201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IGNIs and Bittrex on: January 02, 2018, 04:02:04 AM
I think Bittrex already have the Ignis tokens but will not add or distribute it unless everything is working smoothly. As always Bittrex have lots of standards. I am still hoping for my Bitcoin Diamond.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 02, 2018, 12:59:54 AM

How big of a deal is AMP? I've been following for a little while and see the jump in volume etc.. what is the reason for this and how big of a return do you guys see AMP going from here?

I expect $5 as easy target Cool and this is the main reason for rise:

The February 13th Update – WildSpark Goes Mainstream

The major update, due to be released on February 13, 2018, will shift WildSpark from an extension into a full web-app. It will provide an extensive enhancement to WildSpark’s core capabilities, with a multitude of new and powerful features:

Threaded commenting system for each piece of content, with in-browser notifications facilitating an ongoing discussion.
Support for content from various platforms in addition to YouTube, including text, music, images, and GIFs.
Amplifying content, with the recipients getting AMPs, using any type of currency – crypto and fiat.
Creating personal profiles, building a unique WildSpark identity.
Earning rewards for referring people to sign up and use WildSpark.

Good to hear these updates guys. I will continue to hold. The real potential of this platform is yet to get materialize and I can see a wide room for growth. We will be skyrocketing soon.

204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: January 01, 2018, 02:55:57 AM
If bitcoin still alive investing on altcoin is still worth. But in this case you must to choice good altcoin to invest like Ethereum and many more who have big volume.

I know some people who hunt for not yet known coins. Good projects and solid teams with very low market capitalizations. Accumulate slowly and hodl.
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I hold BTC 0.05 for future ? on: January 01, 2018, 02:26:28 AM
0.05 btc is a very little amount. Do some research on some altcoins and ICOs and try buying some. Altcoins can make fast profit when done properly.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: December 31, 2017, 12:06:28 PM

ethereum will be hampered by ICO projects so it can not cross the BTC

Hampered? Do you even know that many of these solid projects under Ethereum is making the network stronger? Gnosis, Wings, Golem, Bancor amd many many more.
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 30, 2017, 02:13:09 AM
Are people still expecting a deeper correction by January? Looks like bitcion is already behaving at 14k to 16k area. Let the alts bull run starts?
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin less evil than PayPal? on: December 29, 2017, 12:27:58 PM
If we consider Paypal evil (I do), should we consider Bitcoin less evil?

Paypal allows chargeback fraud and is a feast for scammers
Then again
Bitcoin doesnt allow chargebacks and is a feast for scammers because of that

I think Bitcoin, however, cant be regarded as evil cuz its decentralized or semi-decentralized(china)

what do u think fellow people of Bitcointalk?

~CfA~
Paypal can be used in fraud or scam due to charge back while in Bitcoin, our funds safety depends on our activity and behaviour online wherein carelessness is the only risk to allow others to access or expose important things like private keys, passphrase and credentials. We are not in full control of our funds in Paypal unlike Bitcoin which is a decentralized asset that we can easily and safely control in a safe place like paper or hardware wallets. Bitcoin does not allow charge back because it has an irreversible feature. Bitcoin is also faster than Paypal in terms of transactions.

That is the good thing about bitcoin. We cannot say it is evil because it is decentralized and devs cannot gain anything from it. And its blockchain is open to everyone. Honesty with no one controlling it.
209  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: December 29, 2017, 11:51:33 AM

The higher the possibilities of returns the higher the risk. The lower returns means lower risk too. Altcoins can double your money in an instant 24 hours but it may also lose 50% of its value at the same time. You need to diversify to lessen the risk. Some crypto casinos are also accepting investments on their house edge.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: December 29, 2017, 11:05:59 AM
I think everyone that tried bounty campaign here in this forum used myetherwallet when a coin is under the ethereum network. I don't have any problems so far. Always never share your keys and don't forget your back ups.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: December 29, 2017, 07:11:17 AM
nice!! Bought at 870 sat
  • longterm hodl  Smiley
Got my long term hold too. I can see too many people fuding and shilling Verge. I prefer this coin than the rumored CIA funded ZEC.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: December 28, 2017, 09:12:39 AM
why was safex coin delisted at bittrex? does the devs have an answer for this issue? hope they will announce a new exchange listing soon. so that ill buy this coin once it will be listed in a much more safer exchange.
here you can find the answer:

