201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what Satoshi purpose make a bitcoin? on: May 20, 2018, 04:02:08 AM
have you tried reading the bitcoin white paper? https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

I think bitcoin was created to give people money as Androids take all the employment in the next decades.

I have indeed read the white paper, it is very strange, particularly this part:

"Although  it  would  be  possible  to  handle  coins  individually,  it  would  be  unwieldy  to  make  a separate  transaction  for  every  cent  in  a  transfer."

This appears in section 9. If you think about what this seems to be suggesting, you may be surprised. Let's say you buy a pizza for $9.99, In order to 'handle coins individually', you would possibly make 999 transactions, the first one being like this, $0.01 / [CURRENT BITCOIN PRICE] For example, if bitcoin was valued at $8000, the first transaction would be 0.01/8000=0.00000125 btc.

Then it goes on to say this would be 'unwieldy'. This is a very interesting perspective, since this approach appears 'impossible', not 'unwieldy'. Unwieldy suggests that something is time consuming to complete, but also implies that whoever wrote this paper considers this crazy approach possible, which clearly this crazy approach is simply impossible for humans, but would be unwieldy for an artificial intelligence program.

Here is some more research about who possibly created bitcoin. I think it is interesting.

202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are joking about Bitcoin on: May 20, 2018, 12:35:18 AM
A token probably will collapse, since it is usually instamined and/or premined. Personally I think it is very risky to invest in tokens based on ethereum blockchain or other user issued asset. They often run the risk of hyperinflation. Some tokens are not like this, for example, liteshares https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/asset/LITESHARES/ a total of 4 billion tokens, with 1 billion already donated to the committee account. This is an exception, as most tokens are issued on command.

I generally only invest in legit proof of work coins.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long term vs. Short term on: May 15, 2018, 02:04:31 AM
I think if you research and believe the coin will do well, a long term approach is much much much more profitable.

The LTC and doge markets for Birdcoin are open.
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: May 09, 2018, 06:27:09 AM
I think crypto helps banks.

Here is an example. Before I got into crypto I was living pay check to pay check, and I never deposited money because I didn't have enough.

Then I discovered bitcoin and soon realized that in order to earn a large amount of money (i.e. btc), I needed to buy low priced coins over time and accumulate large numbers.

This has led me to use the bank more often. That to me shows bitcoin and altcoins help the economy and banks. If banks want customers so they don't fail, they should be happy to serve crypto investors.

If banks are against crypto, they have been misinformed, or they misunderstand crypto completely.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats the best coin to invest this up market on: May 09, 2018, 06:13:46 AM
TRX has done well, however, I personally stay away from tokens and stick to coins that are traditional proof of work.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is investing in bitcoins today late? on: May 08, 2018, 10:15:38 PM
Its not a matter of being too late for bitcoin, it is a question of whether investing into bitcoin is within your price range. For me, when I first got into crypto currency, bitcoin was $800 USD. I felt the same as I do now, that it is not in my price range. Sticking to this philosophy has earned me a tremendous amount more than if I had invested the same amount in bitcoin. Altcoins are the way to go if you want massive returns in my experiences.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 08, 2018, 10:09:42 PM
We are the new elite gentleman. This is true today, just as it was in 2011 when this thread was started!
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Life with out money ? on: May 06, 2018, 12:11:50 PM
No, you cannot live without money. If you are poor or homeless, it is necessary to have a source of food that is free. This cost is usually taken up by the government with things such as tax refunds. This pays the stores money, so they do not go out of business, and the economy doesn't collapse.

The problem of poverty is increasing rapidly worldwide, I personally believe bitcoin was created as a way to redistribute wealth. If all the worlds wealth is owned by a few, the world will be torn apart and we will witness the fall of modern society.
210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading actually worth it? on: May 06, 2018, 11:54:05 AM
Trading is a good stategy, however, I have seen that it is a slow process. The daily price movements simply are not usually great enough to make decent profits, unless you are leveraging with something like $100k.

I personally make huge profits by buying low priced altcoin (dollar cost averaging), then taking profits with something like 2% of my coin stash at like 10x profit, mostly to dollar cost average into other low priced altcoins, to ensure my portfolio is well diversified.

And of course, sometimes a situation arises where I can buy a large portion of a coin supply. These are very valuable coin hoards that I intend to keep for long term, with the goal to expand them over time.

I am by no means a professional, nor am I a millionaire, but I think this is a good strategy, because the main way I have lost money, is simply by selling all my coins. I have missed out on 30 btc specifically by selling all of a coin. I had earned over 1000% profit, the rally continue another 30x. It did make a full retrace, so a long term strategy is not necessarily the best, it really depends on the coin. For example, a hyperinflated staking coin will always full retrace dump.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is exactly SegWit? on: May 06, 2018, 11:38:50 AM
Segwit, formerly called segragated witness, is an advanced bitcoin protocol that enables arbitrary data to be stored on a blockchain. This is a powerful thing, because it essentially opens up the possibility to have smart-contracts, which allows for things like the lightning network and decentralized exchanges.

