201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PURPOSE OF BITCOIN UPGRADE? on: November 15, 2017, 05:14:24 PM
I was hoping that bitcoin will be upgraded but this did not happen. However, despite the fact that segwit2x was cancelled the miners still stabbed in the back and staged a landfill. Bitcoin predictable to hold their positions. Now I think the developers know how miners will operate and they can take steps to make sure this never happened again. Even if bitcoin loses in the price he recovers quickly, but modernization is necessary.
202  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-14] Bitcoin is a market for criminals and millennials, Dennis Gartman on: November 14, 2017, 02:25:12 PM
With regard to young people toy agree. They have no entrenched stereotypes and young people are always more easily accepts everything new. But for criminals I do not believe that they massively use bitcoin. I've never heard of that managed to detain the criminal group which used for their criminal activities bitcoin. It is a lie to create a negative image of bitcoin in the eyes of the public.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: volatility and transaction fees... on: November 14, 2017, 02:20:32 PM
They are two affected groups out their when you relate Bitcoin with its "volatility" and "transaction fees" and that are traders and also people who use Bitcoin as a mode of payment. Technically if Bitcoin is volatile then it is more of an advantage for the trader because he has a chance to profit many times in a day however it is a bad thing for Bitcoin users who use Bitcoin as their cash. Transaction fees can also affect the latter as they will hinder additional cost for buying something that will worth lesser when bought by other forms of payment.

Well as much as it hurts, its necessary for faster transactions. I just recently experiemced having my transaction stuck in the mempool and after reading blogs, i learned that to have fasrer transactions, a higher fee is necessary so if you really need to have it done, paying a little extra shouldn't hurt that much
I never use accelerated transaction. I pay a minimal fee per transaction. I don't care how much time my transaction is done. If you have problems with the passage of a very important transaction, you can absolutely free to take the help of suggestions on this forum under services. But I think that still this problem must be solved at the level of developers and miners.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Inflation on: November 14, 2017, 02:00:35 PM
This is only the beginning. The emergence of bitcoin may have the most negative impact on the dollar. In many countries people used to keep their money in dollars. The local currency is too weak to store savings in them. Now people prefer bitcoin. All released dollars will begin to put pressure on the US economy. 6-8% inflation is just the beginning of this process.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Save the value on: November 14, 2017, 01:56:13 PM
I never trusted the eth. Now we will see a fight between eth and bcc. I think that should win the bcc. It is as close in its properties to bitcoin. I doubt that bcc will be able to attract the capital to btc. Most likely bitcoin will return to its normal condition. Nobody benefits from his death. Competition between bcc and eth.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Massive bitcoin manipulation possible? on: November 13, 2017, 11:21:47 AM
Would it be possible for a group of extremely rich billionaires & other powerful individuals to manipulate the bitcoin market? e.g. Pump and dump, exposure to news networks, lobbying for favourable bitcoin regulation, etc Huh
Of course you can. What do we see now? Do you think all the people suddenly felt a great love for bitcoin cash? This is a mere speculation. After a few days everything will return into place. The only difference is that those who sold and bought bitcoin bch will lose all your money.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die? on: November 13, 2017, 11:13:26 AM
of course not. The price of bitcoin mostly as of now depends on the law of supply and demand and we can all say that bitcoin is the most used cryptocurrency as of today and that alone is enough to make it stable for a very long time.
The cryptocurrency market has no rules restricting the freedom of speculators. This leads to the fact that they can easily undermine the situation. The demand is only affected for a long period. Immediate price fluctuations do not depend on demand. The volatility of cryptocurrencies will always be. For such conditions we need to adapt then it will not interfere.
208  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal But Regulated or Unregulated But Illegal? on: November 13, 2017, 11:06:10 AM
i think its more beneficial to have a regular but regulated type of option in bitcoin, because it is much more easy to use bitcoin and you dont have to hide from the government in using it, unlike when it is illegal its like youre selling drugs because you have to hide from the government.
The popularity of bitcoin largely stems from the fact that it is not available to regulate whether anyone. All of what concerns the state is doomed. I am sure that the regulation may simplify the use of bitcoins only for a short time. Then bitcoin will lose its popularity. It is not related to illegal actions. People simply do not trust politicians and want to be independent.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preplanned strategy of Bitcoin on: November 13, 2017, 11:01:42 AM
I do not believe any predictions that relate to bitcoin. It's all a lie. Many analysts use for their PR situation analysis but it is irrelevant to predictions. No one can predict the future of bitcoin. The increase in the price of bitcoin cash is a temporary phenomenon. The Chinese collect the money and bury bch. Let these games play others. I will continue to hold bitcoin. I'm sure he will rise in price very quickly.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Mining [Miners and suggestions] on: November 12, 2017, 03:52:06 PM
I used to mine bitcoins is through nicehash. If they have not opened this possibility for me is an indication that more is not profitable to produce these coins. It seems to me that set mining is the most useless thing. You only spend time on useless testing. It is better to wait some time to get familiar coins for you.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please HELP run GPU mining on: November 12, 2017, 03:39:57 PM
The laptop is not designed for mining coins. You will not have time to earn enough to have enough to buy a new laptop. This the laptop that you have now will not live for 1-2 months. Now generally mining using GPU is in crisis. This process is the subjugation of large pools. In the future we will witness the crisis, many of the cryptocurrencies for that reason.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now Bitcoin Cash is In TOP 2 on: November 12, 2017, 03:33:16 PM
I don't believe in long life bch. But it seems to me that those who now holds the Ethereum need to think about. It seems to me that the era of his fall. After profitability fell prey eth that was to be expected. The miners have chosen bch. Small miners they are scared. Now the question is where will flow the capital of eth. I think it would be btc.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin cash rising all of a sudden? is it killing original bitcoin? on: November 12, 2017, 03:23:07 PM
I am quite surprised the way Bitcoin went down and BCH went upwards. This is a clear example that most people in crypto are just for profits, and decentralization and all those things are just cover ups. But it is also true that Bitcoin is having high transaction fees, transaction time, not good for micro payments etc. which were it's main selling points initially. I guess, the point is if you don't evolve, you go extinct. But of course, BCH is not an alternative to BTC. Hopefully BTC will find it's path to recovery.
I can subscribe to your every word. I think that the bch example the miners are trying to put pressure on the developers. This is wrong. Changes to bitcoin are really needed. Everyone is interested in it. Just need to know how to negotiate. War is not beneficial to anyone. Bch just a tool in this war. Its use and throw away like rubbish.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST TIME TO INVEST IN ALTCOIN!! on: November 12, 2017, 03:16:08 PM
Don't understand why you think that now is the best time to buy altcoins? All the money lost bitcoin gathered bch. I think that extra money to increase the capitalization of the other altcoins are not. After this speculative operation will run out of money back in bitcoin. Now is the best time to invest in bitcoin.