I agree. But Im nonetheless interested in why SAFEX was delisted from other exchanges?
I just want to find out if this is the fault of safex somehow or if this is just related to the exchange and its interior politics?
it was delisted on bittrex because they interpretated safex as a security with dividends.
and they don't have the correct license they need in their country for trading securities.
but actually safex is not really a security.

the other exchange cryptopia delisted safex because of some individuals who assaulted them and accused them of manipulating the price.
that was enough for the cryptopia team to get angry and to demonstrate their power to punish the "bad safex comunity" for it by delisting safex.

all of this might be a big problem for day traders and weak hands.
but actually safex has never been a good coin for day trading, it's a long term project!
that's what several people said from the beginning.
but alot of day traders and nervous kids didn't want to believe this and kept on day trading.
now they are very shocked and angry that this coin is "dead" for day trading at the moment, as you need exchanges to trade.

but for the long term holders nothing has changed.
it is still a very promising long term project with alot of potential.
we don't need any exchanges for hodling this valuable coin!

so in my eyes it's not a bad thing that our community gets rid of the whining day traders.
we don't need them to fud all the time.

safex will get listed on some exchanges soon enough.
let's wait for the release of the blockchain and the market place and then we will see...
still alot of fuding day traders around here.
i say it again for you whining day traders, this coin is not for you.
for hodling this coin we don't need an exchange at the moment.

i can understand the ones with just little coins stuck on cryptopia though.
it really sucks that you cannot do anything about it and that you will probably lose those coins.

But Edgeless is also paying dividends right? It was also their issue early this year but I was surprised they got listed. Another dividend sharing casino VDice failed to enter Bittrex too. Still there are many exchanges to become an option though.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: December 28, 2017, 08:30:30 AM
Ethereum for me have high possibility of overtaking Bitcoin but I find it hard to happen next year. Maybe earliest late 2018 but still I doubt it. Lightning Network is possible for Bitcoin in 2018 so that will delay Ethereum ambitions.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2017, 07:29:28 AM
I think I have enough invested into bitcoins and other altcoins. Next year I will shift some of it into fiat for personal uses and some business ventures. The rest I will continue to hold and trade. I can see too much potential in crypto.
215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to trade efficiently? on: December 26, 2017, 06:40:41 AM
First of all you should keep in mind that day trading is quite risky for newbie traders, you can loose everyting in a moment. It's better to have a long-term plan, choose some coins and wait for profit. Trading is some kind of gambling in many ways. The same degree of risk, you should be really cautious and intelligently analyze how the trend goes, then you will make more profit.

Seriously? Trading has the same risk to gambling? You do know gambling casinos have house edge with land based casinos having higher.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: December 26, 2017, 06:07:04 AM
In crypto our only options are investing on existing coins, ICOs and mining. Mining depends on your place electricity rate while ICOs and other exisiting coins depends on your research skills and your confidence their technology brings.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 25, 2017, 05:38:32 AM
I have a question please:
How long could it take to transfer and confirm for example 1 ETH?

At the moment, at least out of GDAX, ETH transfer is the most economic compared to Bitcoin or Litecoin. It took me only 0.5 cents, compared to 1.5USD for Litecoin and Bitcoin.
Speed depends on number of current transactions and can be checked online dynamically.

0.5 cents like 0,005 USD? That is weird man, ETH is not known for its cheap transaction fees... during cryptokitties days I was not able to send anything cheaper than 3 USD...
I do like ETH and i mined some a while ago, but there are much better coins nowadays with much cheaper and faster transactions, like Bitcore (BTX), adding also airdrop every monday, which is very nice.
I feel like ETH need to use raiden network (RDN) or something similar to keep the pace.

Actually, if ethereum network isn't clogged, transactions are way cheaper comparing most of the coins.

For example, i send some eth today with 5 gwei and they were 0.000105 Ether ($0.07) very cheap.

I hope that within 2018 these issues will be settled. My last eth transaction is more expensive than bitcoin.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: December 25, 2017, 04:51:59 AM

Because it is entertaining. Just gamble what you can only afford to lose. Criticize gambling when you don't smoke and drink liquor.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: December 25, 2017, 03:17:22 AM
I always made no regret on anything despite my hardships since I was a kid. We cannot change the past and only learn from it. But if given the chance to come back then I would have used nearly all my money buying bitcoins and other crypto when I had the chance starting when I was in college.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing BTC in Christmas and New Year Time ?? on: December 24, 2017, 05:30:44 AM
