Hey are there any new things in the pipeline/happening with mintcoin? I've been a believer since the very start and still do believe!

Yeah, I know the feeling, I am in this to whatever end. At this point will I rather donate my mint or print them out on a paper wallet, put them away and forget about them... I refuse to sell.

Hold on to those MINT's... to whatever end.

bank failures and politics scare me less than BTC potentially dropping to zero.

My intention is to get it graded first... I believe its MS69 possibly 70

MS70 might be a little too optimistic...

2006  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Buy, Sell, or Trade Collectors Silver, Gold, and Bullion on: August 17, 2014, 08:19:27 AM
They do not have any spots, they are graded MS69 by NGC in protected slabs, and guaranteed to stay in their "near perfect" condition, as long as the slab isn't broken. And yes, I can ship to Europe, as long as you aren't in Germany. Germany has pretty strict metal importation laws from outside of Europe in particular.

They can still have spots even though they are slapped and graded MS69-70, the spots can unfortunately develop after the grading.
But if you say that they fit the grade then will I take your word for it.

You are correct, I was thinking of spots that occur from wrongful handling. The milky spots I'm assuming you are referring to are from the minting process, and not rinsing off a chemical at the correct time, which is a common issue with certain mints. I will double check to make sure they are clear of those as well for you  Smiley

Yes exactly, I was revering to the milk spots.
I do not think the 2013 has big issues with milky spots, but 2014 has problems.

Everything listed in my OP that doesn't have SOLD next to it. The quantities are updated, and I've removed the items that I don't expect to have more of in the near future. Some things I've left up and just indicated that they have sold if I have more and am on the fence to sell more or not.

Thanks.

Does the panda's have any spots?

Do you ship to Europe?

2013  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool luck? on: August 15, 2014, 12:12:42 PM
And I have the deepest respect for Eleuthria / BTCGuild for the initiatives they did when the pool reached ~40% in spring 2013.

More miners need to care about things like this.

It is scary that so many miners just point they rigs blindly towards a pool with more than 30% hashpower.

It's is equivalent to sitting in a tree and start sawing in the branch you are actually sitting on.

2014  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool luck? on: August 15, 2014, 12:09:47 PM
Somebody once had a fat finger episode and included about 100BTC of fees accidentally on a transaction.  BTC Guild processed that transaction and Eleuthria took the fees away from his own pool and gave it back to the user.  Yes you could see that as stealing from the the miners, but it is generally regarded by most as the right thing to do.

The miners did not "loose" anything by this act.
Eleuthria did the right thing (imo)

I did try to pull through all of the homepage content and feature the most important points of the coin above the fold. I also tried to break down the verbiage for non-techies to understand key points about the coin.

I would like to make a recommendation:

Don't leave it up the the reader to do the work of figuring out the math. Come right out and say it...

Extremely fast 2 minute transactions. 30x faster than Bitcoin! Orders of magnitude more energy efficient!

You should actually say how fast the transaction speed is "2 minutes".

Well... I tend to agree on that argument.
But first of all it is not "transactions" that is faster, it is confirmations, which is two different things.
Bitcoin has a transaction time of a few seconds, similar to MINT. The transaction occur when a node picks up the signed transaction, the transactions will then spread to the other nodes on the network.
At this time is the transaction not reversible, however the possibility of double spend is possible (but extremely unlikely).

The actual confirmation of this transaction is when the transaction is included in a block - AND THIS is significant faster for MINT compared to BTC.
And from here is double spends a looser's game, since the double spend would be at least one block behind.

In real life micro transaction is confirmation not important, unless you trade some thing big such as a car, house, goldbars etc. - and here is the waiting for a few confirmations not critical.

But yes, marketing that MINT has fast confirmation is a way to go, its just not that important for the average user.

So if we should quantize the transactions time, like coolbeans suggest (which is a good idea), then would it be a matter of 1-2 seconds - or rather "instantly".
2017  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool luck? on: August 14, 2014, 08:25:42 PM
I'm new and have been using btcguild and ghash.io. I am seeing accusations of stealing from miners being aimed at both pools.

...Snip...

Are there any pools that come with verifiable honest dealings with miners?

You will be hard pressed to find a more reputable and responsive pool operator then Eleuthria at BTC Guild.  I have NEVER heard of BTC Guild "stealing" from miners.  Whoever told you that either knows something I don't or is a bald faced liar!

+1

Agreed.

When I was mining last year, BTCGuild was my choice.

And I have the deepest respect for Eleuthria / BTCGuild for the initiatives they did when the pool reached ~40% in spring 2013.

2018  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [CROWFUND]BTC to the stratosphere: The project (High Altitude Balloon involved) on: August 14, 2014, 08:02:05 PM
did you need a launch permit from air control?

Yes!

In fact we have to call them before launch, air traffic needs to be rerouted.

That's awesome stuff.

Good luck!

Is there a casascius coin in the payload?

Sadly not :/

What a shame, guess its hard to find a donator for such a thing Sad

Is there a paper wallet with bitcoins or something like that as payload?
