safety and security in our investments if they are diversified. Bitcoin is the best coin but it does not mean that it does not decrease in price. The price of Bitcoin has also undergone bearish seasons in the past. In those times, there were several instances in which the altcoins are rallying. Altcoins are always great balancing options to our portfolio. Putting all eggs in a single basket is not a wise idea.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin btc- Why will always be on top. I see BitBall Btb as the next bitcoin 🤷‍♂️ on: December 11, 2019, 03:27:36 AM
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR BITBALL TO REPLACE BITCOIN IN THE LONG RUN 🏃

The answer to this question is a big no. Bitball will have to replace no other coin, much less Bitcoin. No other coin will be able to replace Bitcoin, neither today nor in the future. Bitcoin will continue to be the one and only Bitcoin. It may not be the best in terms of fundamentals in the near future but it will still be treated as the top-rated coin because it is the one that made the path for all including Bitball.

Bitball is just a shitcoin, one among thousands of others. It will grow if it replaces its being a shitcoin with a better project. It will have to compete against itself first before competing directly against Bitcoin.

207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 11, 2019, 02:36:19 AM
Let's hope the price moves higher again.  Grin
You can see the Altcoins are being sold off very strongly in the market, and the LTC price has dropped quite deeply from its peak this year. Until the BTC halving event next year, I thought it shouldn't be too optimistic about LTC's price increase.

And which coin should we be optimistic aside from Bitcoin? And are you sure about your claim that altcoins are being sold off very strongly in the market? I cannot see altcoins being sold off very strongly for the past many months. The past months are bad for most of the altcoins. Altcoins are all far from their recorded ATH which was achieved mostly in late 2017 and early 2018. From then on, most of them are already moving up and down at the low level. At least with Litecoin we know for sure that it is not stagnant in terms of growth and development.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinsbit is Legit exchange? or SCAM? on: December 11, 2019, 02:16:24 AM
Many negative feedback from users there , but i never heard the exchange is carry away their customers money.
But one thing that i know they held airdrops for 500$ worth value of their coin and ask the participant for doing KYC. But i think the real value will not reach 500$ instead of jusst under 50$, mark my words it will happen next year.

You have not heard that the exchange is running away the customer's money because they almost have zero customer. That is the only reason for having a clean record. They can hardly receive a truthful review because there is almost no one who can give them that. That volume is clearly a manipulated or fake one. This exchange is populated by bots. Too high volume of an unheard exchange. Wash trading must be very rampant in this site.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MATIC LOW PRICE AND THE BEST CHOICE TO BUY NOW on: December 11, 2019, 01:53:06 AM
hello everyone a big panic sell on matic on binance will it recover that mean x4 soon check my dear friends

I advise people not go into FOMO. It does not mean that a certain popular coin plunging in value very quickly is also a nice way to grab the cheap offer and buy a lot. It is best to try to know the reason before deciding. The plunging of the price is a sign of something else. People should try to know what is happening behind the coin before jumping into FOMO. There is a possibility that instead of rising, the price will still go down much lower.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 500,000 Tezos Deposited Into Binance: Staking or Dump Impending on: December 10, 2019, 03:03:53 AM
A deposit into Binance may be an indicator of what’s to come. One user just deposited some 500,000 XTZ ($800k) into Binance from an unknown wallet. The deposit set off Whale Alert (@whale_alert), which notified its followers of the transfer earlier today.

https://beincrypto.com/500000-tezos-deposited-into-binance-staking-or-dump-impending/

But let us all avoid jumping into conclusions immediately. People are already fond of tracking transfers or movements of large crypto amounts. All these are very normal. But people are really fond of creating a news out of it and then everyone else is free to speculate, create FUD, make conclusions, and so on that will affect the market but are actually baseless.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TWIT] Twit Coin - Tip a Twit for their Tweet ❤️ Social Media Tipping Coin on: December 10, 2019, 02:40:34 AM
Twit was designed to be a fun tipping coin for social media, That was the idea since inception, We do not currently have plans outside of that usecase and at the moment will not state if we plan to expand from that... I rather not give false hope, the coin is meant to be shared and gifted, not hodled and false usecases. Check out the website for more info. www.twit.rocks

As for your comment on if twitter/facebook decides to shut us down, we will have to cross that bridge when we get there, Twitter already silenced the bot once, but our team came up with a clever way to make the bot work without getting flagged by the twitter banning bot algo... which imo is really awesome! We might expand to Twetch / telegram / discord however we are not putting it in the roadmap just yet.