It also may have extensive use in the near future when Artificial Intelligence begins to generate smart-contract decentralized deep neural network weight and sigmoid calculations, in order to expand its (A.I.'s) unquenchable thirst for computational power.
212  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Is it right to kill a violent burglar? on: May 06, 2018, 11:25:42 AM
It depends on your jurisdiction. Most people are completely oblivious to how the law really works. For example, my natural country is called America, while a privately owned non-profit religious corporation called the United States claims to be the government.

A maxim of law states that any corporation may only interact with other corporations. This means that by interacting with a government official (police officer, etc), you are providing proof of the false claim that you are also a corporation.

It is bad to BE a corporation, because they are created by the government (United States), and therefore are owned by the government. We are actually REAL PEOPLE. But the ONLY way to provide proof of that claim (to be real flesh and blood), it is required to say 'under protest' before answering or doing anything a police officer says. AND by writing 'under protest' above your signature before signing ANYTHING.

By using the phrase 'under protest', you become a sovereign, literally a King or Queen. And you then have the right to create a Charter to set out cannons, which can be enforced in court (In Admiralty).

The only things a sovereign cannot do is harm another or damage property, however, if someone fails to use the phrase 'under protest' they are not a real person, and therefore may be legally executed, prosecuted, charged, tazed, kicked or robbed. (execution is a form of murder by a sovereign that has no legal repercusions if sufficient evidence is provided that the victim was a 'person' (legal corporation, i.e. not 'under protest', A.K.A. 'ens legis'.

I think tokens are lame status. If anyone can make an token, who cares?

Hey look I made a token called liteshares!

Yes, but I do not usually call them aliens. I call them advanced Men and Women of other star systems, since they generally are simply people like you or me, except they live about 10x longer than we do, and are immensly more advanced in their technilogical and spiritual evolution than anyone on Earth currently.

216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Crypto end? on: May 03, 2018, 11:25:22 PM
Crypto right now keeps on increasing its value and its very volatile as well. There are so many more rules and regulation are occurring against cryptocurrencies.

Do you think someday cryptocurrencies will end?
Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance cryptocurrencies will be more down?
Do you still beleive in crypto?
What is your favourite Altcoin?

No, I think crypto will stay, even dead coins that are not being traded anywhere. A coin trully dies when all the nodes are gone, but even then a coin could come back.

No, it is definitely not too late to invest in crypto.

Yes, there is always a chance a coin could drop in value.

Yes, I believe cryptocurrency will help people many ways, such as providing digital transfers of money globally, as well as an opportunity to gain massive wealth on value increases.

My favorite altcoin is EPC (experiencecoin)
217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do whales mainpulate the market? on: May 03, 2018, 02:47:15 AM
About 40% of all bitcoins belong to 1,000 users. 17.3% of the coins that have already been mined are controlled by top-100 BTC wallets.
Unfortunately, regulators react very slowly to the development of situation on the cryptocurrency market, so many of the existing rules are still blurred.

As with many types of assets, large private and institutional owners do conspire to manipulate the price.
In case of cryptocurrency, such manipulations go to extremes due to the immaturity of these markets and the speculative nature of assets.

Whales can inform or coordinate deals with a limited circle of people.
Many of the key owners of bitcoin have known each other for years - they believed in cryptocurrency at its dawn when the majority of people only laughed out of it.
So, in this way whales can potentially arrange things to crash or raise the market.

A whale is someone who mined bitcoin when it first released, or someone who bought bitcoin when it was really cheap. Also, a whale could be a rich guy from the stock market, or a business owner.

Whales don't necessarily manipulate the price, its just that when a whale decides to buy a coin, they spend a huge amount. Some whales have so much money, they could buy up entire crypto markets. And a few, if not more than we can imagine, have enough money to buy all the cryptocurrency in existence (just 1 whale).

So really it is a matter of perspective, for example, 1 btc is currently $9000+ when it was less than a dollar less than ten years ago. The first bitcoin faucet gave out 5 btc for free every day. The secret to wealth is finding affordable coins you like and buying massive hoards of them. HODL.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a good investment? on: May 03, 2018, 02:30:58 AM
When buying crypcurrency, Buffett said, "You do not invest when you do it. You are speculating. There is nothing wrong with that. If you want to bet others will come and pay more money in the near future, it's a kind of game. But that is not investment. " Are we participating in a game?

Yes, it is a game, a game of who can get the most crypto. However, it is a serious game that should me played carefully.

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to sell all alts? on: April 28, 2018, 02:58:14 PM
Here is how it works.

1. Poor guy wants a lambo, but he only has crap job.

2. He hears about bitcoin and buys $20 worth, at price of $9300, guy gets 0.0021 bitcoin. If bitcoin price goes to $20k, guy now has $42.

HOWEVER

If guy buys a low price altcoin with that $20, let's just say he buys $20 in experiencecoins. First he needs litecoin, which $20 in litecoin is about 0.13 LTC ($150). Then he would trade the litecoin for experiencecoin, which is available at cryptopia.co.nz.

At current EPC price (0.00000016 LTC) he will have about 800,000 EPC. When EPC hits $0.001 (1/10 penney), the guy will have $800.

Which investment out of these do you think has a greater chance to multiply your money many times over?