216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may ban Bitcoin! on: November 03, 2017, 04:34:08 PM
Indian government recommended shutting down cryptocurrency dealers operating in the country. But as mentioned in the article, market experts believe that this banning will not stop the use of bitcoin, and personally I think those acts will increase the use of Bitcoin in black market.
Governments should think of other ways to regulate cryptocurrency use.
Lol. You probably do not understand. This is government regulation. Why do you think that the government should promote the use of bitcoins. Any regulation always contains two options. One option with the plus sign is another option with a minus sign. Do you think that the government is interested in taxes on bitcoin? No. They will take the money through Fiat. They do not want to give people freedom. For them it is more important than any money.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EthOS + NiceHash + Cryptonight = help! on: November 03, 2017, 04:27:30 PM
From what I knew, CCMiner was for nVidia primarily - however if you can advise on the settings I will definitely give it a try as EthOS doesnt give much example for CCMiner or its config.

The settings is actually 2 parts, the top part being the local.conf and the second being the sgminer-gm-xmr.stub.conf file. However I have tried not setting anything in either the local or the sgminer and it didnt make any difference!  Huh Huh Huh

BTW I have AMD 580 on the rig if that makes any difference.

I added the tag #xnsub and the miner didnt start even after 5 mins. However I didnt mention NiceHash recognises the rig however hashing is 0.
Recently NiceHash really have any problems. You need to try to switch the pool. I have a long time to do Europe. I switched to the US and the problems disappeared. Today there were problems on all pools but it lasted about 1 hour. Maybe it was due to problems on their server. Now everything works without problems.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this SUDDEN price rise good for BTC? on: November 03, 2017, 04:20:32 PM
This sudden price rise is very good for the popularity of bitcoin and its future as investors will speak with their friends and families about it and this will make it even more famous. On top of this, if you can make 600% profit within 7 months it will draw more investors in and the price will rise further and this will draw more investors in and so on.  Smiley
The price will rise but to what extent? All investments in bitcoin dead. They do not stimulate the growth of production and therefore they may not provide the bitcoin real value. Bitcoin collects in the empty money that the government has released into circulation. What will happen then? If bitcoin is not going to stimulate the economy he is doomed.
219  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: A Quick Lesson in Purchasing Power on: November 03, 2017, 04:14:19 PM
As we watch, the price of Bitcoin is just now passing a unique milestone of $7,000 per coin. At this point, I would like to take a moment to point out the difference between holding government money Vs other assets...
http://thecoinsignals.com/a-quick-lesson-in-purchasing-power-d269.html

It is the inflation that is killing the value of our money and this is heightened because of the government propensity to just print more paper money (they called it as quantitative easing to hide its real meaning). This is the reason why if you are just leaving your money somewhere else or even at the bank then you are just losing money. Of course, the thing is that there would always be risks involved when we invest our money as nobody can guarantee that things can go well but this is better than just waiting for nothing. Compared to gold, stocks and other investment vehicles, it is now cryptocurrency (especially Bitcoin) that is returning the most profits no wonder CME decided to introduce Bitcoin futures to the market later this year and maybe SEC may finally say yes to ETFs next year. Traditional way of investing can still be good but definitely cryptocurrency is a way, way better.
You are right to say that inflation destroys our savings in Fiat. But where's the confidence that bitcoin was not invented by the bankers of the Federal reserve system of the United States? Perhaps the goal of bitcoin is to collect all the dollars that have purchasing power and then the bubble bursts. Perhaps the Americans want to get rid of 19 trillion of its debt?
220  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin in legal sense on: November 03, 2017, 04:05:46 PM
Only Japan and South Korea legal bitcoin. For my country, my government not yet legalized bitcoin.
I hope someday my government will legalized bitcoin. Because bitcoin can help country in economic side.

Not only Japan and South Korea if you have missed Malaysia and Australia if I'm not mistaken bitcoin there is already legal and is being supported by the government. By the way, if you don't mind in what country do you live? Also in Philippines bitcoin is also legal as someone posted it here on forum about this news http://www.philstar.com/business/2017/08/19/1730418/bsp-approves-registration-2-bitcoin-exchange-operators
And cheer up that your government will legalized bitcoin, very soon.
I think you do not fully understand the problem. This article is a question of legality of existence in the Philippines of electronic exchanges for cryptocurrency trading. It is quite another. You can't use bitcoin to purchase goods. If you have received income on the exchange then you will have to transfer it into Fiat. This means that you will be required to pay the tax. The currency of bitcoin is not recognized.