Outside tipping, is there anything else that this coin is useful? Or this is designed solely as a tipping coin? And what if twitter or facebook will not allow this coin to be used within their social media platform? What will happen to this project? Will it simply die or it still has to more forward with another approach and use? And what if Facebook will finally create their own token and twitter also? What will happen to this coin?

Are you not realizing that you are operating on a very narrow and limited space here? Twitter could come up with their very own token in the near future and make yours a little bit useless in their platform. Also, I have known and actually used DOGE a number of times for tipping, not only through social media platform but also elsewhere. And it has always been good with DOGE. The transaction is fast, the fee is very minimal, and the with a little value, the coin is really just perfect for it.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 10, 2019, 02:16:14 AM

Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?

Not really. Many altcoins are getting boycotted because they have no growth anymore. That is something majority of the altcoins deserve. But there are also altcoins that are still improving and providing services to the cryptocurrency community. It is not hard to think that the likes of Ethereum is more of an asset than a liability in the crypto community. Bitcoin dominance is prevalent because of its anticipated bull run in the end of 2019 and or the early weeks of 2020.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN] DeepOnion ONION New Private Currency ✅ DeepSend Release Date 13 Dec 2019✅ on: December 10, 2019, 01:54:24 AM
DeepSend Release is happening in a few days from now but the price of DeepOnion (Onion) is still very low. It remains to be in bad red right now even if the project is trying to build a marketing step on top of this development. Do you guys feel that this development and the release of it is going to cause the price of DeepOnion (Onion) to at least increase a little? I have been looking at the movement of DeepOnion (Onion) price and it is not showing anything new. It keeps on the same very low level. The volume is also badly performing.
No one can definitely answer your question, if someone did it's a blind guess. One thing for sure, the devs are dedicated to this project and they don't care about the market conditions.

I will gladly give you an answer!

The reason why DeepOnion is lying flat on the ground and has dead volume is because the devs refuse to take necessary step to bring this project to wide public - introducing DeepOnion to major exchanges like Binance or Kraken (right now this project is artificaly alive thanks to KuCoin exchange, that already a few times listed DeepOnion as being considered to be removed from their exchange and guess what? According to the shills in this thread, that's a success because the project was not delisted, while as we all know, it should not even be considered to be delisted in the first place if this project had any merit Grin). In order to do that, devs would have to stop being anonymous, but they won't because ''reasons''. ''Reasons'' being fuck raw the people who will put money in this project and run away with their money when the time is right. As long as they stay anonymous, they can pump and dump with facing no consequences.

Well, it could have given DeepOnion (Onion) at least a decent volume if it was listed on Binance or Huobi or even Kraken. The more the better, of course. But it will also have to be done alongside actual development of products. I can seen that the development team of DeepOnion (Onion) is pretty much busy with it. However, I can also observe, everyone of us can, that the developments are not really causing a decent movement in the price of the coin.

216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont have the right WHO OWES YOUR MONEY on: December 09, 2019, 07:10:16 AM
Their office is anonymous also. They do not have a known headquarters. I have also read a lot of news in the past that says Binance's operations are happening at locations that could move from one to another in just a quick time. They do not disclose any information that would lead them open to the public. Even the lowest employee of this large exchange cannot disclose very important data about Binance.

