2001  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Hillary Clinton Trustworthy? on: May 20, 2015, 12:59:05 AM
The questions and their quick responses touched on a number of subjects that have been swirling around the candidate, including about the income she received from her speaking engagements and the on-going controversy over her private e-mail system while Secretary of State. Our Robert Costa breaks down the questions and response.

By our count, from our Clinton clock, it had been 40,150 minutes -- nearly a full month -- since Clinton last answered a question from WMUR-TV in New Hampshire. But today, the clock has been reset.

Rand Paul filed Audit the Fed as amendment to Trade Promotion Authority bill

Plenty to Navigate to Get ‘Fast Track’ Through Senate

The pathway to Senate passage of legislation to restore “fast-track” authority for trade authority is full of obstacles, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wants to avoid any more.

...

And later Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., filed an amendment to the trade bill that could further complicate the plans of Hatch and McConnell if he seeks a vote.

Paul has filed his Federal Reserve transparency measure, which is always one of the more contentious items on Capitol Hill. The amendment would direct the Government Accountability Office to conduct a full audit of the Fed within a year of enactment. The amendment also would direct the comptroller general to audit home loan files from 2009 and 2010 involved in enforcement actions.

Cases like this is where I side w/ the police and have respect for the shit they have to deal with. I really don't like miscreant, low intelligence people that are prone to violence so I prefer the police gang in this particular situation.

Yep, at some point the trolling reject will but unemployed and so short on social skillz that there will be nothing left in their life. Better start working on being normal soon.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Casualty List on: May 19, 2015, 11:57:01 PM
Good grief, this list certainly puts things into perspective and I certainly wouldn't want to share that w/ new interested parties. Of course, that also showcases the storms that bitcoin has weathered and how resilient it is.

The way to simplify the immigration process, other than background checks, is to have incoming signs at border posts that relay that no entitlement services will be available upon entrance and then only the productive will be on the procession rolls.
2007  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Bitcoin bill -- Please tell N.C. to vote no! (x-post: Bitcoin Discussion) on: May 19, 2015, 10:26:40 PM
Should've known that Coinbase was cool w/ this considering they'd like to limit competition by the small fries. Also, there is no VAT tax in the US tho I believe capital gains is where gold would fall under, bitcoin appreciation too.
2008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: John Kerry: Internet 'Needs Rules to Be Able to Flourish and Work Properly' on: May 19, 2015, 10:20:47 PM
All of his commentary is just window dressing for the real culprit they are worried about is the free flow of information that more people are accessing and seeing what a fraud the system has become. Plus, it allows for organizing among strangers locally or across the nation. All govts have self preservation as item number 1.
2009  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Charlie Hebdo killings were by 'US and Mossad' to keep Israel's Netanyahu on: May 19, 2015, 10:17:27 PM
Not that I'm taking this seriously but it is interesting seeing these kinds of theories emanating out of the left wing considering many of them mock extreme righters who have their anti-govt theories about random events in the past.
2010  Other / Politics & Society / Re: christians fined for refusing to bake cake for diseased sodomites on: May 19, 2015, 10:14:18 PM
As we are seeing quite regularly now, tolerance is becoming a one way street and the white socially conservative Christian isn't benefiting anymore. That said, if you're in business you should be looking for any and all you can get. I'm not saying anyone should be forced to do biz with those they disagree with but bigotry eventually will put you under.
2011  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Putin Invasion Coming This Summer on: May 19, 2015, 10:10:23 PM
Well, this had to be sorted out at some point considering the west had feet on the ground stirring up the Ukrainian situation for the worse over and above messing w/ Putin's pipeline into Europe.
2012  Economy / Speculation / Re: How SOON will the BTC rally begin? on: May 19, 2015, 10:01:36 PM
Poll result is making me both happy and sad happy that more people believe that BTC will rally in this month  ;)and sad because top one is sept 2016, thats a big time to wait  Cry
i will stick with may 2015. Cool

No rally this month dude. Its gonna take time Like I explained earlier. Just wait it out and you'll be ok.
Most people will not wait it out. They aren't programmed to think long term. They want constant quick satisfaction. Most people reading this right now, will not become millionaires off BTC because we are going to go through really long times of low price generating mass desperation, the ones that make it through the storm will be the 1%.
It's hard to tell what a real life percentage will look like, I can only go off of what I see on here and the one or two people I know irl that hold coins. Depending on how new someone is to bitcoin and whether or not they have the intestinal fortitude to deal w/ such a desperation is the main ingredient here. I don't know what your definition of "really long times" is but I doubt this kinda term will happen between now and higher prices. Moon is up for speculation of course.
2013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Only pre-existent bitcoin bag holders are buying on GBTC & XBT on: May 19, 2015, 09:55:49 PM
Daily ritual, what a sad little creature. Can't imagine any real humans wanting to associate or befriend such a creep.
2014  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: May 19, 2015, 09:50:23 PM
Yeah, we're not exactly seeing a major rush by wall street or pensioners to get in on coins right now. Guess we're gonna need that license to get this brokers and hedge funds buying on a much larger scale.
2015  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-19] NewsBTC: Developing Countries Adopting Blockchain for Land Titles on: May 19, 2015, 09:42:11 PM
It's nice to see the benefits of the blockchain finally coming into use step by step. Failure seems less of an option as time goes forward and I'm not worried about it at all. People can be worn down at times by trolls loling at the price and predicting doom but they sure don't show up or have anything to say about worthy news items about enhancements in the ecosystem and newer outfits making use of them.
2016  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-19] New York Stock Exchange Launches Bitcoin Pricing Index NYXBT on: May 19, 2015, 09:38:17 PM

Right. The last few weeks the amount and speed of really good news has increased. It's just a matter of time until this will reflect in prize.
No kidding, things have been snowballing a lot faster in recent times. I remember years back when you'd get one good piece of news over the course of a few months. And yes, the prize is coming soon. Smiley

PHOTOS: Rand Paul in Burlington (Iowa)

Photographer commentary:  One of the more interesting events was the Fairfield event, as it is where the transcendental meditation school is, and went heavily for Ron Paul in the last 2 election cycles. I think Rand did very well with the audience there at that event, as well as the other audiences he spoke to throughout Iowa. It was a lot of fun being able to photograph him on the campaign trail again.