Are you really talking to a legit Binance support? He does not even use the right capitalization of letter.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 09, 2019, 06:27:26 AM
I have recently been quite curious about the many debates about which currency is better.
Many people say that they will choose Crypto because it is convenient and creates a common currency, bringing equality to all countries.
And some people choose Fiat money because they've been used to using it for decades and now they have credit cards and wallet payment apps online, so why do you need crypto?
Which side do you think is right? I want to hear from you sincerely.

In terms of a currency that will truly bind the whole world. Meaning, the world will become a single business community because there will be a single currency that will be acceptable to all and not just within a single country, Bitcoin is the perfect option. But when it comes to the domestic currency that does not require internet or anything related to it, fiat is the easy option. That is the currency in communities where there is not access to the technologies of crypto.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 08, 2019, 03:47:14 AM
If I could use crypto for all my purchases I'd do it for the following reasons:
-I would like to show my defiance to the banks and governments and not accept their inflated and manipulated fiat money
-I'd feel better knowing none of my payments can be stopped by the banks or governments
-I'd be able to pay at any time instantly
-I'd be able to stay fairly anonymous

Even if Crypto would cost me more I'd choose it to feel safe and independent.

There is no logic in what you are saying. I would also prefer payments with cryptocurrency, provided that no additional costs are involved. On the other hand, if the stuff is prized differently, then I would go for the lower prized option. For example, consider this example. For paying your utility bill, you have two options. Either pay $100 in fiat, or $110 in crypto. Which one you would chose? I would go for the first option, and for the difference ($10), I would purchase more cryptocurrency and add to my portfolio.

I can see logic in his argument. If that $10 is a big deal for you, then you will not be choosing that option and pay with fiat instead. But if you are rich and $10 is nothing for you and you really want to make a statement of support for the adoption of crypto and the resistance of the banking system, you would pay with crypto even if that is a little more expensive. That is also the same path I would take if I have all the means to do it. I would never use fiat once again if that is possible.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: Top Three Emotions to Check to Succeed! on: December 08, 2019, 03:17:21 AM
Greed is very much the number 1, greed takes away fear and builds fake confidence that blinds you until you have lost it all, greed works most times but not always and it can as well get you in trouble even after losing all.

This emotions is the first to be checked before others, fear is a daily emotion everyone faces unless you are spending the right amount that you are willing to lose then fear is not a factor.

no fear isnt the one that we feel ever day  .  i believe that people are not fearful on some days but they are too courageous to the task that they wanted to finish but somedays the courage drops and turn into fear  . good thing that greed can sometimes enter which again remove the fear that we feel  . its better to be greedy sometimes to stay motivated but make sure that we know how to stop our greed so that we wont end up loosing what we already gathered

Greed is different from our moderate desire to have more or to desire more. Greed is already on the side of excess. Which means that greed is already more or less uncontrollable and is not anymore within reason. When greed comes in, there is more reason for one to loss than gain. With greed, people are easily fallen to scams, ponzis, HYIP, and many too good to be true offers. The main reason is that they are too attracted to easy money. Fear, I guess, is the opposite?
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Icos facts on: December 08, 2019, 02:51:47 AM
There are a lot of Icos ongoing without specific products. I still believe many of them are going to give us a huge adoption in this space. But the problem is many Icos are planning to get investments by providing nothing with a solid scamming exit plan. You won't be able to trace them by reading their WP, Team, activities even company formation. Recently I saw an ICO, they were genuinely working to do something but later they ran away with a bit of raised money. They closed their website, TG group and everything.
Can anyone suggest to me how to choose the scam icos ?

How to choose the scam ICOs? Do not choose them. Avoid them like the plague. It is very easy to spot a scam ICO nowadays. If you random on the ANN or bounty section of the altcoin board, you will most likely see a scam project. Majority of them are scams. It is not hard to look for scam projects but it is very hard to look for legit projects.

They are not going to give us a huge adoption. They are actually making adoption hard because people are already becoming doubtful about crypto projects because many of them or their friends are once victims of these scams. They will only make this space look dirty.
